Event #2 at the Nurburgring GP Circuit. Wow. There were so many races happening across both races for this event...too many to point out specifically, but I am going to elaborate on mine.
Qualifying didn't fair well for a great starting position, and Race 1 didn't get much better on my end. In the opening lap, I shot for an opening that was quickly closed by @Rob Brown who was trying to avoid his own catastrophe. In the attempt to avoid hitting him, I nipped the track edge and spun. After going 5 sec down and trying to push hard to catch up, I lost control putting me now 15 sec behind the pack....I was now praying for a Caution to pop up...never happened. At this point, my goal was to simply find consistency and better lap times in the hope of a good race 2.
And a great Race 2 it was. Around lap 2, @Stryker13 (DrSpyderPig) was already placing heavy pressure, gluing his nose to my rear bumper. In the midst of defending 4th against Pig, I was closing in on @socalnatv (Sand_68) for 3rd place. This was where the race really ramped up. I made multiple attempts to overtake, but everytime I had be careful with Pig and later @GTR4MROD close in tow. This 3-4 car battle for 3rd lasted nearly 15 laps until Pig went wide in the Schumacher S. Now with a little pressure relieved, I was able to turn my attention back onto Sand_68, with @MrDonovan seeking up on me in the closing laps. On the last lap with MrDonovan now on my tail, and time running out, I finally went full commitment getting a great run out of turn 4 on Sand. I pressed to the outside, going 2 wide with Sand into turn 5, and then managed to edge him out to finish the overtake in turn 6 with MrDonovan trying to sneak through. Sand fended him off to the next corner where MrDonovan and @IceWarden made their way past. Just when I thought it was over and I was in the clear, MrDonovan was not satisfied with 4th, and placed all efforts on taking away 3rd place with multiple advances thru the final 2 sectors. At the final corner, he made lunge for the inside, making light but legal contact, and when we seperated, it was a race to the finish line. This is the margin of victory:
Probably one of if not the most intense and enduring multi-car battles I have had. Great racing to @socalnatv , @Stryker13, @MrDonovan , and @GTR4MROD for such a great race.
Again, many other battles were waged across the grid in this same race...please feel free to share and/or have a look at the broadcasts of the races.
Congratulations to @MrDonovan on the overall Event #2 Win. Great Racing
Ballast adjustments have been made based on the results prior to any issuance of penalties, and the BoP chart updated & edited in the 2nd Post. Be sure to verify or adjust your BoP if necessary before our next event.
We do have 2 incidents reported and under review that could affect the final points Scoring for the event.
The magic of a 2 race format and consistently gaining spots across both races. In the Porsche series last season, @Roman_GT23 did not win one event all season, but won the whole thing with consistently high top 5 finishes in all races. Great racing Ice, well deserved.

Conditions:

To all Drivers tagged in this post, please confirm your status by posting here in the thread or via PSN message that you "will" or "will not" be racing by 5pm Thursday (day before race night) to secure your grid spot and/or to adhere to the absentee policy.
The final Driver BOP regulations have been updated and shown in the 2nd post of the thread. Please verify and apply these latest numbers to your car before entering the race room. Check and double check your BoP number prior to each race. Race Director will not be verifying before the race other than to take a screen shot of the driver specs screen to review post race. Any drivers with incorrect BoP values will be issued a 10 point penalty against their score for the event raced. Please verify your BoP.
Also, I would ask that all drivers re-review section 4 of the first post, (Caution process) for the series. Any questions at all, please reach out and clarify before race night.
The race Event schedule is shown below: 9pm est- open room and verify bops/warm up 9:15pm est -15 minute Open qualifying 9:30pm est - 17 laps to = 40 minute Race 1 10:15pm est- 17 laps to = 40 minute Race 2, (Reverse grid)

All drivers are required to be in the party chat whether they have a mic or not. Caution calling and directives will be issued through the party chat, and for those without a mic, it would come through your monitor/tv audio.
(In the event a Caution is called during the race, I ask everyone to be patient and cooperative.)
Please review tab 4.1 in the first post and clarify or ask any questions before we get to race night.
All drivers who make it on the grid, please stay in the race event for the night if at all possible, as we could potentially have had to turn some drivers away, leaving it a wasted opportunity for them to race. In the Event of a solo off track or spin, run to gather up as many points as possible (and there is always the possibility of a Caution to get you back up to field). Also, ballast adjustments will only be madenif the event is completed. Stay with it and you could earn some help for the next event.
Primary Drivers will be given priority for each class, then go to the Reserves for each class as needed. Reserve Driver priority will be based on event participation, then based on order of confirming availability. Please reply with your intentions either way.

Hey Ice_Warden,
Unfortunately, when an absence is reported, the grid spot is forfeited to any available Reserves. If there was still an opening, you would slot right back in, but all absences have been secured by the 3 available Reserves for this Friday. However, if a spot opens last minute or between now and race night, with this post, you will be the next to bump back in. Moving forward, if you want to hold your spot until absolutely sure you're absent, confirm tentative. That allows me to have a Reserve on the ready, but holds your spot until verified. The only drawback to this, is there is the chance that the spot does not get filled since your absence would be confirmed later than others. I'll keep you posted as we get closer.
