the 300 looks weird. did you use lens flare on the headlights ? the way the pic looks freaks me out a little bit, plus the car is red too :D i think my favorite update, was the one you posted after you got back. specially the first one.

snip

I have another photo not quite as good, entitled "Me vs MnmBmx" but for now i want your attention on this ^^^^^

You just have to say my name...... What is that anyways?
Whatever, I think your new update looks fantastic (but not so sure about the Land Rover :indiff:) The photo looks as if its coming at ya!

Double post, sorry!

Any way heres a half decent shot entitled "Me v.s MnmBmx"

There will be more in this series, if you want post your favourite car, and ill do a similar thing!

So please post your fave!
eg.
Speed and his DB7
Tommii and his Quattro ...ect

 It looks awesome! :D but as you know, i'm using the pink clio! I don't use blue, as a matter of fact, i hate Blue!!!! Just kidding, its okay....its your photo, not mine. :indiff:

lol well im afraid blue was the only one to come

i tried editing the hue, but it didnt work out so reat on the rest of the car!

Oh!! Do me verses Tommi!!! He will want some type of rubbish Audi knowing him and I want to be in a DB9!!! That would be sweet.....

Great shot there! The only major fault I see there is the wheel blur is not quite right...but I know that you are using GIMP so it might be quite difficult compared to photoshop. Anyway great work!

let me guss! The Stratos right? i knew it! im not sure but there might be a way i can do it better using the perspective, oh well!

oh and yeah ill do you vs tommi! ill post it in a few days 👍

Also i might do a couple of GIMP Tutorials!

interesting. is it possible you could "leak" your smudge/blur tool settings? it smudges way too much or not at all so ive kind of given up on gimp for the moment in favour of image ready. but, im interested in seeing what your settings for opacity/flow rate is. maybe i can clean up pictures in the near future :)

the clio looks like it's been smudged a bit much, bit too blurry in fact for both, but i like the idea though :)

Since the old banners have broken, heres my NEW Nc banners, enjoy!

It is under way now!

Oh, another GIMPer, its good to know we aren't dwindling in numbers.

I'd love to see another GIMP tutorial.👍

BTW, these banners are pretty nice, but IMO, the last one should like the others.

GIMP TUTORIAL 1

Gimp is a free, easy to use tool for people who dont have photoshop. It has all the tools and can be downloaded if you search on google!

Basic Editing

img0002sx1.jpg

Heres the shot.

We are going to turn it into something like this...

img0002qr1.jpg

First, select the clone tool in the main gimp panel, it looks like a little joystick!

Then... press control so the cursor changes to a crosshair, and click just above the GRANTURISMO / SCEI stamp. Then rub across the stamps, holding down left click and watch the stamp dissapear. Use the convolge tool to touch it up a little.

By the end of our tutorial it should look like this :-
img0002av5.jpg

Now on the picture window, Selct tools - Colour Tools - Brightness-Contrast.

Move the sliders until it reaches a good level.
Now just above brightness contrast, there should be Hue-Saturation. Click on it. move the sliders again until it looks good. If you want your RUF to be orange instead of yellow...
Check to button next to the Y and move the hue, youll notice only the yellow colours in the picture change.

If you noice your colours are all a bit jaggy, like on the hood, i can see lots of little squares. Just use the convolge tool set to a rate of about 40 to sort it out.

It should look a little like this now.

img0002tf9.jpg

Now to give this picture a Niche, we are going to make an interesting blur.
In the far bottom left of the picture window, youll see a button. your wholepage should turn slightly red. Select a white pen, and colour in the whole of the car. you should see the red dissapear on your car.

this picture will help :-

Use a black pen to fill in with red again. Click the button on the bottom left and youll se we have selected the car!But for our blur we want to select everything EXCEPT the car, so click on select, and then invert next to File and Edit, to change the unselected parts to being selected. Phew!

Now, put your cursor over the cars badge, and read to co-ordiantes 482, 914!
Click on the filters tab and then blur. then click on motion blur. check the Zoom option. set the lenght to 5 and type in the co-ords. Click ok... and watch the magic happen!

Click on select, then Select none to clear all selections. Convolge any ugly black lines around the car, and there we have it!

Great tutorial SimmiS:tup:, It'll really help some people out, especially because I am thinking of downloading it myself.

Thanks

Tommi:)

you can also achieve the same effect with a layer mask.

[edit - is it okay if i post a remix shot or two of your original you used in your tutorial? :) ]
