Hey Andy, I think it would be better for me if you could move the event until later because I have a karting race that is starting late and while I hopefully will be back before midnight, I don't know what time I exactly will be back for. Please move the event time until about 23:00-00:00 GMT!

Depending on the day I could stay up late :)

Uhmm, let me see if I get this straight. You want me to move a 2 hour + event to 2 a clock at night (danish time)? That ain't happening. The event is at 12.00 GMT at mid-day. Event time is not changing this late.

If the event is at midday then there's no problem. I thought it was at 1900 GMT or something like that.

If anyone is interested in joining in on some practice today, I have just opened a lobby.

Well, I don't see why not. We need all the drivers we can get, and we've raced with you before, so we know that you know the rules. :)

What car will you be using?

Just as a reminder to everyone. Take it easy on the first lap before and on Eau Rouge. Remember that different drivers and espicially the cars will have different speeds throughout Eau Rouge. Be extremely careful not to damage anyone. These aren't small cars, so I don't want to see someone attempt to overtake on Eau Rouge. The person in front has the right of passage, so if you're behind another driver by more than a bonnet lenght, then slow down, and give the racing line to the other person.
This is only necessary on Eau Rouge. On other turns, you just need to give room to one another.

Also take extra care if you're thinking of overtaking at Pouhon.

Remember. Off track rules are to keep no less than 2 wheels on the tarmac at all times. No more than two wheels should be on or beyond the rumble stripes. It's ok to go slightly off track on rare occasions, but don't overtake by doing so. Also take care not to do it frequently.

One exception is turn 9 at Les Combes, where it's ok to fully use the rumble stripes.

Where are you Andy? And am I the only one who finds it interesting when Andy logs on to PSN at the very last few seconds before the event lobby is supposed to be open  ?

Well, I have nothing to do on the PS3 atm. :)

What do you mean that you have nothing to do on the PS3? You're hosting a 2+ hour event today, and the lobby was supposed to be opened 6 minutes ago. Unless you are cancelling the race.

Sorry guys, but you're gonna have to sign me and Kaupmees off, because of unexpected schoolwork.

Nope. The lobby is supposed to open in 46 minutes. The GMT times, as has been stated numerous times, do not take summer time into account. As such. UK residents has to add 1 hour, and most of Europe has to add 2 hours.

Okay Atleet. Thanks for notifying me.

Oh 🤬 ! I totally forgot about that. Seriously, Europe really need to quit this daylight savings crap as it's extremely confusing. Do you think the event will be over before 15:00 BST? I would have to get ready for a karting event IRL by then. If the race does happen to go further than 15:00 BST then forgive me for suddenly leaving the lobby.

EDIT: I just figured out that if the event is going to start at 12:00 BST then the actual race won't start until 13:00 BST. I think I might have to skip this one.

The event should last roughly 2 hours and 15 minutes.

15 minutes too long :S . Sign me off for this Jawehawk, sorry. I won't get banned from future events though, right?

No, you won't. The event hasn't started yet, so you haven't really done anything wrong.

I'll be joining the lobby in around 30 minutes 👍

Any idea how many participants we have for the event?

It's a mighty good question. If everyone who are still signed up shows up, we'll have 8 people. Though I have no idea whether "Enduranceguy" is going to show, as he never got back to me about the practice session and all that. So my guess would be 7 people.

Lobby is up! 1472-6399-8966-5886-2695.

So maybe 6? For some reason people always just don't turn up  x1,000,000,000

When is someone comming in to beat my current best of 2.33.763?
I have no idea whether I've done faster laps in previous practice sessions. Long live the No HUD driving!

Mind you, I've done 2:32.999 on SM tyres in previous practice sessions. Also I'm really sorry and regret the fact that I couldn't come to the race today. Hopefully I won't be busy the next time we have a race like this.

We ended up with just 3 people, which is pretty damn pathetic considering the amount who had signed up. I have no hard feelings towards those who notified me about not attending, as well as ADR, as he did say he might not make it. But the rest of you need to learn some god damn common courtesy. I put a lot of time into creating these events and hosting practice sessions, so the least you could do is 🤬 notifying me if you aren't going to show up.

Of course we didn't do the 41 lap race with so few people. Instead we tested out a few other tracks, and agreed on an endurance championship with these cars. The tracks that we've decided on so far are Spa, Nurburg GP/F and Le Sarthe. The races will be held on seperate dates, and thus I'll need to post the thread in the "Racing Series" section of the online race board. I'll link to it once it's done.

I have to agree with Jawehawk here. It was disappointing that people just didn't show up. The little race we did with the 3 of us was good fun and proof enough that a 41 lap race would have been some real good racing.

Providing I'm not busy you can include me in the Race Series. Are you sure you don't want to put the Special Stage route 5 in? I thought it was quite fun. Although without it you can say that it is world tracks and not Gran Turismo creations.
