Has anyone seen the previews yet? This movie is gonna rock the movie house. Robert Rodriguez & Tarentino along with the comic book author Frank Miller with an all star cast including Bruce Willis. It's either you have a full blown all-star cast or none at all. Anything in between is the recipe for a bad movie. Man, this movie looooooooooks soooooooo coooooool.

I was hoping for a Kill Bill type movie to come out again this year and bam! look at them previews.

BTW, the song in the trailer is called Cells by the Servant. Only rock song that'll be in my CD player.

I rarely see movies in theaters, but the Ring 2(this Friday) and Sin City, I've already decided on seeing. Cast for this movie is just insane, and you gotta love Bruce Willis! 👍

I'm confused on the whole "guest director" thing going on in this movie. Is tarantino directing just a segment or is he doing the whole thing? I plan on seeing it.

Wasn't he pretty much doing samething on the "From Dusk Till Dawn"? My guess is that Tarantino is co-directing the movie on a part-time basis, since he and Rodriguez are like brothers.

This movie is going to freaking rock man. I can't wait to see that come whenever it comes out.

Ring 2 is gonna be awesome as well.

Ring 2 looks cool tho. I'll be laughing tho thruout the movie (best way to get thru scary movies is by seeing the whimsical side of a thriller).

Tarentino and Rodriguez are friends. More like best/good friends. Not sure bout best actually. Maybe buddy's is a good adjective

I'll try to remember that. First Ring was the scariest movie, I've ever seen. :nervous:

From what I've seen and read about these two, if they were any closer, they'd be married to each other. :D

It's a cool comic. I haven't seen the trailers. Frank Miller is a pretty bitter bastid when he's in the mood, though.

After seieng Pulp Fiction and both Kill Bill movies, I will see anything with Tarentino anywhere near directing. He makes my favorite kind of movie: very gory and endlessly entertaining. The Previews look awesome. Looks very worthy.

I'm quite excited for this movie, I've read the 3 series that the movie is based on and the stories were damn good, but the only bad part for me is that I know all the twists already.

It has great plot too?! I would've loved this movie for the director(s) and the cast alone(I'm serious). I can't wait!!

I just saw the trailer yesterday and all I can say is "Wow." What a cast. Besides, since it was co-directed by Quentin Tarantino, I'm obligated to see it! :D

:sly: Yeah, I'm hyped for this flick too. I'm actually going the day after it comes out to see it, though (gotta buy a new outfit and avoid the ass****s that'll be yappin' their asses off on opening day). However, I seem to be in a bit of a pickle. The movie theater that I'm going to requires you to show I.D in order to see R-rated movies, and, well, I don't have an I.D. Keep in mind here that I AM 17, and hopefully I can get an I.D card between now and Saturday. But if not, then I ask of this: Does anyone here have any tips as to how the get the ticket booth people to believe you're old enough to see the flick? I absolutely CANNOT miss out on Sin City. Any help's appreciated. Thanks. :sly:

Why not buy a ticket for another movie and sneak into the Sin City auditorium? Here in Canada, the AMCs are all set up so you can do that (though sometimes they've got someone checking tickets / IDs at the doors of the actual theatre the movie's playing in...).

Bruce Willis? Try Jessica Alba.

I just hope it doesn't become a Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow remake. All effects, no intense story. Hopefully Tarantino can prevent that.

Have a friend buy them for you. Or do what Anderton said.

Tarantino working on it = silver screen glory

I just wish his films werent a cuss fest. I'm not an uber-proper person or anything, but heering "The F word" 60 times within a 45 minute period is a little much for me. Yes I'm exagerating on that. Being that I myself am writing screenplays, I'm noticing that cussing to that extent should be used on a rare, and justifyable, basis. For example, when angry, frustrated, or when the guy beside you gets his head blown apart, that is a justifyable "****!" when greeting friends and having diner, it is not a justifyable "****!"

anyway, Tim Roth is in this, right?

Saw it today, and I must say that it rocked. Followed the standard Tarantino formula. Lure the viewer in with random short stories, and at the end, wrap it all up in a neat, little, bloody package. The Cinematography was incredible! Should most definately be up for the Art, Cinematography, and Best Director categories.

9.5/10

EDIT: Oh yes, and Jessica Alba was smokin'!

Just saw it and I have to say WHOA! That movie was AMAZING! I cant believe how great it is from the trailers! The whole movie is in Black and White except some parts such as that orange goblin guy. But other than that it was pretty damn kickass even though it was in Blakc and White! 9.5/10

Damn, I forgot this movie was due out today! Sounds like I'm gonna have to go see it this weekend. Two members rating it 9.5/10! Sounds like near-perfection(unless it's another April 1st joke...........).

 No seriously its pretty badass!

Interesting tidbit: I share a last name with the actor who plays Marv, and that last name is pronounced the same as the Roark family's last name. Also, my first name is Kevin, like Elijah Wood's character. My name is Kevin. It was very strange...

I'll be going to see the movie next week.Looking forward to it.In the meantime i made this wallpaper.

Tell me what you think.

Very nice. I like the layout. 👍

I saw it last night, and it was quite good. The cinematography was not simply incredible, it was breathtaking. The movie was beautiful, like artwork.
Quentin Tarantino, a man for whom I have lost all but a little respect since the debacle that was Kill Bill Vol. 2, thankfully had VERY LITTLE to do with Sin City. He directed a small part of the second story, particularly the part where Benicio Del Toro's corpse taunts Clive Owen's character in the car. That small scene is all Tarantino was able to get his pompous hands on. The real magic flows from Directors Robert Rodriguez (who quit the Directors' Guild because they wouldn't let him have two directors in his movie) and of course Frank Miller, the other director and creator of the comic book. These two men worked in complete collaboration to create a masterpiece.

I thought Jessica Alba sucked rocks. She's only moderately attractive, she can't act worth a ****, and she was wearing a wig the whole movie in case you didn't notice.

Mickey Rourke, on the other hand, was amazing. His portrayal of Marv is nothing short of Oscar-worthy in my opinion. And Clive Owen, who before this movie I thought of as just another pansy British actor trying to make it big in America a la Hugh Grant, Colin Firth, etc, really surprised me. Now I actually like him a lot.

Anyway, if you have to be told to see this movie you probably won't like it. But, SEE THIS MOVIE! And in theatres too. Don't wait until it comes out for rental.

First off, I loved Kill Bill, especially the vol.2. I also can't believe you didn't like Clive Owen until seeing this movie. I actually am hoping he is the next James Bond.

As for the Sin City, you are the third person(out of 3) to give this movie an high thumbs up, so I will go see it sometime this weekend. 👍

Clive Owen's a good actor, I didn't think that highly of him until last year, but then I hadn't seen him in much until last year. I'm not sure if he's the right guy to do Bond, I don't think his image fits the profile, I'm sure if he was chosen, his acting would be spot on though.
