In Gran Turismo 4, when you go to buy a new car, it asks you to choose a model, then choose a colour, then you buy the car. I think it would be cool it GT5 included different model trims for new cars and also included the option to choose manual or automatic before you buy (this would depend on what the real life version supports). Like if you bought a Holden Commodore:
Holden > Commodore > SS > Manual > Heron White > Purchase
I dont think that there would need to be too much remodelling on the cars (depending on the car though) and it would just increase the options as to what you can buy. The game would feel just that little bit more real, I think.
My second idea would be a updating serveice for Gran Turismo 5. Every couple of weeks/months it would be very cool if Gran Turismo was updated, with new cars/tracks ect. Maybe made for download through an online service, or as a pay per download kind of thing over the Playstation 3 network.
Just some thing I think would be cool to include in Gran Turismo.
