SpeedART- Birthday Update!

I'm sorry for that, speedster.
I know just as much as everyone else how hard it is to lose a pet, I've lost my fair share of 'em too.
The first picture is fantasticly related to the event, I almost want to say it gives a nostalgic effect. The second and third are great just as well. It's quite a tribute.
RIP Elsa.

Sorry to hear about your loss, my dog Aisha died of a cancer 2-3 years ago, so i know the pain :indiff:

On that, I'd like to mention that your latest work is beginning to show an increase of quality 👍 Just be carefull not too select too big parts of the car when blurring, otherwise your area will turn out blodgy

Hey Speed,

visited the site again and of course i visit you as first gallery ;)
I'm really sorry for the loss of your dog.. there is an upside tough. You can really see the passion in those pictures. All very well done and sharp in my opinion!

Keep it up you are improving every time i come by!

Seem's strange to me though, as I have lost a pet before but I didn't care as much as losing Elsa. The only other animal that I lost which I was upset about as much as this was Felix. Thanks for your words, they really mean alot to me especially when they compliment you as much as you just did. Thanks, I really appreciate it.

Thanks Bram, that's a really nice name for a dog, never heard of one like that before but it is really nice.

Glad to hear that my work is increasing in quality but I still belief that there is a few huge steps to go before I rival the likes of Moglet and you. I will be careful not to do that. Thanks for your comment it is much appreciated.

It is great to see you again Ray! Glad to know that you visited me first, makes me feel special. I am really glad that you like them. I will try to keep improving every time you swing by. Every now and then I get a really good tip from someone which often really helps. I still can't wait until you are back here for good. Your work was amazing and I will not forget it! Thanks again for your comment.

Right then, this is going to be my final Rest In Peace update. It is another estate car which I know that Tommi2000 would be proud of me using.

I felt that this half of the update didn't go quite as well as I had hoped. My favourite shot out of this update has to be the first picture of the Audi on the track. But thats just me.

Back to the theme of this update. Elsa was a great dog, you couldn't have wished for a better dog. She never barked or wimpered, always did what you told her to do and got on with the cats. Infact that was the greatest thing about her. She completed the family, she was very keen on cats which made the cats see no danger in her so they got on and loved her back, we all loved her and whole family loved her including the other dog in the family called Buster.

Here are two pictures of her from last year. The first of which is the two cats (Tiger & Whiska's) and Elsa sleeping all in her bed. The second is a picture that I will always remember her by.

By the way I am actually crying now, so I better put the update up.

Enjoy.

the car looks a bit too blurry for me. but it suits the second and third photo a lot. in the 2nd pic, the car looks like it's misty from the cold evening and the blur on the background just completes the foggy look. i like what you did with the pic on the first one though, just wish the pic wasn't that blurred. but then that's just me. not to worry at all, they all look good. i still can't make a red car look good, to me i always notice that red cars have bad textures. might be just me, i'm not sure. great work on the update though. cute dog you have as well. i've had cats and dogs at the same time, and neither got along at All. i'm jealous. but like people say, all dogs go to heaven! not sure if mine did. she always used to try and chase the paper guy when she gets out, granted she doesnt bite, but still :( all i can say is be happy for them as they now rest in peace free of any problems or miseries.

where have you been stranger ? :P glad to see you around again.

Wow, the shots are great. I didn’t look at the details of it (if it was to blurry or the cleaning) but the emotion it transmits. By looking at each one of the shots, I can feel the emotion of it, the pain you are suffering from the lost and a sense of miss. I like this update the better because it transmits more feelings than the other.👍

Those pictures are fantastic they show a lot of... aha! emotion! Just the word I was looking for.
Yes I agree with LdS, they show a lot, and the feeling in these are very strong.

Sad about your lost man. The RS4 looks so cool at Venezia, I think that location has got an amazing lighting for a so stylish car.

Hey, speeds.

You're improving on the quality of your shots lately, it shows well. Try not to abuse of the soft look, though. It tends to make shots seem more similar to each other, and always use it in a light way, so the shot maintains some sharpness.

The road shot is pretty good, although the car itself seems to have lost some detail. Background looks great and the tarmac is sweet, nice job.

