So, who's got all 60 Golds in their licence tests yet?

The only one I cannot gold is IB3, the cones slolam. Any tips?

i can only say, practice makes perfect. so if you cant get a gold.. you need more practice also watching the example replay of the AI driving is very useful. i only watched it once on ib-3 obviously, watch carefully how the car turns and the speed. if you go faster than the speed the Ai is driving your more likely to skid off. i managed to get gold on the rest without watching the example replay but if your stuck, it can be useful :)

Add me to the list :-) All 60 golds done for me too. I finished a couple days ago but haven't had time to post a pic until now. I've played all GT games but this is the first I've got a gold on all licenses. I did it mainly because I just got a G25 and wanted to learn as it was my first wheel ever used.

Can I join the club? :D (sorry for blurry pic - I only have a crappy cellphone camera)

Somehow getting all golds in GT5 is so much easier than the previous games. I remember spending almost a year in GT1 & GT2, and about a month on GTPSP. Here it only took me only 5 days (and not even full time playing). I suspect the wheel helps because you can be a lot more consistent and make tiny adjustments, but it still feels a tad too easy. Why they lock SRF to ON is beyond me as well; they should've had 2 sets of times for SRF ON & OFF.

Now, back to that pesky Alfa 8C @ Eiger

I don't have any bronze medals if that counts, but i have a majority of silver ones. I am a happy silver standard Super License holder

5 left... The slaloms, the infamous Megane/Nurburgring, NSX/Tokyo and the Z at Indianapolis will be my last ones. Not sure when I'll be in the mood for those...

I loved all the overtaking ones. Using slipstreaming, late braking, brown nosing occasionally... Very "racy" stuff.

Practice doesn't make perfect.

Controller sucks for this trophy. This was my last gold, just cause it's stupidly insensitive. Only tip there is for doing that with a controller is to go about 70(ish) MPH, until the very last 1-2 cones. You don't need to fly any faster.

Me too, I am surprised that I still have a few of the quickest times. I normally just get gold by 1 or 2 tenths, then I move on, chuffed that I still have 3.

Until the next update...:nervous:

May I also add , licence tests that have gold/silver/bronze by placement are to be saved as replay to get the times.

The licences that need the replay for fetching times are tests 9 and 10 from B , A , IC , IB , IA. And tests 1-10 from S licence.
( IC19 , AB10 and IA10 as written below)

IC10 , IB10 and IA10 , their 2 lapper times are 1st lap time (watch the replay to get it) + replay theatre time shown for the licence replay.

Now back to IC (have alredy first 5 times done)

wow i just noticed i have the second quickest time for IB-8 the nurburgring carousel with a 16.902

also have a 14.132 for IB-5! which is the quickest.

i filled out the form do i need to provide a screencap as well?

also do i have to have all 60 to be eligable? i only have 40 so far im not high enough level to go for more yet lol.

finally! i'm in!
all gold!! (with dualshock)
from some reason i can't attach a jpg file.. for the pic?

You need to use a hosting site such as Imageshack. There is a handy imageshack upload feature when you make a post on GTP. When typing your post just scroll down to additional options and use the "browse" button to find your picture then click "host it". It will then open a new window, find the "forum thumbnal code", copy and paste that into your post.

Thanks for the tips Max, those licenses are annoying trying to get the times.

@ ragnar - to be added to the list in the first post (Stevisiov), you will need all 60 licenses and a screen cap for proof. As for the leader board, at this stage no replay required.

Here's what I just did for S-3: I went in arcade mode with the SLS at the nurburgring, and used all the driving settings for that test, like soft sports tyres and skid recovery. I was already familiar with the track on Rfactor, so I changed the brake bias to 5-front 8-rear, and did about 15 laps getting my lines and braking points right. Then for 3 laps I practiced entering each corner from the inside line to practice overtaking. I got gold after just a few attempts. :) I was about to do the same with the F40 at Tokyo for S4 before an emergency came up.

Did anyone else find the S licence surprising easy. I had no difficultly in being quick enough to catch the 1st place car. The only hard part was overtaking the slow cars if you come up behind them in the wrong place.

The test i spent most time on was the double hairpin at indy. Nightmare

You speak truth good sir. IC-3 was by far the hardest of all the tests.

I agree. On the way learning to use a wheel this test was the most time consuming one.
I must have spent over 7 hours total in the 3 sessions it took to gold it. Barely under 18.300 and it was a huge relief.

Now that I'm rerunning the licence tests for the Gold Junkies site hosted by Tosk (link in my signature) , I've beaten the gold time repeatedly with ease.

This pretty mutch proves that doing licence tests teaches one to use a wheel.

Special Licenses was so easy! But the only ones i hard a hard time was the 1000M braking challenge. OMG, took forever to clear that one. rest i finished like first tries. so strange,
