The performance in PS4, I just quit a race in the ring because is horrible, is imposible to drive this way, massive sttutter and framerate below 30fps
Same here, even stuff like single player race yesterday at Spa with no rain, I have massive framerate drops at turn 10-12 (rivage, etc...) at each lap ! I guess I have to look for a PS5 some day :nervous:

I think the fact the Multiplayer has not evolved since Sport is a big joke. Forza games would have bespoke track rotation lobbies, A, B, C class lobbies with track rotation.

How is GT still doing this feeble attempt at Sport mode?

I haven't played the latest forza but from what I've seen it's wrekcfest style lobbies compared to Sport mode.

Would take a weekly rotation with far cleaner lobbies than a wreckfest rotation style any day.

That's only my opinion of course.

Thats more the nature of Forza Motorsports lack of driver rating, nor mid-race penalty system, and its easy availability thanks to Game Pass.

That doesn't excuse PD's poor offering of online content, its lazy.

It used to be the economy, but now that selling cars will be a thing soon and payouts are getting boosted, my main gripe is lack of content. There's enough cars and tracks for me to enjoy for now, but there isn't enough championships or one-off events that keep me interested. Some of the Missions are neat, however. I'm holding off on the WTC Gr.3 Championship for now until more menu books come out. The recent announcement of Endurance races making a return has me pretty excited though.

Not only has it not evolved since Sport, it’s become worse.

I can now not have fun together with my brother online. We can go to the same server, make our own - we don’t see each others’ cars. Sometimes one of us sees the other, but never at the same time.

I know exactly the network setups for both of us, those are known-good (all hardwired, too).

I could agree with some of those, although i think PDs response is ok, i hope they keep fixing everything.
For me personally its: Rain. I would like races where you can check weatherconditions before hand aka: Rain race. Sunny race, etc.
The problem is during rain the AI is unbeatable and while dynmaic weather is cool once or twice its not racing.
I want to race on dry tarmac. At least give me the ability to avoid rain races and opt for dry ones.
Also on the Ps4 it gets pretty choppy during rain races so together with the super AI its basically unplayable.. sigh
I want to love this game. But i cant.

I'm actually so done with the Cafe mode, I got to the Trial Mountain championship and I haven't picked it up since. I'm playing car Pokemon, no GT7.

I'd like to add one. The dynamic weather system. It would be great to have this in endurance races but going from a dry track to a wet one and then back to a dry track in the span of a 10-20 minutes race is just dumb. It is entirely unrealistic the way it is implemented and ruins many races. It also makes grinding even more of a pain. Give us the option to turn it off.

I think the live service is starting to get frustrating too for me. Especially after seeing some of the player's progress got bugged after their connection dropped.

The single most annoying aspect is, when you go into your garage and select "Change car", select the car to change into, that a message pops up to tell you that you changed your car, and you have to click that away.

That, and the fact that roulette tickets give you tuning parts that you don't wanted for cars you don't have.

For me it’s that I can’t get to certain cars because the way used/legendary cars are handled, the grind might be more bearable if I could have access to cars I wanted. Right now me playing GT7 is, turn on game, grind a couple races, use roulette ticket, check used cars, check legendary cars, be disappointed, turn game off. About 15-20 minutes of play a day from a $90 game that’s only a couple weeks old, shameful.

Let's be honest this game is AMAZING....but.....could be so much better!

Keep multilayer if you like to create your own lobby for a group of friends but a MUST an absolute MUST for the next update.....MORE RACES IN SPORTS MODE!!
If there was 8-10 races that constantly changed on a weekly basis 8-10 different tracks means you can use a lot more cars that are assigned to those specific races. 3 at the moment isn't enough for multiplayer.................imagine a race on this AMAZING game at Daytona with 34-40 cars racing over 30-45 laps.

All the gross FOMO tactics and horrible economy would be more tolerable if there were at least hundreds of races to do. The lack of content is killing the game for me and that isn’t going to change with what they said the “beginning of April” update will be.

I think the ingame rewards need a boost, but even after that will be fixed, the main problem is the lack of races we can do. More good content means less grind.

Lack of content and poor multiplayer, but specially lack of content.

In multiplayer, I guess PD wants to force us to race Sport mode only, despite of easily setting race lobbies with our friends. And now it seems that Daily Races selection is even more erratic. No car provided in the supposedly more accessible Race A and both Race B and Race C are Gr. 3 cars with tire wear and fuel usage management elements.

In single career mode, there isn't really much to do after finishing Cafe Menus, Licences and Missions. Specially being expected to buy cars to meet requirements in Daily Races.

Add to that the terrible mechanic of Used Car Dealership. Of course the rotation system is a clear miss, watching paint dry is faster and more exciting. Add to that more than half the cars available in UCD can be easily won on Café Menus, so no one buys them, they don't sell out, don't rotate. Also some of the cars are available in brand dealership new, with a selling price that is only fractionally higher (10%ish) compared to cars with 30k or 40k miles. So, considering cars that you don't need to buy, add the cars that isn't real a good deal (for me, had to buy a Ferrari to Ferrari Circuit Challenge, as the 308 GTB I won in Menu 36 would work for me, a F430 was almost the same price used and new...), at some point the UCD will be only cars no one buys with barely no rotation. At least, by the principals implemented to Legendary Cars, the cars on UCD should decrease price through time, basic supply and demand principle.

I'm surprised that The Review Manipulation option has received so few votes.

If a significant amount of reviewers and gaming publications had more integrity, it would curb many of the items listed on the poll. If GT7 received a 5/10 review before launch, it would have hit PD/Sony where it matters most... Their bank accounts.

Now they have the money of early adopters and face far less pressure to change their manipulative tactics.

Really none of these things bothers me. I like driving cars not necessarily collecting them. And I like designing liveries and paint schemes and racing against my wife.
I did like the roulette in sport where you got a car everytime but never knew which one, but honestly I never actually drove most of those cars anyways so it was just a moot point really.
Even now in 7 I have way more cars than I want and there's not really one I want that I can't just buy. It will be nice once they can be sold.
As for reviews they don't matter at all to me. I buy the games I want to buy not the ones other people want to buy necessarily. If I want a game and it has 0 : 100, I buy it.
I don't think there are as many auto out there a you seem to think there are

In order:

  • Lack of post-2017 cars
  • No tracks that are new to the franchise
  • Always online
  • MTX baiting economy (inflated prices, decreased race payouts, can't sell cars, etc.)
  • Content being gated behind RNG systems (UCD, daily roulette) and/or obscene amounts of grinding

The game that reviewers reviewed is quite different to the game that the rest of us got. It's not the reviewers fault that Polyphony changed a bunch of stuff after the review period. On the contrary, Polyphony did it that way specifically so that people like you would blame reviewers rather than the real culprit, Polyphony themselves.

Reviewers are not Time Lords, they can't see into the future. They can only review what's in front of them.

It’s scummy what PD and other companies do hiding the full scope of a MTX economy to shield review scores. Reviewers could just go back and adjust their scores though. They’re not set in concrete.

I already have the game though so prefer other major issues like economy and content are addressed.

It's a review.
Most of those who made reviews don't care about the economy of the game as they don't target to buy legendary cars, don't bother with UCD rotation and so on.

They played a handfull of the menus on cafe, a couple of licence tests and a mission (if they went through menus enough).
The only money they would spent would be to upgrade the classic Mini for menu 6. And the tune shop will look great. They wouldn't bother they couldn't buy parts directly from the setting page...

And honestly, if you follow the cafe menu path, you don't realize most of the flaws we mention.
