The dynapack supports the car like a jack it doesn't bend axels bcause you put a jack under the car

if the wheels support the car, the dynapack suports the car, dynapack gets to be attached where the wheels are attached with hub adapters, it will not bend any axles, it will not cause any harm to the vehicle, it is actually a lot safer than a roller dyno(like Mustang dynamometer)... because sometimes when you strap the car down, an old and worn out(streched) strap can snap & cause an accident.

The first step in perfectioning the game domo arigatogozaima****a Kazunori-San :)

Talking about perfection... if you pay attention to Need for Speed or Forza... all sounds there have been altered or modified to make them sound like if you are in front of the car...Movie Theater like... Now... Kazunori is looking for perfection, so I guess he wanted pure engine sounds with no alterations... just like adding milk to your coffee...lol

We use some like the dyno pack in our smaller college garage. We put jacks under just to be safe. We don't want a car dropping.

So just as many users here have guessed, it's a hardware and time issue. It's clear that the newer Premium cars were recorded using the Dynapack but due to RAM limitations, the samples have to be stretched too far making them sound like that.

Then there are all of the other cars from past GT titles that they didn't record with this Dynapack so they reused samples as old as the GT series itself.

Now that's just on the recording side, we still need to know about their plans regarding the in-game sound engine, the new Senna cars are definitely more than just a loop.

I'd like to hear in detail about their "new way to produce sounds"

Okay I hate to bring the beer can guy back again but he actually explains the composition of the wave forms of a sampled V10 and is able to reproduce the sounds with his beer can. I know it seems ridiculous but it's actually pretty similar to what PD is doing with GT.

It says "Answered" but where is the answer? Do I have to find the blog to find the answer? There should be a link in here to it if that's the case, no?

Or am I just missing the "Answer" somewhere in here? LOL
It's on the blog. The blog answers the questions.
There is no answer. Like everything PD they announce it, then never bring it out.
The question is answered in multiple parts. How did you forget to read the part where it says ''to be continued''? Did you not read it to the end? If so, how do you know there is no answer?

Seems to be HALF an answer. I thought these were to be answered here as this was a "GTPlanet" thing. Oh well. Even with 1.09, I still don't feel I have a reason to update yet and won't until testing returns.

Or in this case how do you know it's half an answer?

@NICKname I'm baffled by the response to good news too...sadly some people have no ability to be positive even in a positive situation. The fact that Kaz himself is answering these questions is unprecedented. It's a step in the right direction and I'm sure most of the GTP community finds it a very welcome relief.

There's always a few boneheads with big mouths out there though.

Look one post up or try reading the article!
It says it is to be continued, that means it will be continued. Do you not know what happens when things are split up into parts? They get continued later. That doesn't mean they gave half an answer and just stopped working on it.

Well stuff like this always happens. I've seen people on this site who never respond positive to anything. What really baffles me is that those three people fail to understand ''to be continued''.

I agree... some people just go by some pictures & video, but after the sound gets to be recorded by Forza & EA Games(Need for Speed) they have to modify it to make it sound louder & have some quality like when you play the game.

lets all just stay positive... good things are coming to GT6 & even better things to GT7... also... Sony has been recording music for decades & I know they want a pure sound on Gran Turismo, so they are doing their best so we can be happy with their results one day.

Sure, he acknowledged that the sounds are not up to par, but he has yet to give an answer to the current state of their system for generating sounds, and if or when we can expect it to be in place. I guess part X should cover those questions. Interesting read though, I must say.

Either way, kudos to PD 👍

I think the key is theres some cars that sound really good in the game, and some that sound really bad. Im hoping the ones that sound really good are taking advantage of their 'new sound method', while the bad sounds are simply 'standard' sounds, leftovers from the old method of giving the cars sound.
