So, how was your day?

The kind of day that makes me want to hide from every person on the planet. Must have been National Be A Dick Day or something, wow. Does this happen to anyone else? I'll honk my horn at some prick who cuts me off in traffic almost causing an accident, and instead of throwing up a wave to apologize they flip out and either start a brake test war, a shouting match, or some other fight. This happens every single time. I just get ready for a road battle anytime I honk at some moron anymore, even if they know they're blatantly in the wrong. I feel like I've never, ever seem this happen to anyone else. The guy today who wanted to fight found out real quick how bad of a mood I was already in when he realized in his brake test war that I not only wasn't going to stop, but had nailed the throttle. Let's see, a 6,000 lbs truck against a cavalier, yeah, he nailed the gas real quick.

Pretty decent. Got up early for a swim, as I'm making an effort to get fit at the moment, for various reasons. A mile alternating front crawl then breaststroke was hard as I haven't swam in almost 7 months, but I'll be at it everyday until I can do solid front crawl.

Cleaned my bike up, fixed some gear issues, then did a 60km ride at 25kph on what is ridiculously rolling terrain, which felt pretty good after the swim. Rough idea of the route, without it start/finishing at my house.

Get up and do the same tomorrow, but swap the cycle for a run, because I'm crazy

I could do that swim easy. With a boat.

And that ride/run? Piece of cake.

With a car :)

As you can see, you're more active than me ;)

Haha, there are those options, but I'm training, I don't normally bother going crazy to get fit! Plus I love exercise, which makes it easier.

Well, I'm not one for excessive exercise either. Mainly because I have a bad attitude to it.

Your attitude is good. I like it :)

Pretty meh. Awaiting for a response from any of the companies I've e-mailed... I'm totally leaving my current job unless I receive a little bit more green (not going to resign but I'll abandon my current job if things don't get better)... I haven't been comfortable here since the recent events and the fact that some of the guys on the "lower" ranks are earning more money than me...

Hope your hunt goes well, mate :)

(Technically, it was yesterday, as it's 0.43 right now...).

I went shooting today (yesterday)... Long story, but I somehow managed to hold the shotgun wrong and then ended up with a bruise, about the size of an (US) 50¢-coin :indiff:...

You are supposed to plant the gun firmly into your shoulder. When you shoot, make sure you have a really tight grip on that gun, that's what will stop it from bruising you.

Yeah, I learned that too late ... Since it was my first time (ever) shooting, I did expect to get some bruises.

I'll never forget my first shotgun lol. In fact I hated the recoil to the point I refused to pick one up since I was 11 up until least year or so. Hell I even hated my 4/10

Today was awful. Woke up super early because some dick head was making so much noise. Than delt with idiots the whole day and finished the day with more idiots. Only good thing was i finished a project I was working on the past few days.

Was in biochem class. Professor was going over a quick energy and thermodynamics review to prepare us for the coming semester. Mentioned gasoline having more energy than ethanol.

Immediately, some kid goes, "Wait, how can you say gasoline has more energy than ethanol? E85 has more energy than octane."
I'm looking at my professor like

He says, "I can assure you, gasoline has more energy than ethanol."
Kid says, "But E85 has more energy-- I see it all the time on the dyno!"

Lost my phone. Broke my guitar. Had some other stuff stolen. That's about $500 in one day. Needless to say, I'm having a bad day.:grumpy:

We have a massive fuel Crysis here in Egypt ,where lines for fuel would make you wait atleast 5 hours in queue,I am ashamed to say this but me and a group sort of finished in half an hour which as you can probably tell means we bribed some people at the Petrol Station,it is a pretty awfull thing to do I admit but the Car was running on fumes and during these times we badly need the car :(

@sems4arsenal & custom878:

So sad to read that boys :nervous: I hope for the best for you two!!!

As for me, it's been a very, very boring day... still waiting for a call... job sucks, and my best friend's grandfather is at the hospital...

Not exactly a great day overall... :ill:

I hope prices don't shoot through the roof for you guys. I can't imagine having to wait that long for gas.

They are supported (don't know the proper word) by the government so prices are Fixed but the queues are unbelievable due to shortage and expected trouble on the 30th,I'll try to get pictures to show you :D

But thanks for your kind words guys

Today started ugly.

Not for me, but for a co-worker. She got totally destroyed in an argument by some of the salesmen for our dealer. She even cried a little bit. It was like throwing a mouse on a cobra pit... very cruel... I feel very bad for her...

:nervous:

It is... everybody is a two-face here, or at least most of the people here...

There is something in this office-atmosphere that, at least here, makes people go crazy... :ill: and like I said once, it's starting to make effect on me, and I don't want that... That's why I'm looking for a new job already... Part of the reason is the atmosphere, the other is money. But frankly, I'd rather be on a healthy enviorement than get more money and stay here...

All of this makes me miss a lot back when I was doing my community service on CFE, Mexico's state-owned electric company. Especifically, I was on the Engineering Area... Thermo-Electric Project Division... almost everybody on our floor being engineers, including me...

I'm definitely going to try to get back... once I get a little bit more experience...
