Mazda RX-7 Type-R '93 & Friends @ Laguna Seca

___________________________

Update: This is a selfish update, really. I've wanted to take pictures of an FD for a very long time, and while I've done it a couple times for comps, never for the gallery. The colour of this one is just perfect in my eyes, and I only wish I could own one of these puppies one day. Like the S2000 update, simple editing, nothing too fancy like the Scoob. Enjoy! :)

FA - Thanks man, I really wanted a clean picture, and surprisingly I didn't need to do too much cleanup!

JFM - Hahaha... thanks bud :)

Funkshen - Thanks for taking a look in here, I appreciate it. Now update your gallery so I have more pics to drool over!

DJS - Thanks you 👍

Mmm, Gran Turismo and Coca-Cola. 2 of my most favorite things ever.

..oh yeah, and the FD.

Nice work! 👍

Plus that car was born the same year as me--'93

Your shots are again....smooth and silky but what i really like is the mature tone to it or in other words it's good for the body and soul. Like an ice cold milkshake.

I am such a big fan of all of your photos man, they are so awesome....such a clean style, i wish i could make my images that clean...

Looks terrific, suprisingly realistic as well. Keep up the good work, the car perfectly suits the track. 👍

Wow, I didn't expect such a positive response!

Pink - Haha, that was my first reaction when I saw an FD for the very first time. I understand

Cod_Father - The last shot is one of my favourites too. Simple, but effective :)

Sakiale - Glad I could join them!

JFM - I like the comparison... but I don't ever remember a milkshake being good for my body. I wish though! Haha, thanks :)

Krame - Thanks man, I always hope that my shots have a certain "something" about them that makes them easily distinguishable as mine, like Franz', 440's, and your's :)

Funkshen - That was an unexpected shot, so I'm glad you enjoyed it so much! I always get the "already taken it" feeling at Laguna, but that's on the last turn and I've never before shot it like that.

Matt - Contrast; it's a wonderful thing ;). Thanks bud!

D_P - Heh, thank you. Making images that clean really isn't hard; sure, I could've cleaned up some stuff in PS7 with the pen tool and some smudging, but the trick with updates like this is just being very selective with your shots. I probably took about 60 and these were the 16 I was most happy with. Try to take a shot in game that has the least amount of pixelization, it helps a lot post-game :)

Rev - Yeah, I know that feeling... whenever I go to your gallery!

GT Pro - I was surprised with how realistic they all came out too, it's a benefit of the tinting. I always try to make the car fit in with the surroundings, so I'm glad you got that feeling 👍

New update will probably be up tomorrow, but first I have to get this week's comp entries out of the way!

Update: Acuras and I don't seem to get along. The CL gave me nightmares and made for a small update, and this time around, the NSX does the same. I drove beside one for quite a while the other day and completely forgot how awesome they are. It was a '97, and the same red, so how could I not? Anyways, another simpler update; the next one will be a lot of fun :)

725 - Thanks dude!

A nice update, but probably not your best. I don't know about you but I always find New York a hard track to take particularly good shots at.

Anyway, a solid update. Looking forward to the next. 👍

I love this update, though i dont think your best either, but very clean shots none the less, and very very nice, interesting angles....awesome update!

The second to last pic looks awesome. Actually, they all look awesome, but that one stands out.

I find New York is a good location to bring out the best in a car.

Brix - I couldn't agree more, I know these are far from my best, which is disappointing because I had illusions of grandeur when I decided on the car/track combo ;). I see some great shots at NYC from other people, but I can never pull it off.

D_P - I'm glad you can be honest. That's actually the only positive I've found at NYC; I find a lot of interesting angles there. Thanks!

FA - Thank you :embarrassed:.

Matt - That shot was definitely the pick of the litter for me, I like it a lot too.

Cod - While I have trouble taking good consistent shots at NYC, I do realize the lighting lends itself to cars like the NSX. In that shot, I loved how the light bounced off the detailing near the headlights (the flipups help there, oddly).

Announcement: So, while I was planning on delaying the next update, it's actually ready faster than I expected. I'll leave this for a few hours so other people can check out the NSX... because this next update will definitely steal any attention away from it :D

I'm going to agree with FaLLeNAn9eL on this one. Your framing is so advanced, and you seem to really understand the car your shooting. You show off all the lines of the car that make it what it is. Very proffessional in the way it's presented. This gallery to me is very much like an online magazine 👍

Update: This is what I was talking about ;). I think it speaks for itself. Enjoy!

Funkshen - That's the greatest compliment I could ask for. I actually did an online magazine for GT2 and 3 (though it sputtered with the latter, since I had an iffy internet connection at the time), and wanted to get it back up for GT4. I think I just take lessons from endless issues of CAR and EVO ;).

Streetz - I'm glad you enjoyed it so much, but I like this one a lot better :D
