SpeedART- Birthday Update!

You really want me commenting in here huh?

That's OK 👍 Anyway, they're pretty good. You're making some nice progression, do keep that up Speedy Gonzalez (Where did that come from?). As you've got 4 images, I'll just point out the negative things, otherwise, this would become a huge post and I'm rather lazy at the moment

The Median Filter feel in the first image is still too high, but it's definitly better than the Aston earlier posted 👍 Try to keep that effect down, don't use it if not necessary
I haven't got too much to say as negative comment on the second one though, maybe only the weird wheel blur?
As for the third, the camera was pretty bad out of focus, it's not my style but some may like it 👍
I've already seen that fourth one and I liked it a lot, only the left sidemirror which looks blurred with the background or something..(right in pic).

Anyway, just keep practising and you'll get there

I see you got my PM then :). Of course I want you to comment on mine means I can improve by the more comments I get! And I am fine with you pointing out the negative things.

Concerning the median filter, when I orginally editted the shots I had not seen these comments on how everone doesn't to approve of the median filter clean-up. I have found a new way (still using the median) which seems to work much better. If you want my clean-ups to improve you will have to wait as I ain't that good yet and am still experimenting.

With the wheel blur I think it looks wierd as people aren't used to seeing the front end of the car lower than the back while braking in a zoom blur shot. But the blur was a simple take 3 shots..blah..blah thingy.

On to the third then. I am not particulary keen on that one but after almost 3 hours of taking photo's with that car I started to almost hate it. I had hardly took any "good shots" of it so that was my final decision and my best shot.

4th shot now. I know I already showed you it and beared in mind your comments on future updates that are planned. Thanks for dropping in Bram!

that frontal shot of the aston martin is probably one of the best i've seen from you. for now. but dont get me wrong, all these new updates are good.
i love them all to be honest. sorry i wasnt able to visit your gallery right away.
i know i was online while i was on vacation, but i just took one quick look at a few of them before i grew sick of the internet cafe, which didnt take long.
anywho, hope to see more from you!

Thanks, I wasn't expecting you to comment while you were on holiday. But thanks for your comments on my gallery, I appreciate all comments here. Glad you liked the Aston Martin frontal shot. Thanks again!

Sorry For The Double Post
Well, I think that update has run long enough so here is my next update. Now I did plan to do a "Green" update but it has been post poned to the fact of... umm... lack of ideas.
So recently I have been watching a very good piece of film footage called "C'etait un Rendezvous". And it gave me an idea. Some tracks on GT4 are quite similar to the sort of things that the film had so I thought I would give it a go. Now in this update there are 2 videos and 4 pictures. One video is the orginal "C'etait un Rendezvous" the other is Snow Patrols song Open Your Eyes which has Rendezvous as the video. So I hope you enjoy this "C'etait un Rendezvous " update. Enjoy!

Enjoy!

I can see you got inspired by that piece of film. Maybe lens flare isn't really needed as there isn't something superbright in the pic?

Well I wanted to give the idea of coming out of a fairly dark area of road and then light shining onto the car. But on some of the pictures it doesn't quite work. Anyway thanks for your comment.

love what you did here. i think the lense flair on the 3rd pic was spot on IMO.
anyways great videos and pics you made here. i do have the original like the one you showed here. it's insane.

Thanks jgda9rs! I thought the lens flare worked well on that picture. Thanks again.

Both your Aston Martin updates were very good Speedy, you captured some great angles got good lighting and colour.
The first and third shots from the first update are nice, good use of blur and the colours look good. Sweet lighting in the first one.
Like you said the front end is the business end of all Aston's. :D
I really like the DB7 and DB9 from that update, they are simple yet effective. I like how you made the bg B&W in the DB9 shot. Really adds something different and makes the car stand out.

