1st post says its the Evora. Not sure if I'm joining in. I want do do some testing for another vintage night. Trying to performance match the 70's hatchbacks.

Never heard from Nic for the third track choice. I bought an Evora and changed the oil, but forgot the PP. 464?

Ah. Didn't notice the update. I will be there...

Sorry for leaving so abruptly but after sitting in a lot-less-than-comfortable cockpit for nearly 3 hours I had had enough.

PS: Fuji is for race cars!

Another 2nd place... Just based on how I felt with the car...I thought I finally had first. We must have been tied going into the last race since he had me by two spots. Maybe next week. 👍

Is the leader board right? I thought Chuyler won the last race.

It is. I did it differently this week. Instead of putting in the place one finished, I put in the points one got for finishing there.

I know, confusing, sorry.

I need to load up Tokyo reverse in practice mode to figure out the lines. I was basically guessing the whole time. That track bugs my eyes out too. I know PD raves about 60fps but it would be a lot easier to see where I was going if they did a little texture smoothing and used 30fps.

On a side note, I have won every Fuji GT race I started in this series except for 1 where Diabolic had a 16 pp advantage. Of course I had to block dabney 30 yards before the finish last night to get the win. It was dirty...but I let him by every other lap only to pass him again. :P He had an extra 10pp and I wasn't going to give it up with 30 yards to go!!!

Like you said, I had a 10pp advantage, you didn't have to let me by, I just needed to find open track.

The first time on Fuji was the biggest gain for Nic though I Didn't realize he had the 5pp over me.
PS: I hate Fuji when run offs aren't penalized. There is nothing aside from ones self stopping folks from running wide if they're stuck on the outside to maintain position.

I stayed inside the boundaries for both races...but looking in my rearview I saw a few drivers who were not. I agree though, penalties should be on for that track...and drivers on the inside should hold their line so they don't side swipe the outside driver into penalty territory. I hate that track in shuffle races because no matter how clean I drive, I always get bumped into a penalty by someone that misses their brake zone.

Historic Fuji, yet another track not in this game. I think you can race it in rFactor.

Fuji was originally intended to be a NASCAR track but they lost funding halfway through construction so it was converted to a road course with only one of the high banked turns. They redesigned it and ditched the banking because it was too dangerous.

I need to make more races...Tuesdays are tough right now, since it's 'build the basement' night..ah well - I'll keep trying :)

Had fun last night! I need to keep it to 80-90% though..when I push more, I just hit walls, or run off the track. I can run balls-out for a short bit, but make stupid mistakes after a short while.

I'm not going to do this next week. And maybe not the week after that (that is my wife and kids Spring Break, not sure what is going on, yet).

We're going to run the 2004 Honda Integra Type-R tonight. No tuning, stock tires. I'll update the starting PP level in a bit. Tracks are Grand Valley Speedway, Trial Mountain reverse, and Rome reverse.

Edit: Meet in garris' lounge.

Fun racing last night. It's amazing that after 6 races, Nic and I were only 1 point apart. Every place counts. 6 was a good number on the grid. 8 would have been better but aside from the first race I didn't spend any laps away from other drivers.

Agreed. The system works well, but the better drivers are able to win in underpowered cars, just not as easily.
