SpeedART- Birthday Update!

interesting. did you manually blur the back round? theres just something weird about the car that doesnt make it feel like its a part of the backround/picture.

Well I did it in photoshop I know it isn't the best shot in the world but it is just a breaker in time before the next update which I promise will be good.

Last 2 pics are nicely done with that blurring. The DB9 looks specially neat and defined. I like the fact you have not overdone the editting of your images. Keep that work up.

Thanks Alex it is much appreciated. Every time I look back at the DB9 pic it looks better and better. If you have liked these 2 pics then hopefully you will also like the next update as I seem to be working really hard on getting the shots up to scratch. I seem to work better with cars that I like than cars I don't. Thanks again for the comment.

I love the reflections on the car and the nice colours. You should've left the tarmac bellow the car unblurred imo. Looks like it's floating.

Cheers

Thanks Freddy I know I should not have blurred the tarmac but I wanted to experiment with effects and this happened to be one of them. Thanks again though.

Wow, back to the future style! Floating Aston Martin.:)
now you can float around in style.;)

Just kidding bro,

The aston pic looks neat, I like the simple style. Not too much editing, but still a good pic. That's the way I like it!.:D

waiting for your update...:)

Thanks mate! I know it looks like a floating car  Thanks again for the comment.

Here is picture that I have been working my socks off on for my next update. This pic will be included in it but hopefully with any improvements you guys suggest.

Aston Martin V12 Vanquish @ Tsubuka

Wow! again a very nice shot. The car looks very very clean. You've chosen the right colour for it. Also the direction of the blur is perfectly done. One suggestion for the next update though: maybe add a bit noise to the ground befor adding the blur, then it looks better because you can "see" the speed. 👍

Great work on your last three shots Speedy, you have got the Zoom blur down and you cars are looking cleaner every update.

I agree with Fred, putting noise on the road makes it looks a lot better. So you should give it a try next time.

Keep up the good work. 👍

Thanks guys!
Its the new cleaning technique that is getting rid of the noise I will have to figure a way around it as it seems to clean the backround as well which isn't exactly what I want but I am sure I can find a way around it. So I will try that now and get back to you with the new product. As I said the more ways to improve given on this means the better my next update is.
I am trying to tie it in with the 500th post as well but that might be difficult :scared:. I think you guys have probably guessed what the update is by now but if you haven't then keep on guessing....

I'm a little skeptical towards this update Speedy. The blur is looking better everytime but the glow is so ever overwhelming, I can't tell how you cleaned the car because all textures in the road and on the grass have dissapeared, as if you've applied a median far too much...I'd just recommend you not to use too much glow and some noise on the road (I use 20% for the road only, 5% for the whole picture afterwards before blurring) 👍

Keep it up!

damn great updates here lately man! i see you found my spot for the tokyo r246 track! :D the aston martin is pretty smooth too. i know the colors are better, but the monitor i'm using in the hotel is ****. but the pics still look good otherwise. sorry to hear about the trouble with the gt4 disc.

Well firstly I wouldn't call this pic a update as such just a preview of an update. 20% noise on the road? I only use...about 3-4% and 5% for the rest. See I have always thought that noise in the sky would make it unrealistic as you wouldn't get noise as such in the sky. I will try again and show you later for your verdict. I always appreciate you looking at my gallery as although it seems you are giving negative comments you are always giving me ways to improve as well, so thank you!

Well what can I say...I was crusing along in my automobile my baby aside me at the wheel...
I may have sorted out the GT4 disc by using something called....contacts I contacted Tommi2000 he lives up the road from me and he has now got my new GT4 and I have his one he uses. I know it sounds really strange but it will all become clear. Basically and strangely his GT4 works on my PS2 my new one however doesn't so I am using his Gt4 at the moment and will hopefully if all goes according to plan he will be keeping my new one and I will keep his one that works. Whats stranger is that he has had his since release date and mine is new and it didn't work good god I get confused just talking about it.

Like I said, I only use 20% noise on the road, the sky only recieves 5% of me 👍 The more noise to the road, the more textured it gets, use too much (40-50%), and it looks overdone 👍

I'm not negative Speedy, keep that in mind, you've made alot of progress, I was just pointing some things you might consider improving 👍

I didn't mean that you were negative as such just helpful as you give "Constructive Critiscm" which is what I meant, sorry if that caused any problems. I will try again...ahh wait I can't I deleted the 3 orginal pictures as I thought I was done with them... thats a problem. Hopefully I can do that on future shots.

The previous Aston shot is pretty good, although you blurred the tarmac underthe car. Try experimenting cutting the parts you want blurred, copy them to a new layer, and blurring them in that separate layer. Also, when selecting those parts, feather them (high number usually) in a way that they will blend well with the rest of the shot when blurred.

On this last one, the blur itself is good, but it appears (like Bram said) as if you applied a strong median filter before blurring, and that took away almost all texture from the scenery. You should leave background as it is, and apply the noise to the road before blurring.
The car itself looks better, fairly clean, but also lost some sharpness. It's all a matter of practicing, buddy.
You're useing some new techniques now and it's only natural that not everything comes out perfectly at first. But you've got talent, so you'll be putting out awesome 2.0 shots in no time! 👍

Thanks Beery. I will try that next time.

Yeh I showed Bram another shot I did and he quite liked the other one so that is the one I will be using. Thanks again Beerzy.

Thanks jeremyray. I will check it out right now for you.

-Yay 500 post mark has gone!!!

Here we are Part 1 of 2 of my Aston Martin Update. I have really tried hard on these shots. Also try and ignore the rubbish panel it looked good in photo shop but now it looks :indiff:. So try and concentrate firmly on the photos please.
Fully Aston Martin

Enjoy! Part Two of the update will not be phototravel but the cars on the track!

Looks good Speedster. Colours are nice and vibrant (where applicable;) and the angles are good. Imageshack is being unkind to me as it won't load the Vanquish shot:( Likely a problem at my end.

Well the Vanquish shot is my personal favourite out of this bunch so I would, if you can check it out when imageshack works again. Thanks for your comment though Cod_Father!

EDIT: It was a probelm down my end same with the Aston Martin logo I have re-imageshacked them so try again if thats possible.
EDIT 2: Now the DB9 pic ain't working at all I will try and sort it...
EDIT 3: Yes it is working now so try again guys!

Okay... one comment on this update that has took me forever is not particulary good. Also I have changed the banner on the first page which is part of mt first post re-doing. The shot in it will be shown in this update (part 2).

So I see U are ready to open a Aston Martin stand
Quite good Speed!! I like specially the 1st one, WOW!!
U did also a good work on the panel, I like to see U make them big.
Well done Speed:)

interesting:

pictures 1 & 3 - im not a hgue fan of frontal blurs like that, but, beyound that ... whose driving the car?

picture 2 - the backround, nose, and hood look almost like oil paintings, but, the side of the car is crisp and sharp. odd contradiction?

picture 4 - this is my favorite one, it also seems like the simplst one. i also like the desaturated back round and colourfull car. 👍

The first one is nicely done. I like the blur (it looks like painted on). Also the other 2 shots are really good. The best imo is the db7. Really nice colours and good tones.

Cheers
