This thread is for standard car diggers avid for compare these cars to their premium similar models. Have you found any standard car witch is superior than his "premium version", not only by the spec numbers, but also in the track?

So far, what i discovered is:

Silvia S13 K´s Standard >>> Silvia S13 Dia Selection Premium
Silvia S15 Spec-R Standard >>> Silvia S15 Spec-R Premium
Aston Martins DB9 Standard >>> Aston Martins DBS Premium

It's all about how the car is set up, not if it is premium or not. A standard car with a decent drift set up will always beat its equivalent premium model with a very bad set up.

I understand your concern. But in these 3 cases, i finetuned and tested exaustively both cars, only to be sure that it wouldn´t be better only in the statistics, but also on the track (because it can happen, a car be good only on paper).

Serioulsy now, if you pre-judge every person as a noob, you can get screwed and embarassed very easily. Don´t do it.

I was just saying that it doesn't matter if your car is premium or not it's all about the set up which determines if it is a good drift car or not.

Actually, you'd be wrong. There have been known errors with the standard cars modelling which makes them largely different to the Premium counterpart. If they have a good tune or not, there will be a difference no matter how much you try to tune it out, it'll be there, big or small.

Interesting point. I always believed that these diferences would be due any slighty diference of models, special editions at certain year that became more popular and nerfed after one year or two... u know, these things happens in real life too.

For exemple, the S15 standard ('99) and the premium ('02) feels diferent, have diferent specs, but also the body models are a bit diferent too (standard more rounded, premium more squared). Somehow, the standard is impressively better, even being older. Plus, with a good wheel set and properly lowered (standard cars looks lower than premium cars, most of them) it looks even better, cose the standard rims solve that darn ugly tiny tire band effect impregned in the premium one.

I too would agree with the S15 Spec-R Standard being >> than the Premuim, after a few hours of trialing and adjusting settings, the differences do make themselves known.
