Do I need to vote for what Thomas sends me or what I might want next to it at a later date? lol

Well in a span of a year, I've gotten pleasure of owning both the New Driving Force GT Steering Wheel that I bought when GT5 came out and about a month ago a got my hands on the Logitech G27 wheel, which both are great wheels for GT5 but if you more advance I say go with the G27 cause you can also mess around with Shifter that make it a complete different way of playing the game altogether, But back to survey and reason why I'm interested in this is because I also bought Forza 4 and looking into which steering wheel to get for it, So my vote is gonna be for the CSR Elite Wheel

Sounds like a good choice. You could even sell all your logitechs and get the upcoming Clubsport shifter when it eventually surfaces!

Just got a T500RS, upgrading from a G27, but if I were going to get one of those I would wait for the CSW. Looks sick.

Elite for me. It's xbox support I want.
If not I would have got the T500 over the GT2.

Voted for the CSR Elite (which i preordered), but i'm missing the option both CSR Elite and CSW

ATM there are no votes for the CSR... interesting.

I am not surprised to be honest. Due to the old design of the wheel apart from the rim attached many might think it's not a big enough upgrade for their current wheel, while on the other hand the completely new Elite and CSW are definitely worth it. Hence no votes for the CSR so far I reckon.

Still i have had a CSR for a couple of weeks and it's a great wheel.

Would recomment it to anyone who doesn't have the budget for the 'real' stuff.

Don't be down about it, you own a damn fine mid range wheel. (with improved shifters to boot).

I agree, the CSR from what I hear is a very fine piece of kit to have. Besides, not everyone is nuts enough to put down 500 or more euros for a wheel with some nice pedals and shifter(s).

T500 rs does not count?

I think amf7 was going all CSW/Fanatec nutty in his head after he saw the pics of the wheels in the other thread. I believe a poll can't be changed when started either (unless you're a mod/admin).

So yeah, of course the T500 RS counts. Even if you like to play with the MS speed wheel it should could. Well, in my opinion.

Why clubsport wheel can't be supported by xbox360?
Only supported by ps3 and pc?
I had owned G27 and T500RS, if clubsport wheel system didn't support x box360, I actually had no motivation to buy it. So please, support it.

CSR Elite is not good enough for fans like me.

And the shifter of the fanatec is not good enough too. Should have a better comparatable one.

In short, its a microsoft thing. If fanatec could gave made on wheel (to rule them all) I am sure they would have.

My question to you is why the elite is not good enough?

So is the CSR just a GT2?

When the GT2 came out (before the T500RS) It was probably the best wheel on the market for <$1000.

Limitations from Microsoft's Xbox system. It doesn't allow the quick release system and only as much buttons as there are on a controller if I am correct. Why the shifters aren't adjustable is a choice I don't know the reason of. The shifters on the Elite and CSR are a huge improvement over the Porsche wheels. They feel equal or maybe even better then a G25/G27 set of shifter paddles.
So yeah, in short the ClubSport Wheel will never be compatible with the xbox because of hard- or software limitations of the console itself.
The base of the elite is the same as of the CSW though, so expected the same amount of fun from its FFB system. It's just that the rim is different, but there will be different rims available in the future although the amount is less then with the CSW.
So until a better solution comes available which will be for a long while unless Logitech pulls a random rabbit out of the hat next year, you will have to do with the Elite as the best wheel you can get for a while for the Xbox. It's just up to you to decide if you want to stick with whatever you have or buy a Elite until something better comes and then sell it and buy the better wheel.

About that last part. Time flies and we move on to better equipment. That's how it goes. I mean DVD was the best until blu-ray came along. Old CRT monitors were best until LCD came along. Etc...

The CSR is better then the GT2 from what I hear from different folk here who either have/had both or reviewed them. It has new and improved electronics for better FFB, the motors are tweaked some more and the shifters feel better then on the GT2 (more G25/27 quality or better).
That's all I remember as I haven't really been interested in that particular wheel myself :dopey:
Hope this answers the question a bit.

The reason there is no t500 or other wheels as I said upcoming wheels/newly released

Doh! I never read that part. I thought (early this morning before going to bed) which wheel I want more right now. Sorry for causing confusion.

CSR Elite

I beleive the CSW is overkill for the PS3 or console only type player.
A CSRE with future rim choices would please me enough.

Although the CSW personally I think is nicer looking.

I think I can agree with you there since the base is the same. If you are a pure console racer then I wouldn't take anything beyond an Elite either. Most of the features of the CSW are going to be PC only, unless Kaz is going to officially support them. Which is not likely I think. Plus it is even less likely that either Electronic Arts or Codemasters is going to add support to their NFS, Dirt and F1 games.
So yeah, if a console nut then an Elite.
