So, who's got all 60 Golds in their licence tests yet?

I'm 3 short, right now. Got within .008 on the FT-86 slalom, .003 off of Braking on the Hunaudieres Mulsanne straight, and also very close (I forget exact number) on Consecutive corner braking on snow.

Hopefully I can get them all next session.

The key point on licence test's is, do no try same thing when you try after trying, always change your tactics, try something different.

I haven't really tried. The S Liscence is the only one that I golded without many tries, which is the easiest for some odd reason, when it should be the toughest one. The other ones are just too much work.

If you can't get The Consecutive Corner Braking on snow the proper way. Just drive along the fence towards the finish line XD

I golded all the licence tests quite a while back, don't exactly remember when.

Here's a picture for proof.

I nailed them all a few months ago. Must've been the easiest of all games in the series. It's however really a bummer that they don't have any particular purpose like previously.

At this point I have 31 golds, 27 silver and 3 bronze. I had 80% silver at one point but stopped working on the licenses for a few months and came back to it and I was raking in the golds. There are still some that I have no idea how I am going to get the gold, but I'll wait a few months and go after it again. Some of the special events I was having a hard time with too, but again I waited a few months and the last 3 weeks or so I've completed most of them except for the karts (because I hate it) and the vettel challenge. I know I am going to have to drive the X2010 in practice or in other races to get better at the curves - I've only won bronze at Monza. Generally speaking I've learned that for most races and events you're better off without the assists, but for some you absolutely must have the assists on or you are going to have an extremely hard time or it's outright impossible.

I got that one, legit, today in only 4 tries.

Then I tried Mulsanne again. Got within .002 after a few tries. Hit .001 after another dozen or so, and just couldn't quite get there after that. Maybe tomorrow.

So now I have 2 left, and I have been within a hundredth of both.

I got everything gold in license while I use the DS3 with help from videos till the S license, but I can't take pic due to my phone camera is blurry.

Is IC-3 the one at Indianapolis road course, in the Nissan Z-whatever?

I got that one a while ago, but remember it being a real bitch to get.

Sorry meant IB-3. The FR Slalom challenge. The Z one was hard too though.

For those who don't remember, 26.700 is the gold time.

Ugh...how I envy you...

The only tests separating me from the honour of having 60 golds are that stupid DB9 braking test, the GT-R wet braking test, the 370Z @ Indy, and the Supra @Tsukuba...Grrr...

Compared to those even the FT86 slalom seems easy...well, not easy but...well...nevermind. That thing wasn't easy.

Here's how I did it...

Set unit reading to metric and brake when I saw 224 km/h flash on the screen. Also, from observing the ghost it appears as though your launch matters and may be a bigger factor in this challenge than it should be. I actually noticed a difference between just mashing the throttle and letting it bang off the limiter for the entire count down and hitting the throttle after the "1" but before the start. Delaying your mashing of the throttle until after the "1" seems to give you an edge.

After that it's just doing it over and over again until you get lucky. I was .016 off for a while and I just nailed it right before I posted that. What a pain this one was.

The 370Z at Indy is also quite a difficult one. I'm .026 away and can't find that list bit of time to finish it off.

*edit* got the 370Z one @ Indy. I was overdriving the car into the first hairpin. When I "slowed down" and focused more on smooth entry and maintaining corner speed instead of squaring off the corner I dropped my best by .066.

Set the brake balance to 10/10 guys. ;)
Otherwise it's a serious pain. I did it the first time stock 5/5, but it was unbelievably annoying, then for the second and third times I set BB to 10/10 and get it within 5 or 6 runs now.

gah, I wish I had that tip before I tried.... thankfully it didn't take me hours to do, but it was still unpleasant.

Are you using auto transmission? Use manual transmission for IB-3(well always really!), then upshift from 2nd to 4th gear quickly(no time spent on 3rd). That is the key to minimizing the swerves/drifts to your advantage.

Thanks a lot for the tips. I'm gonna try to finish the IB tonight. Any further suggestions for the DB9 and 370Z tests?
