So frustrating

I’m concerned about my own driving but when in 2nd place and a driver like this catches me there’s a problem ! So yea it’s not the replay it’s the driver thanks !

I don't see anything of concern. The driver does a 2:06, so is capable of lapping reasonably quickly. With your average lap time being 2:11.8, that driver is capable of running up to 5 seconds per lap quicker. So a few crashes here or there is going to make him slower than his ultimate lap time, but still faster than you.

Considering the best times I saw at Bathurst were a 2:02.xxx, having driving aids on and still running that pace isn't concerning. It would be more concerning if the best drivers were running 2:02's and someone driving like that with aids were running 2:01's or better.

Another thread from someone who thinks they are faster than they really are, and has to find other reasons for another driver running faster laps than they do.

Where is the video of your laps?

If you can't go faster than the guy in the video, and you're using a wheel, you need to work on your speed. You should be able to slaughter someone like that with s wheel.

Don't look for excuses... go faster.

I see the video of green Porsche at Nurb , in my opinion in not a PROBLEM of drive with whell or pad but is a question of visual ...!! All forget that the driver can choise the visual , is evidente the " bad boy " in Porsche drive Crazy mode but he control good the situation .. What ' s the method ?? ( it s not the mine but ) he drive with visual of REAR car so he have with pad on nurburgring an advantage ( he play in arcade mode ) , he see the track with a large periferic visual and can drive a time lire a " need of speed GAME " with pad , a time he fun with only 3 Tyres on track ( observe it ) this mode is evident the u drive the car by REAR visual.
He is most Fast and know vero well the track but he take the line in easy mode chiosino REAR visual .in effetti we pro driver drive with the front ( bump visual or hood ) with limited charging of pièce of track , using REAR visual If possibile take the corner in mode different ( GREAT difference ..) i try it ..is real ...is possibile decelerate in perfette mode and fun the corner with most medium speed with exit at high acceleration.

After most of perplesso forget what the GAME is most competitive , milion of player rum , so the driver not apre noob but a time most Fast and consistent ( i talk ..i played 1000 Hours gt5 but on GTSports we have an most higher levell of driver , also in sport mode all have car pre -setted and ability to tune no need .., a kid of 12/13 with good training must be most Fast in this condition ( pad only ) .

While on replays, the only smooth driving you'll see if your own. I think the replay only saves a limited set of input data for all the other cars, making them look twitchy when they're not. If you watch the same replay but saved by that particular player (on the green Porsche) you'll see it as it is, smoother. On the other hand, your car on his replay won't look as smooth, but probably a bit twitchy too.

This is what I've noticed watching my own car on other people's replays and comparing it to my own replay.

I'm sure I wasn't the only one noticing it.

Having said that, a pad user will probably intensify this effect.

Thats true. I noticed this in GT5 and GT6 replays too. The record of everyone else but you isnt 100% clean. Thats why the opponents in replays always look shaky.
Furthermore, i think the guy used steering with digipad. I use it too, that makes car movement look even more unnatural.

When I qualify I try doing as many laps as possible to get what gear on what bend to a tee. How come in qualifying the cars hold the road, take the bends, then come the race I do exactly what I did in qualifying and the car slides on the bends I hit a wall or accidentally take out another unsuspecting car, get a penalty and SR may go down. Why is there such a difference between car physics in qualifying and a race? Surely it can’t be cold tyres as they must be cold on the first lap of qualifying. Any help to become better and not always be last is appreciated.

This question hasn’t been answered yet because there’s no info from PD.

Things it could be :
1) tyre temp
2) fuel load
3) bug
4) some artificial change for quali so it reflects real world better (Q is normally faster than race)
5) some different track or environment condition

Anyway I don’t think anybody has definitely explained this. My guess is PD artificially set the Q tyres to optimum temp and maybe model only 1 lap of fuel weight and this is reset for every Q lap.
