I think if Kaz is ticked off it wouldn't be at us but at someone just down the hall from him...

Atleast he is not using these hacks to exploit the game. He is just sharing his discoveries. I would prefer he kept his methods secret..if the community got a hold of these..GT5 is done.

Surely they at PD do realise that there are those out there capable of cracking into the codes, so I don't know that they would be that surprised or necessarily too upset about it getting into the public domain. It's not like the information will transfer into reality to be able to be implemented into the games that we as a community play given the ability the Sony has to locate and ban cracked machines through PSN software.

As to whether or not the hubbub about it will be harmful either to game updates or support, it's not like these forums don't go into hyperdrive at the mere mention of any sort of update/DLC/maintenance possibility anyway.

I just think it's brilliant that the OP has been able to do this and put the info out there purely for information's sake. 👍

I believe that all these hidden options will included in GT6 and Iam pretty sure that it will be in PS3...PD is cutted the game in pieces. It's the law of making more money. No reason (money) to give us all these options in GT5. Imagine all these options to a brand "new" GT6 ! How many millions pieces will be sell again ? I don't blame them...it's their job.

Listen guys I think you don't realize that there wont be anymore DLC than this for Gran Turismo 5. Every DLC and Add-On has been on the disk ever since. Now we know EVERY SINGLE DLC coming out in the future and that this is all we are getting. I think Kaz would have a heard time reading this thread, Poor man seeing his beloved Gran Turismo just break under-control. Kaz does look at GTPlanet. We should respect Kaz and his team out there and encourage them ideas for DLC, NOT FORCE THEM.

Kazunori tries everything he can to keep his community happy. He gives us the chance to be pro-racedrivers and an opportunity to have your car (if modded) car in Gran Turismo from SEMA motor show. And what do we do? We hate and force them to do things! And that we want more and more and more and that we don't want this cant have that and must hack this and need to see this. And then of course you must hack into encrypting code and find every single surprise they have set up for us to make us happy now to be known to everybody and thrown all over the place wanting more.

With this attitude you can't have more, and you don't deserve more.

GREAT SCOTT

Now This is a question worth investigating!

What if the new Vette is already on the disk through the last patch and the OP found it and exposed it before the unvail. Now, that would create quit a stir, lol.

No one is forcing PD to do anything we shouldn't have already been given. We were sold a half finished game with only a fraction of the content of previous complete games, then given the privilege of being able to buy content which by all rights should have been included in the purchase price.

The only thing which helps GT5 even compare with a complete game in terms of amount of content is the addition of seasonals. But online content should not be a basis for qualifying as a portion of the complete game.

To me, what should have already been given to us is the ability to get the upgrade hardware such as extra turbos, even to allowing the addition of superchargers and such to cars which are able to have them fitted in RL.

How is that even possible!? I have the release date disk and I dont think that an update can somehow carve encrypted data into a disk from a PS3!?

Lets keep our minds off of this for now.

Do you want to know why it was a half-finished game? Because "We want more now and need it now!!" It was all like that back in 2009-10 wasn't it? Just forcing them to release it.

Relax dude, seriously. I was just giving a hypothetical scenario just for the laugh.

But, how could 2012 cars be already on the disc, when the game was released towards end of 2010?

Some of those would be in embryonic stages of development though...if this was the case, it would mean possibly a more than tenuous working relationship between PD and the relevant auto manufacturers in terms of knowledge of the development of these cars.
