@SAMHAIN85
Ran 11:30 pm Thursday (after we did 3 races). Here are my times. I’m capable to turn good fast laps but not consistent at all.

Ran Friday after warming up. Here are those times. Can’t believe I turned laps 6&7 but then put myself into 1st turn wall on lap8. I’ll have to be more reserved on race night.

Out of curiosity, I tried 96%, 104%, SM also. Drove 2:30.0 mostly with a 2:28.6 best.
I’ll look at the spreadsheet in case you change something with my settings.

Hope it’s not too late to submit a livery pic, because I’ve got something in the works. Should get it done after Sunday Spec Racing, specially built for Survivor Series.

I am interested in joining and was monitoring thread until holiday time off last week. Then focused on Sunday night combo practice. Am I too late for entry? Clearly not able to participate in a lobby so I did some laps in TT mode. Don't know if that quantifiably affects my times in some way?

Edit: Stock new car, 100% power, SS tires

Tagged the wall on exit of last turn lap 5. ;-( I'll continue to practice this week for more consistency.

And a slightly combative livery for the event.

@Bologna_Duc Welcome - no you're not too late.

We run practice/time trials in online lobbies because the tire physics/laptimes can be different than single player time trial mode. I'll add you to the spreadsheet later today. Keep everything stock like you have it but next time run it online.

I'll have a practice lobby open later this afternoon. We only have 4 days left to get everyone dialed in. I'd like to be close to having everyone tuned properly by Wednesday (which is also the deadline to join)

I'll have a lobby up today around 7:30PM EST. It'll be a combination of running solo laps to figure out laptimes you're running, and some mock races. We've had some pretty fun practice races so far.

I know there is Endurance practice tonight so I want to get the room open well before that starts.

And since the shifter can be used with the SF-R, we will be doing rolling starts in Event #2 to negate any sort outside advantages at the start of each heat. Other than that, the shifter has no advantage. It may be 'faster' to use, but your specs will be adjusted to compensate. So make sure whatever you use now is what you'll be using race night. Otherwise its all for naught.

See you guys tonight

Here is the link to the data sheet.
The settings on the lowest line indicates the current specs you should be using.

Remember to test in an online lobby. Refer to this post for lobby settings. Depending on your specs your car may change class (N300-N400)

I'll have another practice lobby open tonight right around the end of the Endurance race. (10:15PM EST)

I'll also come up with a detailed post about sharing a picture of your livery in-game. By Thursday I should have a 'spotters guide' made, although I'm not very good at graphics design. So if anyone is good at that stuff let me know.

I think I should put into place some ground rules since "a target time of 2:28.000" is kind of vague.

In a perfect world everyone runs a 28 flat lap after lap by themselves. Since the track is so long, its hard to hit a 28.00 consistently over and over. Some laps you could be high mid to high 27s, others mid to high 28s.

So as you're testing (running with 100% effort), if you ace everything and get a laptime between 2:27.500-2:28.000, then you're ok. There has to be some wiggle room, but thats not a lap you can run easily lap after lap. Thats a lap where you nailed every single turn and sector and it will be difficult for you to duplicate again and again.

This is why its important we work out everyones specs now. This also doesnt mean you can intentionally slow down before the finish line to not go under 2:27.500. Sandbaggers need not apply to this event. Just man up and be honest that you are simply too quick with your setup.

Your average lap should be 2:28.000. Or a 2:27.900 - 2:28.100. Again, we need some wiggle room. This is a lap that you would still consider not only good, but 'great'. But not 100% perfect. You shouldnt be hitting a 28.00 by just pussyfooting it around the circuit.

So if any of your (solo) fastest laps are sub 2:27.500 you need to be de-tuned. Decrease HP 1% and increase weight 1% and try again.

Its not easy getting 20+ drivers of all different skill levels to run nearly identical laps. But with enough practice, tweaking and honesty, I think we'll get it pretty close. And so far we have.

@Bologna_Duc can you tell me the specs/lap times you last ran with? I forgot to record it on the sheet last night. If you dont remember I'll just find it on the livestream from last night. But your specs should still be saved when you hop in your car next time.

I can definitly make the lobby at 10:15pm EST today. That would be great. I did run some laps this morning in a lobby with the settings as defined. My best lap was 2:26:XXX (I think, cant remember) so I may need some fine tuning. I will try detuning myself prior to joining the practice lobby at 10:15, in my own separate lobby after 9:00pm EST. Looks like you have given me the specs of 108% and 96%. I will work with those tonight.

FYI endurance race starts around 9:10 EST and runs for 90 minutes. You could probably have the other lobby open around 10:45 EST

Well it took me some practice and I was able to get a solid lap in, but still couldn't put together more than a few good laps......Oh well somebody has to go out first right, Lol :dopey:
