christara321,
paint non-paintable cars should be another interesting thing which i will surely try. But i thing there are 2 categories of cars: 1) Racing cars with specific ad-livery 2) Normal cars which by some strange reason prohibited to paint. I think, it will be possible to paint only second.

Now that sounds interesting for sure, Can not wait to see any results you come up with.
And there is plenty of unpaintables out there to try on?
Here,s a link to one the lists what was out there so it gives plenty of choice to choose one of them unpaintables.:D

Chat soon bye for now.:)

Sorg i do have a question i would like to know very much. You said you found the files for a premium r92cp. Are you actually able to get the car in your garage and drive it, or even see it. Or is just seeing that coding for the car as far as your actually able to go?

you took it wrong. I didn't mention about files for premium R92CP. I've just told that all cars in game which have 2 versions, have "_std" suffix in their codename. Premium-only and Standard-only cars don't have such suffix. Only 2 standard-only cars have this sufix: R92CP and Speed 8.
That's why i'm thinking there is premium version of these cars somewhere in PD lab (not in game yet).

It's like everybody's crowding in to one tiny room to find out the latest news.

Amazing work, regardless. Always interesting to see what happens when the lid is cracked off of a game. 👍

the suffix was the coding thing i meant, just forget what it was called. I hope PD does some type of christmas DLC with the r92cp, my disapointment when that car wasnt presmium really upsetted me.

Have you by chance seen any type of DTM coding? Kinda don't expect anything but i wanna think there are zero Premium dtm's in the game and since DTM is currently showing on tv and christmas coming up i feel there may be soemthing special. Cant say that really though as after the 24h of lemans we didnt get a signel thing if i remember right.
:) Good job though with the finds

And to confirm Sorg, all these files are on the original GT5 disc? Or as a result of the updates?

Sorg just became everyones best friend. And GTPedia came out a couple weeks too early in paperback. Thank god for online edition updates. :-)

All tickets as long as it's not exact car, can be gifted. Paint chips are all transferable (even from DLC).

now certainly not going to sleep more,:D:lol:
I'm taking the notebook and go sit in the kitchen because my wife is already upset with my euphoria .............................:lol:

thank you for attention.👍

I'm sure this is a save game or game update/install mod seeing as DLC was mentioned in a previous post.

If I'm wrong and the GT.vol file (11GB) has been unpacked then share your methods sorg, it would be awesome if you could mod the game, add custom made liveries, new engine sounds, ectera

Very interesting sorg. It's funny,at first I thought you were just trolling, now I feel bad for you. IMO you should have waited until you had at least most of the information you could find before you released this. Unless your just leading on...In that case it's working;)

I smell Spec III coming, and hopefully this too:

Just thought about something... What about those locked photomode locations that are shown in the opening menu?

Epic Thread!

I wonder if PD put somewhere in the game information about standard, most close-to-life tires for each car. Probably not

Man if they add racing super softs...

Racing softs are already bad and unrealistic enough but super soft? forget it. I don't want GT5 to turn into any more of an arcade game than it can be already (racing soft, skid recovery, no mech. damage, etc.)

+1, the AI already uses the Super Softs though and they are still pathetic :D

Remember on GT3 (I think) where you could drive through the wall at Laguna Seca and find the drag strip? Part of this very cool thread is the memories of past GT editions.

If you find any traces of secret/hidden tracks I'll be so happy! :D

It might be AI only although i'm clueless about nitro :dunce:
Someone mentioned about AI using Super Soft after rain @ 24 LeMans.
Could be also a way to develop GT6 on PS3.

I wouldn't mind a Spec III with just the brakes, 5th turbo and engine upgrades and the premium Bentley and Nissan racecars.

Oh, and nitrous. :mischievous:

What would Turbo 4 and 5 be though? The first three are based on 3 different rpm ranges. We can't have 'Really High RPM Turbo" and "Really REALLY High RPM Turbo." Would these be multiple turbo chargers or what?

However, I'm all for premium LMP/Group C cars.

I hope these turbos and engine upgrades finally allow us to Tune a Lamborghini to 2000BHP+ and old Civics to like 700+BHP.

Also the Twin Turbo/Tri Turbo could be a possibility for stage 4/5 turbo.

Thanks for the Find and sharing it with us Sorg! You are awesome!!

This thread is nothing short of AWESOME.:drool::drool:👍👍

now that someone (sorg) has bothered to look deep into GT5's game files, I think it will only be a matter of time before (hopefully :D) some of these features would be implemented in the near future. :)

@sorg - can you please confirm if The Licensed Cars In The Credits Featured Here are in the hidden files? Would be more awesome if they were. :)

EDIT: There are a few things wrong with this thread..

1) Thread title should be changed :D:D
2) This should be moved to the Gran Turismo 5 main page subforum

who's with me? :dopey::dopey::dopey:

In GT4, the fourth turbo provided the best power, but the fifth turbo (called original I think) provided better response.

It was pretty much a stage 4 turbo with the the stage 3 response.
