I noticed something, that even though I did an oil change just before entering the room tonight I was down to 412HP by the end of the race.

Interesting since I estimated we'd only do 158mi (44 laps, 3.61mi per lap)and I thought oil change intervals were longer than that.

That's about a 3% power loss and we saw a 4.5% power loss in a 650 hp fgt over 45 laps of Spa; ended with 620hp Sounds about right.

Apologies to all,I left the room early last night.I made some mistakes regarding the calculation of the laps(somehow equated 90 mins. as 3 hours! DUUHHH!)But that is not why I left. When leaving the pits, the onus is on the driver entering the track to give way to cars that are at full speed on track. This was not done, and ended up causing me to wreck, losing my 3rd place position and causing me to lose my focus.I was done and thought it better for me to leave than to cause any more mayhem with my erratic driving.

This may have been me exiting the pits on one of my stops. I do maintain that I stayed right of the painted pit road exit line and do not recall making any contact having the inside lane (with whomever I was racing. I don't recall specifically). If this was you Raw, I'm sorry you had a rough time, but you saw my position just as well as I knew yours. If you had an off due to driving error and not contact, that's kind of on you. If there is a section of SNAIL OLR pertaining to racing competitors coming out of the pits that I goofed on, I apologize. However, I see that situation as fair play and I felt I held up my end of the deal by staying far right.

It wasn't you @Lessen.

@STEAMER62 give me some fish!

04: Pit Etiquette:

A:
When you enter the pit-lane, you're not allowed to cross the white pit-entry-line. PE-1b: When you exit the pit-lane, you're not allowed to cross the white pit-exit-line.

B:
Cars on the race track have right-of-way over cars entering the race track from the pits. You have to take care not to interfere with other drivers on the track. Swerving in front of upcoming cars to defend your position is not allowed. You have to stay on the same side of the track as the pit exit until the first corner.

C:
You're not allowed to overtake other drivers when entering the pitlane.

D:
Make sure you indicate in time that you plan on entering the pitlane to prevent any interference with other cars on the track.

@Rednose58 , @MajorBlixem , @TomMang_68 and all the Hosts and guys who made this happen, today I changed a button on my keyboard which I push sooooo hard

this was an amazing experience and for myself the 2nd endurance race I did organised by you, respect for the happening, preparation time, trying out tracks as cars, thread creation and and and and updating and and...
I had so much fun and am looking forward to the next bank holiday falling on a SNAIL Sunday race
On another side I cannot accept @DesertPenguin09 's aprupt leaving of the race and especially - this is the main point concerning myself - @MajorBlixem was propulsed some moments after this, a true SNAILER and I know that, prepared to archieve a good result and being in a good position, ahh Major, soo sorry for that...additionally to that you, DP, post such a cr:censored:ap post of boring or something similar...for your information Bishop and myself were lapped 1x, Killer 3x, Dynamo 5x but everybody raced till the end because we all subscribed to a 90' race, and had fun showed comraderie, respect, SNAIL spirit and this shows something like being mature, adult and I personally think in this point you have a looooong way to go, a huge endurance personal race........no funny pic this time but a sincere statement DP
cheers STEAMER62

Thanks for clarifying @Raw10_2u although my interest has been peaked concerning my re-entry after said pitstop. I wish I could review, oh well.

That's one thing I don't like about GT6's auto-drive pit stop model. Upon pit exit, it accelerates your car far too long and 'throws' you onto the racing line. The auto-drive should release control to the player at the end of pit lane where the white line goes across the pit exit at the end of the pit wall. Let the player have control for easing back into traffic.

I like that you had fun. I had fun too. That's all.

Random unrelated note: My mustache is getting long enough to twirl. Does anyone do this and have some good suggestions for mustache wax?

Ok, lots of competition in 3rd room for the front and deeper in the field. My total race time was 1:30:39.8xx.

As for pit exit etiquette @Raw10_2u nobody came within 5-6 car lengths, or ever crossed the white pit exit line in front of you from my replay. Send a pm to that driver and exexplain.

Btw what were you doing to get back on track without interfering?

Apologies for not making it last night after putting my name in the hat. An unusually normal sleep pattern meant I didn't wake up in time to race. Was looking forward to it! :grumpy:

Thanks for your efforts all the same @Rednose58 & @MajorBlixem
hahaha @turnupdaheat , happened to me twice and I woke up in catastroph but succeeded in managing the races, but not so fresh as scheduled, there I missed my bucket of coffee and my banana, but coming up to 2nd combo I was awake, HAT OF FOR THE RED EYED RACERS loool, cheers JC

On that note - do you have an idea of when the next endurance will happen? Lol
We usually do it on the off Sundays when there are no league racing. For example this year's races were on Memorial Day and Labor Day. We might have to wait a while for the next race

We can do something on any given Tuesday, given that the SNAIL series on Tuesdays is in Project Cars on PS4

An endurance race with variable weather would be interesting. Even just plain racing in the rain is cool. I've enjoyed a few races in the current seasonal rain event.