The first and last shots are my fav from the second update, I like the soft look of both of them, good blurring, colour and light too.
The third shot has really nice vibrant colours, but the car looks pretty blurry.
I am not to sure on the DB7 either, it would look better imo if it was not braking of if you took the shot from the back of the car.
Looks as though you have really got the hang of blurring, keep at it. You can only get better. 👍
Mmmmm, I really like that DB9 shot, you did a superb job on that imo. :)

Your latest update is interesting, I haven't watched the videos. My limit is nearly over so I am trying to keep my downloading to a minimum.
The blurs look pretty good, it is hard to get them perfect at that track with all the different angles.
I am not sure about the lens flare on all the shots, it looks alright on the first and last, don't know about the middle two.
Anyway, interesting work. It is always good to do something different.

Keep it up Speedy, and don't worry about the amount of comments you get. You started your gallery way after mine and you already have a lot more comments than me. :dopey:
Keep it up. 👍

Now to the Rendezvous update. If you do get a chance then, seriously, check out atleast one of the videos, they are great. You are so right about the difficulty of taking photos at that track took me for ever to get them angles. Thanks again for the comment on this update. Concerning the gallery it self I am not really worried about lack of comments just when you put up a update you usually expect someone to comment on it pretty quickly. Anyway, Thank you very much for your comment.

Also just thought to remind you that I have redone the first post now so if you guys want to check that out too.

Here is a intresting fact to do with Rendezvous (mainly the first vid) was that the driver was actually driving a Mercedes not the Ferrari that he was rumoured to drive. In my photos I was driving the Minolta Toyota Race Car so I could get a better sense of speed. Anyway keep on commenting.

Hahaha, just checked out your first post. "GTP's Official Aston Martin Nutcase" I love it, very good Speedy. Looks good and is easy to navigate. 👍

Thanks Drift! Well I have to be something around here I can't just be Speedster can I? Thanks for your comment! You spelt first wrong though.

Those shots are pretty awesome. The sun really makes the extra touch. Also the speed looks realistic to me. Also the video on youtube is cool. This is surely one of the coolest updates by you. 👍

Great idea. For me, for many people that myth is false. You can see the sound and the images has not any syncronism in some parts... There are some theories about the driver and car, but they are not sure.

About the pics, the noise should be used to rough surfaces as tarmac, rather the overall blurred image. The lens flare is trying to give a higher spectacular sense, but doesn't look natural again. At least the vanishing point is correctly placed.

The panel is oversized to 1024 wide screen, wich is the most popular format actually :P

Didn't I already mention about the car being used was a Merc not a Ferrari? :dunce: Thanks for your comment, I realise that now and will take that into account next time. I am sorry about the size as well I didn't expect it to be this big until I uploaded the last segment. Thanks again Alex!

nice update Speedster.
I found it to be really original, good find.

keep it up!:)

Au revoir!
Thanks Vince! Don't star thinking I am french...that would not be good for my popularity (not that I have any).

Very cool. It's nice to see where some of the updates get their inspiration.
Thanks Cod_Father glad to hear that you liked it.

Yeah nice idea on get inspiration on those videos.
Very original shots I gotta say, and I like the way U use the lens flare!!
Well done, and once again, nice panel:)

Thanks NTX! Quite a contrasting view point on the lens flares at the moment. I took inspiration from you NTX for the panel. Thanks again NTX :).

Cool pictures, I see someone is making photos without the cars... Quite unusual but cool. You should try taking a picture of those lemans planes and that Tahiti Maze planes. :D

👍
Wow ! Very serious stuff you have Speed specially the video...Brilliant Idea :)
Thanks jeremyray! Glad you liked the concept behind the idea.

Thanks Tunervision! That was the idea of the whole update, no cars. I have tried before with the planes at Le Sarthe but just couldn't fit them in with anything. I have never heard of the Tahiti Maze ones though :dunce: . Thanks again for your comment.

Man those are nice, I like the idea you had behind them and everything, keep up the great work man.

My next update is not going to be the "Green(ish)" update as I want to save that for my 50th update which will be very soon (1 update away). My next is going to be of a Audi Lemans Quattro they aren't amazing shots so I may only post one which I did.

Also, I am on holiday all next week in Devon (In a rented Castle!!) so I will be absent for a while. So the comp (CCCL) will hopefully be running over the period of time I am away and then as soon as I get back I put the poll up and next comp. Anyway the Audi update will be up this week and possibly the Green one if I get time.
