I sadly does not have enough spare time to enter this competition on a serious level så therefore...

MERRY CHRISTMAS! here is my unused SLS Competition code up for the grab:-)
DHD3-4HB9-A3DH

This is an Norwegian purchased game version if that is important to know.
Use it in good health and send me pictures of the car if ya win:-)

Can you choose which bob will drive? Is it necessary to use all your drivers or may be only one high-levelled bob will be enough for all 5 races?
Any Impressions?

You can choose one of your Bob's! But my highest level Bob lvl33 is consistently driving around 5 sec slower on several track than my level 29 Bob!

And you only use one driver on each of the races(at least for now)

The challenge show up under Seasonal Challenges. Seems to work like the previous challenges except that it's B-Spec. You start last and need to work your way up to first place within five laps.
You're given the SLS AMG '10 on Sports Soft and can only use 1 bob per race. Your final ranking are based on the total time from all 5 races.

The 5 tracks are:
  • Superspeedway Indy
  • High Speed Ring
  • Monza
  • Tsukuba
  • Circuit de la Sarthe

What are your Bob's hotness levels in driver type. Is the Level 33 one a more cool driver than 29?

Can you tune the SLS? I hope not as it opens up too many variables.

Nope you cant do anything with the car!

And yeah my 33 is cooler than my 29 but still! Dang... Glad i got six drivers to try one is at the hottest so i'll try them all. And some might be better on one track than another maybe!

That's good news about the car being fixed. Not looking good for me on the driver side then as I have only one highish level driver and he is just turning to level 24. Also he is right on the cool side so the only hope I have is to redline him all the way as he doesn't make many mistakes.

Edit: About your drivers, I assume the speed level on your Level 33 driver is higher than the 29. If it is then I may may have to get another two more drivers varying in hotness levels and level them up. Did you redline it all the way? Thanks for the information so far.

Redlining all the way does not help much when other cars constantly block you! This is all about luck not B-spec level....

This seems unfair to me.!

Everyone should of had to pick a new set of bobs to develop over the period, what at crock..

Seems kind of random thanks to the other cars on the track... but I guess you need level 40 drivers to be seriously competitive. Redlining my hot level 31 driver all the way through on a fairly clean run still put me somewhere around 6 seconds behind the current all-region leader on Indy.

I was hoping personally it was going to be a time trial for the Bobs as it looks less of the luck factor in Bob making that move. Redlining helps to a certain extent as it keeps you with the pack and not only that but my Bob has made some pretty impressive overtakes when he is mad. He took 3 once around the outside of a corner with similar powered cars.

Well having a look on the World ranking i see a LOT of drivers 10-20 levels lower than me and there Bob's can drive up to 10-15sec faster than mine(i've driven a lot of B-spec and i know how to do it).... Lucky ******

If that is the case, then I may scratch my code off now and give my B-Spec driver a run and see how competitive he is.

To be fair, they did give us notice to start levelling up our B-Spec drivers after the launch of the game and a month is plenty of time to level up to the top if you are dedicated enough.

To be fair B-spec can hardly be considered "video gaming". I have a lvl 20 Bob and getting lvl 40 seems rather dull.

It is all subjective, like some may consider Football Manager games not "video gaming" but others might. I personally see it as getting loads of credits and cars relatively easily, and not only that but it helps towards completion of the game and my competitiveness in this competition.

did indy, level 30 bob, managed to get 5th in region over 5 seconds behind top guy, who happens to be top in world and region, gonna get the wife to level bob constantly whilst I'm at work all day then see what happens once I reach 40 some time in late jan..... this is such a luck game mode, hit and miss, sometimes I can get bob to pass thee cars before he hits the back straight on first lap, then next time he bumper rides second last car for half a lap, I mean really Bob you're a douche!!! oh well.

Although this is not the place to discuss this, the B-spec mode is a joke. It feels like a rushed job and really not that necessary. There are tons of way to improve the actual mode.

Anyway as I said - I'm selling my code (since I wont be winning anyway) for car offers.

All the news reports say "participating countries". I check official site --> can't find the list. I google for 15 minutes --> can't find the freakin' list. I search this forum for 15 minutes --> can't find the freakin' list.

Is it really impossible to find whether or not my country is in this damn competition? Why do they make everything so hard?

You should click on the Signature Edition Prize Competition entry on the official Gran Turismo website. You do have to have the code to enter though. Here is the list anyway:

Most participating countries will be joined together to form regions. The regions shall be as follows:

1.UK & Ireland – top 2 entrants
2.Germany & Austria – top 2 entrants
3.France & Switzerland – top 3 entrants
4.Portugal & Spain – top 2 entrants
5.Italy – top entrant
6.Finland, Sweden, Denmark & Norway – top entrant
7.Greece, Czech Republic, Russia & Poland – top entrant
8.Australia & New Zealand – top 2 entrants
9.South Africa, UAE & Saudi Arabia – top entrant

(each a “Region”).

What about the people that may have only had the game since Xmas day?

I wonder how many SE's there are left unsold, what if you pick one up now with your Xmas money..i won't be suckered into buying blind again.

Would it have been too hard to implement both A&B-spec challenges into the comp' and take the winning time as an average of all races

Q. Will bob level up by running the challenge, or do you have to level up in b-spec mode, then run the challenge? If so, that's another fail! 👎

In the UK I believe it is all sold out. SE is not just for the SLS Competition, it is also for the 12 in-game exclusive cars, exclusive USB Fob, Wallet, Car Model and Coffee Book. The Apex Magazine is also only included in it.

As vicheous has reported, many drivers at a lot lower levels is beating him by 10 seconds + . I think this competition is about luck grinding.

You get XP (and CR) every time you race but not a lot. I think the High Speed Ring gave 6x00 XP and 37000 CR.

EDIT: Monza gave 9500 XP and 49000 CR.

EDIT2: Tsukuba - 9100 XP and 47000 CR.

Yea I know, I have the SE, the main reason for buying was the comp' if I'd known it was b-spec i wouldn't have bothered. The model is pretty naff, as are the other bits if you're honest. The best bits are the apex book & stealth cars, and chances are you'll be able to DL them before too long.
