If you can get past ia10 with all golds you are good to go. The S license tests are pretty tame compared to the 1 lap magics even though all the S licenses are 1 lap of passing cars. The biggest thing to remember is just be patient and smooth.

Yes, I did a little dance after golding ia-10 and ic3 with the dualshock.
But I've heard that s4 and s8 are also problematic..
 
I have the first 40 gold licenses, but then I tried entering the IA licences and I noticed I was only at lvl 11! Doh, I'll need to get my butt in gear and win some races or complete the special events quickly.

So far, IC-10 and IB-3 were making me almost break and come to the conclusion that it was impossible, but with plently of practice and patience it paid off!
 
I managed to hit all golds today :-)

I was surprised to see that ASM is fixed to "on" with the S licences, which I managed to gold without too much trouble. Took me a few more attempts to complete on tracks that I'm not too familiar with.

These tests I found easier to complete than in previous GT titles. It could well be a combination of using a wheel now and having had much more RL and virtual track time, but overall passing these tests with higher marks took a shorter amount of time for me.

For anyone just starting out with GT5, I would recommend doing these tests before anything else in GT Life: the tests give you a good feel for how the game drives, and also provides some vehicles as rewards that would be useful to you in GT Life (vehicles that I would not have otherwise needed to purchase).

Overall, I've enjoyed the licence tests :-)

I'm not doing bad at all i think but I have always hated the fact that with some licenses Since GT4 I seem to come .5 away from getting gold knowing that I have gotten gold and have crossed the line ahead of my ghost car thus improving on my time, but the game has other ideas about you progressing with that Gold cup. Sometimes what I do is leave it for another day and go back to it and I usually get the Gold I wanted and have dont that successfully.

33 Golds 16 silvers and 1 bronze.......but dont like bronze medals because they look like copper and just plain tacky, so I strive for the most Golds and the least Silvers.

The best advice I can give is to adjust the traction control for those of you using a game pad and be smooth but agressive on some tests and if you get fustrated leave it and go back to it later.

(Congradulation to all the 60 Gold people), No doubt, This is exactly what I find aswell. It is so frustrating to know you are doing better than previous attempts but the (Handy Capping) is driving me nuts. So far I have B all Gold and A I like 3 with rest Silver, I forget the next one is but got only a couple of Golds mixed in with Silvers and Bronze. I have a hard time staying focused thoe when the Handy Capping crap starts. I still love GT5 thoe and will just have to get over it. LOL's. I have the most trouble with the Solumns and the braking Test.

I used Stunes video to try and establish where I need to be overtaking certain cars. Ideally you want to have overtaken all but the front two cars (Ferrari and GTR) before the hair pin corner. I overtook the Ferrari and GTR on the last corner two corners before the finish where as Stune was much quicker and overtook much earlier.

You also want to try and keep as much momentum as possible through the corners so that you don't shift down into 2nd (it's a really crappy gear in the Alfa).

You need to get in front of the XJ220 before the last S-turn. Then pass the next two cars on the following hairpin, and the last two on the next hairpin. VERY difficult indeed.
 
Finally got to sit down and play straight through yesterday and today... Just got this 30 mins ago. :)

59 gold and I´m sick of ib3... hate those fing slalom ish... missed it with 0,004 :ouch:

Will try it tomorrow...

S-License was easier then most other licenses? Did gold on most test within 1-2 trys...

Got as far as I could with just Licenses and Special events, couldnt finish the events as the last one is the AMG final at level 24 :/

It was a pain for me too. I did all tests with a DS3. Hers how I did S-8..

First corner, you want to brake lateish, overtake the Zonda on the outside, cut in and take the R8 and Aston on the inside.You will rub up against them so try to use the rumble strip as much as you can. At the next corner I found I would lose precious ground taking the Maserati on the outside, like on the vid mentioned in an earlier post so again, take the inside line and power out.Hopefully you should have enough speed to overtake the ferrari and the lambo by the bottom of the long left hander which puts you behing thr jag. it will leave you for dust, so as it slows for the 90 degree right, cut the corner, and on the next corner brake late and go inside of the spyker, using to get round if need be. Before the hairpin, sty on the right side of the track and brake early riding the kerb as you do. Power out and follow the GTR and keep on its tail as it will pass the california. after that, its a breeze. hope this helps....

Im not sure how many races are in the last amg event but If I could do that I would be at least level 22 maybe 23?

Finally got gold on S-8 after what seemed like forever. I now officially hate Suzuka and the Rome track. I'm hoping S-9 and S-10 are much easier than S-8.
