You posted that picture in the GT5 Meme thread

I may buy a new controller by the race date :D

Event being run by Gorsad on May 25th. 2 speed race with the RX7 and the Roadster from the first DLC pack. Looks good so I thought I'd post the link here as a few of you may wish to participate. The track is either Fuji or Nurburgring GP/F track. There's a poll on the thread to decide. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=253813

Okay, signup my flatmate aswell. He doesn't have a GTP user, but his PSN is Kaupmees and he'll be driving a Scudiera.

Am I too late to sign up?
If not, I will sign up, using the Ferrari F430 Scuderia.
My PSN is NFSGUY.

I'll take the Ferrari Scuderia as a reserve driver.

Could you clearify what you mean by reserve driver? You'll only join if we don't have a lot of peope on race day? Or you just not sure about whether you have time on race day?

Next practice sessions will be hosted on both saturday and sunday at 10.45GMT.

That's powersliding. Not drifting. Drifting is maintaining control while letting the rear end slip out. Powersliding is just using your traction to do 100% controlled sliding.

Just to clarify :) look at the picture below:

drifting.jpg

Soon as the side slip angle β becomes bigger than a few degrees (can't really tell how much), then you're drifting. Regardless of what drivetrain layout your car has. How to control/maintain it on the other hand is different per drivetrain layout.

Any idea when there will a practise session?

I'll post this again then...

Next practice sessions will be hosted on both saturday and sunday at 10.45GMT.

Wow wow wow wow, Monaco GP. This seasons so exciting this year. 5 races, 5 Different Drivers, 5 different Teams. Could Kimi make it 6/6/6 or even Grosjean? Or could Hamilton get his first win on a track he is very strong at with rain forcast for qualifying and a possibility for sunday. Or is Maldonardo going to become the first double winner with an obviously fast Williams and a track with that he is quick at?

Talking about Formula One? You will start last on the grid. :grumpy:

BTW. I realise that you poeople in the US, have trouble attending some of the practice sessions due to time differences. Feel free to suggest time and dates for practice sessions. All suggestions have to be in GMT though!

So far, it looks like we'll have a nice turnout for this race. Should be interesting.

Well 8 am isn't a ridiculous hour but anyone that lives in California would have to be there at 4 am

Maybe 12 gmt would be better, the same time as race day.

ok, this is what we'll do. I can't change the practice time for saturday, but I can move the time back on sunday.

So practice session on saturday, will be at the before mentioned time of 10.45GMT. And the session on sunday, will be opened on 12.00GMT.

Unfortunately I will not be there for practice on Sunday then. Monaco is more important

Off topic, but I just did another car drawing. You guys want to see it?

The wheels looks nice too, a lot better than your previous drawings.

I will join saturdays training, but i'm not sure about sunday. Probably going to watch F1 as well, its a great season so far.

I have to get back at my previous post. I can't join tomorrow because i have to work. I think i will join sunday as the F1 races at monaco are not that great to watch.

Hey, can the one that hosts this event PM me about the practice sessions and other important things? I find it quite hard to follow posts on this thread.

Unfortunately didn't come today because I was driving in the real world (go-karting). And I might not come tomorrow. On the upside I have got a new helmet and a racing suit is on the way :sly: . Now my games can be 20% cooler more realistic!
