Socks or shoes?

I was wondering, for all the players using wheels and pedel setups. Who where's only sock's or even bare foot and who wears shoes/traners?
My preference is socks as I use a GT force wheel and the pedels are light and plasticy.

I am looking to upgrade to a G25 soon (can anyone recomend a good supplyer in uk?), they have metal and sprung loaded pedels so im guessing people using a G25 are wearing shoes/trainers?

I don't dare wear shoes with even my crappy mad catz wheel. the pedals themselves are excellent, it's the wheel I have problems with.

Yeah, I have that problem with my pedels. I do wear trainers for drifting as it can be a bit hard on the big toe!

interesting, I thought that would be the case. I get knee lock as it is. I know you can get upgraded springs to make the pedels feel more realistic but can you adjust the resistance on a standard G25?
(I feel a pair of race boots coming on)

these things. they are nice and comfy. but you need thin socks underneath them. or your feet get all sweaty YUCK.

Those are awesome! I might need to jump on those. For now i use socks with my G25. Feels great. I've tried sneakers like driving my regular car, but the pedals feel too light, i have better control and feel as far as modulating gas/brakes better with just socks. I loose a lot of pedal feel with sneakers. Those Sim Socks look great. 👍

Well enougher option to use. Is Surf bootys. they are pritty much the same as the sim socks, but they have a thin rubber sole to them.

I recomend, the O'Neil superfreak bottys. very comfy.

They are made by Simcraft. but I dont think even simcraft have them on there webpage. they truly are hard to get. Thats why I added the link to the surf bootys. practicaly the same thing. they just dont have sim racing badges.
