Is it just me or is it downloading reeaaallly slow right now. Too many people hitting the server?

Because I normally get about a couple mb a second. At this rate it's saying 99+ hours!

Sorry for being not quite up to date as I did not read through this whole thread. If you were on the original Beta do you need to download anything new for the 4 day beta? I looked in PS Store and saw nothing, but I am in the US so probably not available yet if I need to download more.
The demo is completely different from the Beta. You will need to download the whole demo at roughly 43Gb. It will appear in your store shortly after midnight in your local time.

It will not become available to play until October 9th.

I'm at 3MB/sec with wi-fi (almost 15GB since roughly 2h ago). Is your connection stable?

Yep pretty stable. And test other content and speed was fine. Just the GTS demo is slow.

That sucks. But you still have 46 hours :D I'm sure it will finish before that.

Why wouldn't they have made this available over the weekend?

Probably because during weekends PD's staff is at home. Week days are better in case something needs intervention from the dev / server team or something.

Battlefront 2 has a beta this weekend and Sony have an advertising deal, maybe don't want them to clash?

I'd be surprised if PD's staff is working during weekends tbh.

From job offers on PD's official website:

Days off/ vacation days: 2 day Weekends, holidays, summer, year end/year start, paid holidays

I could be wrong ofc.

Well the whole time limited demo begins next week on Monday, so best bet is to wait next week Monday night after 8pm.

No way!!!! I'll be checking as soon as I get up in the morning on Monday :D

My had finished downloading by the time my alarm woke me up at 6am.

You can prioritise graphics or framerates on a non HD screen. Then there are two chequerboard screens, one to set max light the other to set minimum light. Then there's a final screen with a static race image which allows you to change EV to suite.

Then the bad news. You cannot save when you are not connected to the server. At all. Disconnections will therefore become your greatest enemy. You will come to dread that if Destiny 1/2 and it's daft messages are anything to go by.

Attract mode I could just leave running as a screen saver.

It looks really pretty.

The whole game is 60gb+

Actually based on history of PSN demos, PearlJam is correct. It's the whole game, minus the key. We'll get a temporary key to play the Demo for a short time and then it locks. I have a ton of games on PSN that are full games but locked until the key is installed. They literally are in the download section as a demo and a second download unlock key. 60GB is most likely unpack space required to install the game once it's downloaded, if you do not have at least 60GB of space you won't be able to install the game. Demo's are done this way to save time and bandwidth, if you want to get the full game after enjoying the demo just purchase it and you get a download key instead of having to download another massive full game file. This only applies to demos I've encountered on PSN in all my years using the service, doubt they'll change it to something archaic now. Although I could be wrong, but as history shows this seems to be the case with PSN demos without fail.

Right now I'm waiting for it to appear in the store NY, USA so I can set it to download while I sleeps. Crossing fingers it appears in the next 20 minutes or so.
