Wow man, this is pretty bad news. About the only thing you can do is take that game back for another one if you're allowed to do that and exchange it for another copy. If you are able to do that, have the people at the shop test it to be sure it works before you take it home.

Thats real bad mate!! The problem its from the PS2 for what I can see...if the game works on another PS2. It might sound stupid, but with my old black PS2, to run some games I have to put her on the "Horizontal", not on "Vertical" and some games work that way (like GT3 and Tourist Trophy). Sorry I can´t help U more...

Thanks NTX I tried it but it didn't help thanks for the advice though. We have tracked down the probelm to the PS2 as it could't be the disc's fault at all really. Thanks though.

Sorry LOON I didn't see your comment. I can't take the game back anyways as it was bought off a reliable online store. Even if I could it wouldn't help the matter as it isn't the game at fault here just the annoyingly frustrating PS2.

Still no luck concerning me but I can run it on the other PS2 which I don't like using so I am using that for my comp entries but will not be making my update until things get sorted.
I used to ge the same message so I bought a new PS2 and sold the old one for spares.

Thanks Beerzy for the support but I bought this off a website which meant I couldn't reallt do much about it. Also turns out that one of my friends GT4's works on the PS2 I am having probelms with..which is making me very,very,very confused......

Sometimes that sort of thing happens. Have you tried to clean the lens?

It happened something similar between me and my brother. We both have PES5, and his suddenly stopped working. We switched games, his game worked fine on my PS and my game worked fine on his PS, problem solved. Go figure...

How should you go about cleaning the lens? Last time my Dad tried it with my last PS2 he broke it that was the reason for the new PS2...so how?

There's 'tutorials' on how to do it, google it.
It's ust about (everything done CAREFULLY) opening it up until you see the lens, clean as much as you can everywhere, and clean the lens too, I use a q-tip with some alcohol that I can't recall the name right now. It's not hard and it takes you about 20 to 30min to open, clean and close.

Thanks NTX. I really enjoyed creating this shot and I am incredibly happy with the results! And don't worry NTX I am not planning to leave GTP anytime soon unless something really serious comes up (which I doubt). Thanks for your comments on my picture. Seems strange that when I came back from my shot holiday before I used a Honda S2000 and now again after some sad news I am using a S2000....Okay this is weird...Very weird.

Did you dilate the background before you blurred? Looks rather good to me. quite special. nice car color also.
Just try adding some extra noise to background when it comes to blur distorting.

Nice I like it, the lighting is really good. Like Lee already said, some mroe noise on the road would look better. And a minor thing in this case, is the rear wheel spinning, I can't tell.

Well I have finally been on GT4 today on my PS2 I wanted to go on!!! All I had to do was change the disc speed in Browser setting to "fast" and it seems to be alright now although can be a little tempomental still but I have had a seriously long photo session so you can all look forward to seeing more!!

interesting. did you manually blur the back round? theres just something weird about the car that doesnt make it feel like its a part of the backround/picture.
