Any suggestions for foglights? I'll make this clear now, I want Halogens and not HID's. Don't care for the look of HID's and don't want to blind people.

I was thinking about putting these in anyways, I have mounts for them. My front end sits low right now due to slightly worn out struts that aren't getting replaced for a while and my lights are kinda dim stock as it is (even after replacing the old, worn out housings) and I haven't upgraded them yet. I was planning on wiring in full-time fogs that run with the standard lights as well as a foot controler dimmer switch for high/low beams as I really do not like that being controlled by my turn signal lever.

50 watt lights will probably be plenty, but suggestions are welcome.

I suppose its time for some kind of update. Not really a whole lot going on but here's a few recent events.

Finally got my drivers license which means this thing is up for being put back on the road. I inspected it and it passed, however I need to have a shop put a window sticker on it because I'm not yet licensed to do so. The advantage of having that license is I can legally determine what can or cannot be street driven. :)

It also needs to be reregistered and have that sticker put back on. So there's $130 out the window between the two.

We started it up and moved it around a few weeks ago the day we fired the 'ol red Ford up just to let it run in for a little bit. The battery is absolutely shot. It's so shot that the entire electrical system is running off the alternator leading to some funky electrical issues every so often.

Dad took it up and down the road a few times at wide open throttle and he says its not shifting right; not wanting to change gears in drive and what not. It's been having issues for a while now but I'm beginning to wonder if the sensors are beig screwed up because of the electrical problems with the battery and alternator. Once I get a new battery for it (so I don't have to keep using dads portable jump box to start it) I'm going to test it again and see if it persists.

As expected the front brakes were smoking like a son of a bitch after locking them up a couple times in the driveway from sitting for so long, that should be resolved once I start putting around again.

Later today I plan on putting some old tapes and CDs in there, mostly to have them just in case even though I'll primarily use my iPod. After that I'm going to put a couple graduation tassels and a red bandana hanging from my rear view. The red bandana is kinda nostalgic for me, as the truck used to have one just like it growing up to match the paint.

I also plan on making some homemade automotive related window stickers to put on it just to make myself feel better and because race car. Even though it'll have next to no parts on it, it'll still stand out from stock when I'm done with it. The plan is to print out some various logos and stuff, cut them out, cover them with tape to make them glossy and then tape them to the inside of my back windows

What the hell, why not?

Please put blue Viper stripes on it. And I'm genuinely serious. Hell, if they were a factory option for a Neon and a Durango of all things, a Caravan wouldn't be all that implausible either.

I won't be going over the top with it. Mostly just little likes like "Summit Racing" or "Holley Equipped" or "MSD Ignition", just little ones in the back windows

I'll send you a whole roll of Derale Performance stickers :P you'd be able to sticker bomb your whole car.

You know that this is Slash you are talking to? I'm pretty sure he won't put Eibach sticker in his car.
There would have been more but no one decided to tell me that my printer was damn near out of ink so half of them came out looking like garbage :/

Did manage to get a Summit Racing one, Mopar, Accel and Mac Tools though

What I managed. Time to give it a good wash and when I get paid sometime next week I'm going to get a couple cans of plasti-dip and do the bottom half me thinks. How many cans do you think I'll need? I can't imagine more than 3.

I'd think more like 5 cans, you want enough coats that it's thick enough to pull off. I used 4-5 cans just doing my four wheels.

I probably won't do more than 2, maybe 3 coats. I don't need it real thick, nor do I care if I can pull it off, I just want to be able to cover up the bottom half and clean it up. Also has a couple small dents I'd like to pull out but those aren't a huge deal.

How much should 5 cans cost? I've only got about $100 to work with.

You should put a tree shaped air freshener on the mirror.
If I get any air freshener it's going to be a purple leaf and it's going to hang on the radio knob because personal nostalgia.

Either amazon or home depot sells them for 6 dollars a can. For 100 bucks you could do the whole van in a ridiculous color

I don't know if I will gloss it. Probably not simply because all the trim is matte style. I would use bed liner but this is a cheaper alternative. I did check out that site though and when I have time I will search around some more. I just hope I have enough painters tap. If I do and have enough of both left over I might black out my entire dashboard.

Going to wash this thing down probably tomorrow provided it doesn't rain and get it ready for this weekend or next week for dippin'.

I would not gloss it either. Especially with winter right around the corner. My friend has an almost identical van to yours. He painted the lower part flat black along with the wheels and it actually looks REALLY good. I will try to find the pictures of it for you. Might take a day or 2 for the pics.

I was thinking I wasn't going to anyways simply because it would throw it all off being that the rest of the trim is a flat gray style. I don't know if I'll do the wheels either...maybe at some point. I'd definitely like to see pics of that.

I sent him an email. He also lives in NY just like you but he is out of town. When you see the black painted wheels, you will most likely want to do it for sure. It matches the lower part of his van perfectly and looks very good. Hopefully he will send pics today but as I said, he is out of town so I might not hear from him until tomorrow.

Awesome, can't wait to see it. If it really looks as good as you say it does, I might just have to do the wheels too :D

Yeah honestly you wont believe how good it looks.

I can also tell you a little trick to do the wheels which will involve no prep work at all to the tires.

Apply some Armorall or something like that to the side of the tires to get them nice and greasy / shiny. Then when you spray the plastic dip onto the wheels, it will stick to the wheels, but not the side of the tires. ;)

My wheels hubcaps are entirely removable :D
