Starts we’re half-n-half - some good, some not so good. T1, as usual, is fraught with negative possibilities. And then there’s T2, T3, etc, etc, etc.

@BradESPN is D-2 running with the Yellow headlights again tonight?

It is possible to do the race in one stop

Yes, both cars do about 70% of the race on a single tank of fuel - and if you are gentle to your tires, you should be able to easily do the race in 1 stop.
I think all potential tires have a use here. Some people could do a soft->hard strategy, others could do a medium->medium or some might do a soft->soft->soft

Yea I found out the tires do fall off about 1-2secds after about 35 to 40 mins but I was still able to run either a high 14 or low 15 if i pushed it. But 16s were consistent

My take away was be consistent with laps, do not run off track and damage car (lol), stay off walls, so as not to damage car(lol), hold the line, and DON’T DAMAGE THE FREAKING CAR! I must have made 4-5 pit stops to repair damage last night during that short time span.

“I’m not good at that track”

Yea about that lol I actually love that track for the most part. The night time is tough on the eyes I will say( maybe being up at 5 am has something to do with that) but all in all it was great racing last night.

Yes this track is one that requires you to push the limits of the car in certain places and others you have to be so gentle. Going up the hill I feel like you need to push it and hit your line just right and going down the hill you cant push it or your going to hit a wall.

Just my 2 cents

This is the kind of driver you need to be to hit a fast lap at the mountain in my opinion lol

As to Lapping, or being lapped:

Patience is required, and cooperation by both drivers is essential. No need to endanger both cars by staying in the middle of the track on long straights.

I will give way when it is logical - am hesitant to get close to walls in tight sections.

If anyone's interested in doing some practice 1-lappers before the race tonight, show up early. As soon as we get enough people for it to be worth it (3 per division?) I'll start these sprint races up until the race starts at 9:00 EST.

Sorry again about not being able to make it last night as long as everything goes right I will be on tonight and will definitely need the practice

Good stuff. I think I practiced that last night. Everyone passed me that’s for sure

I enjoy the track too. Just not good there.

I am up at 3:30am daily so my eyes are the same way. A nap is in my near future. ;)

Lmao better get em in while u can once that little one gets here them days are over bud :)

I second that I used to value my naps after work now after 2 kids I'm lucky to sit down after work
This is the exact reason I have been MIA. I am teaching class Monday nights until 8:30/9, then with the baby coming within the next month I have had some other life duties. I am sorry I haven’t been able to mix it up. Thought I would be there tonight and even had the livery set (with yellow lights), but still a no go.

Sorry again guys. (Especially my teammates that I feel I am letting down.)
