With this season of the real world series being the last of eligibility for the Camaro GT4R, there were early season hopes that the Urban Grid team could give the car a championship send off. Daytona almost wrecked (pun intended) their chances of this. However, the team has clawed back with some great driving, pace, and strategy and are now back in the hunt. Check out this article. VIR this weekend. Can the Urban Grid team take it all the way to send the Camaro into a glorious retirement. Stay tuned.

Alright, I smell sandbagging. I’m already in the 12’s at 626 PP? Come on now? I’ve just had 2 practices. I’m willing to bet there’s a low 10, probably flirting with a 9 out there. I just have 370 hp.

I have had only one practice session, 2:13.4 was the best I could manage...will get some practice in next week.

Yeah, I know how that is. We have plenty of time though. I feel like I can get into the 11’s. I just don’t see me getting a 10 out of it. I’m already going across the top WTFO. I’m talking about hanging it out there. My top speed isn’t but 163 mph just before the chase. I’m making all that time across the mountain. I did a 3 hour session. My legs were toast. Lol

Run it without fear!

This BMW is something else. I’m running mid 11s and finding time with some tuning here and there. Raising ride height a bit from Trial Mtn set up got me another 3-4tenths. 2:11.2 is current optimal so there might be a miracle 10 by race night.

Here we go. I’m going to have dig in. The Australian’s are going to incarcerate me. I’m stealing time from the place as is. 12.1 and I’m going to have to steal more. This Camaro is being asked to do what it can’t. Ole War is going to be that ball a flame you posted earlier. I’ll see your 11. Ill pull a shim next practice and soften some brake pressure up. I’ll have to just brush the brakes coming off the hill. I’m going to end up over the darn mountain in the weeds. Lol
To push that hard for that long. And I’m going to reach and push for more? Oh it’s on. The fire is lit. Let’s do this! You better just go ahead and push for that 10.

I just started practicing with the Camaro on the standard tune. (641.85 PP) Coming from the original SNAIL spec series I’m not used to playing with my setup. I tend to adapt my driving to the car instead of adapting the car to my driving. I changed the final gear to 300 kph and thats about it. Overall, I’m pretty satisfied of how the car is handling so I will probably stick with that setup.

I will try to get into the 2:09 in my next practice session. This session was done in an online lobby, late morning S01.

You’ll have to back that off to 640 pp. Anything over is illegal. You’ll still hit a 9 tho. I’m sure of it. I tested at 640 and hit one anticipating your arrival. That’s why earlier in the week I said I wouldn’t be surprised if it was done. A little birdie told me you were pretty quick. Play with it a little, you’ll hit it. You get the right package put together there could be a possibility of a low 8, high 7. You should be able to cut anywhere from 1.5 to 3 seconds off with a good tune.

After running a bunch of laps late last night I ran into town for a cold Fosters. And I’ve tried it @MrDonovan but I can’t do vegemite. 10s remain elusive at full fuel so I’m focusing on consistency and driving wide which isn’t too hard here. Really looking forward to racing this track at night.

The secret is a very thin layer, spread on hot, buttered toast 👌

And nobody here drinks Fosters, that stuff’s for the Brits 😝🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ve seen a single 2:10, but I’ve got a lot of work to do to be more consistent 🏎️🐬

My fastest 11.8
Not way i Can go below that
Dont feel bad....low 12's for me so far.

Alright, last session was better. Been awhile since I've been in the rig...had to get re-acclimated. But, found some time. For most part in the hi 11's-low 12's with fastest laps in the 2:11.0 and opt in the 10.8 ish range. By the sounds of things, it wont be fastest, but hopefully competitive at least.

I finally broke into the 2:09. 14 laps session to work on my consistency. I’m starting to get the hang of it, such a hard track. 639.96 PP tune. I shortened 2nd and 3rd gear and its much more stable coming out of corners.

Next session I’ll try racing at twilight.

I’m looking forward to this friday !
Nice laps. I see a shake up at the top coming, and a hefty handicap coming your way after this event. See ya Friday.👍

I'm bummed that I'm missing this months race.....but happy that I'm skipping this track. Me and that mountain just can't be friends. lol
