The horrendously broken, clearly unfinished, barely functional as a result multiplayer lobbies. Unfortunately that's not a poll option.

I'm part of a club that meets up weekly to race and discuss a chosen car. We've made the decision to stick to GTS because of the sorry state of the lobbies in GT7, among the myriad of other issues.

Please, just actually read something for once instead of dismissing it because you don't like it.
Start here, it'll help.
Yeah, all I see is kids don't get all the best cars they want right at the start (its not even 3 weeks since the game launched). Because the world is in rush in every aspect of it and earning less than before is evil and you have to rebel, right?

Kaz told us there will be more content. Nobody forcing you to buy credits. Wait for the updates and just cruise Nordschleife while listening Spotify in a mediocre car. For example the 2020 Honda Civic Type-R Limited Edition (cheap car) with some modifications feels amazing to drive. Or you only accept a 20 million worth car right at the start or you throw a tantrum?! Ridiculous!

Now that's a fun sounding, £70 game right there. Worthy of anyone's money... 🙃

The numbers. Look at them.

Actually, the most frustrating aspect of GT7 is the actual driving physics being pretty good, there's a depth there that is only present in sims like AC etc, which is jarring when the actual game is so trite, aimless and empty.

I gotta say the never ending whining about people not exclusively praising the game is quite frustrating. But then there's also the constant whining that some mythical person out there "wants everything immediately". Still waiting to see that one.

I agree. The game gives people who enjoy cars an amazing platform to drive and race wherever they want with great physics, graphics and weather/time of day. People really do feel like they need to blast through the content without making it a challenge for themselves, and it seems like a lot of people aren't using the tools available to enjoy the game while new career content is being prepared.
There really is a game to be enjoyed even after you've finished the cafe.

I really want the Sauber C9, it costs 3 million credits, which is peanuts compared to cars like the McLaren F1 or Ford GT40.

The only option left is to grind with the Tomahawk Daytona. (first race of the Pan America Championship).

Should I grind 24/7 just to drive a car in a game I paid $100 for? It's just frustrating how Brain AFK grinding is.

The incentive to drive championships is completely missing, since the time/credits ratio is absolutely wrong.

And then you get trolled by roulette every day.

It would be so awesome if, like in the past, you could drive championships as often as you like, win cars and simply sell duplicates.

Luckily I bought the DD Pro especially for GT7, my god, I could throw up.

It's a time gate, not a challenge.

What tools are available to buy the expensive cars I'd like to enjoy? Other than MTX, of course.

If it's just a time gate, why do you want more events? You just want a more efficient grind event.

You've just shown it's you by asking for tools to get you the most expensive content quicker.

I want more events that pay better. More variety, less artificial time gating.

Less than 5-10 years is not "immediately".

If you know we are getting free updates, then I don't see what your problem is. It's very likely that those events will pay higher.
If that's your time scale, come back in 5 years and if you don't have the McLaren F1, I'll be happy to agree with you.

GT Sport had 168 (I think) cars added for free. I think that's some kind of proof that we will get content.
The games been out three weeks, there are clearly problems and bugs that need addressing before they start updating the game with content. I, and I'm sure some others can appreciate that.

They really should communicate more about what's going on. It'd probably calm some nerves.

The fact that games from 20 years ago already had plenty of events and a good enough balance on release. PD gave us barely anything and then nerfed the rewards...
It's very likely that those events will pay higher.
...which is why I don't believe this. Maybe a bit higher, but still not enough. It's not like they've told us their actual plans. Kaz simply said he can't tell us right now. Which leads me to believe it's going to be a while before we even do get anything, because it sounds like they'd tell us at least a week in advance that we'd get new content?

No doubt we will, but it doesn't really excuse the lack of content on release, when the only main game in the series to have less races is GT1. What a 25th anniversary celebration, we've gone back to the low number of races from 25 years ago.

No doubt, but it seems PD aren't very good at communication.

I wonder. When we will see somekind of response/reaction to what is happening. I am pretty confident that PD will eventually listen to community and repair broken economy. This happened a lot of times in industry and most of the time it was actually improved after a backlash. I really hope that we will see some big update in early april with new content and fixed payouts.

Well basically all of those things, but ranked based on how much it bothers me:
  1. Lack of events in career mode/single player
  2. In game economy designed to screw you.
  3. Even if you have the money you can’t buy a car you want because of used/legendary car mechanic.
  4. Cars, Engine swaps and special parts being given out by a system designed to screw you.
  5. Deceptive marketing and review manipulation
  6. PD’s snobbish middle finger of a response to the justifiable backlash
  7. Poor implementation of multiplayer
Some of these are related too, for example the lack of events and bad economy reinforce each others negative effects.

I think they'll respond by the absolute minimum of backpedaling, mostly words rather than deeds, which will send the shills into a frenzy screaming: "ALL HATERS WERE WRONG REEEEEEEEE" But fundamentally the game will remain a far cry from what it should be, and fizzle out, player count dwindling, future updates and events cancelled...

I wish I was wrong but this is my prediction.

If there’s anything that’s been somewhat frustrating me thus far as much as I love the game it’s probably the “chase the rabbit” races.

I don’t mind rolling starts or even starting at the back as it’s more fun coming through, but it’s a little extreme when you’re just crossing the start/finish line and the leader’s like 40-50 seconds down the road and you only have have a couple laps to get there. I mean I wouldn’t consider myself an ace sim racer or anything, but it’s more of a time constraint thing than skill.

Usually it’s either I have to have a car that’s too OP or dropping the difficulty down to beginner just so I have enough time to even have a chance. It desperately needs work and looks ridiculous IMO.

To me is the lack of content, compared to older GT's. Kaz said that it will be updated in the future, and unfortunately that is how gaming idustry is nowdays. They launch unfinished games, and have the convenience to update it whenever they want. It is a good thing when used properly, but usually that's not the case.

The game just feels like it's missing lot of stuff, at the moment the Super license is useless, the Café books stops at Gr.3, there is no Gr.2/Gr.1 Race events or championships and no classic cars events.

I think most of the above. I don't do multiplayer and time frame for when cars appear doesn't bother as much becuase that has been in most GT games. Don't get me wrong I enjoy it but there are a lot of things I don't like about the game

For me, I feel like it’s the omission of certain cars, tracks, and engine swaps - but I could’ve sworn I heard that more of these were coming in updates.

EDIT: More center-lock wheel designs would be nice, too.