The Canyon shot has some good details, the wide angle vertical shot works well, the bright glow on the sky looks nice, and car looks clean, not losing much detail. Only thing not working very well is the fact that the side of the car that's on the shade is too dark.

The Venice shot has a really cool angle and light is better than the Canyon shot. Colors are nice, but to me the background should be toned down a bit, or at least darkened, to let the car stand out more, it's pulling too much attention away from the car.

Very nice update, like I said you're improving a lot lately. 👍

I couldn't comment properly on an update like this, but the shots are great and i'm sure Elsa would have loved them:tup:
Sorry for you loss speedy.

Tommi.

I love the last shot the most speedster502.

Thanks TVR&FF.

Thanks jgda9rs, red cars are in general very hard to get looking good. I must admit I struggled. That's why I prefered the first part of the update but I just wanted to do estate cars, I knew Tommi would also kill me if I didn't use red :) All that Elsa used to do was lick, she was a useless guard dog but then again she wasn't supposed to be a guard dog she was incredibley friendly. Tommi will have first hand experience of Elsa that will be why his comment is very brief. Anyway, thanks for your comment.

Thanks LdS, I have never heard someone look at pictures and go deeper than just the skin of them. There was alot of emotion going into all of these shots, believe me. If they were on paper they would be looking like a sunken boat....Thanks for your comment.

Thanks Bigdaddy, they do show a lot of emotion. Thanks again.

Thanks Alex, Which one is Venezia? Seriously I can never remember. Thanks again Alex.
Agh.. I know how you feel.. Anyways..I really like the 'nissan sisters' pic..Its awesome!
Nissan Sisters? That was ages ago! One of my favourite updates though. Thanks for your comment.

Very nice update, like I said you're improving a lot lately. 👍

I don't know how the softness actually appeared  I didn't do anything that I didn't do on the legacy. I don't really have time to concentrate on every detail of your comment like I usually do, but I will bear in minf what you have said. Thanks for saying that I am improving alot. Hopefully the next update will be even more impressive.

I couldn't comment properly on an update like this, but the shots are great and i'm sure Elsa would have loved them:tup:
Sorry for you loss speedy.

Tommi.

I understand completely Tommi, your the main person that I was afraid about when putting this up as I knew you loved Elsa too and after meeting her it is very hard for you as well as me. I do hope Elsa does love them, I am sure she has a computer with GTP on in heaven. Thanks for your comment.
Sorry for your loss Speedy. I love the RS4 in the 2nd picture 👍

Thanks Puke.

Mercedes SL65 AMG @ New York (Bram's Place)

Well I am posting a un-expected update. This shot was so well appreciated in GT4 Photomode Week 68 [2.0], I thought I would post it in my gallery for all too see! I really worked hard on this as I wanted to prove Beerzy wrong, so thanks Beerzy!

I used some different tools to usual, firstly by using alot more noise on the road created a nice effect which I really like, also dodge and burn was used almost by accident! But I love the finished result. I hope you do too!

Enjoy!

U are gettin better day after day, just look at your recent work!!!!
Those Audi shots are incredible...love the colors!!! And of course this brutal Mercedes SL65...what a shot!!!!👍

Take care people, Speed means business:)

Nice work, it feels a bit cartoon like after looking at some of the lines near the boot, but overall it is still a great shot.

Nice shot Speedy502. It is amazing how this shot looks so clean, and plus that place is close to my mom's job. I like the motion blur too.

Nice SL, those reflections are very neat. It's excessive small for me I think, but you've improved lately.

Salu2.alexwrc

Ah Thanks, I forget. I know that it is a bit too small, I minimimized the size by 50% which was too much. I will make sure that I don't do that again. Thanks for your comment.

Thanks NTX, trust you to give me confidence in my work. Glad you liked all the recent shots especially the SL. Thanks again!

I know it looks a bit cartoon like, but I was going after the sort of style Bram does with his clean up in NY. Thanks for your comment!
LdS
I love that shot, nice work
Thanks LdS!
Nice shot Speedy502. It is amazing how this shot looks so clean, and plus that place is close to my mom's job. I like the motion blur too.

Thanks Racerx510! Glad you liked the shot, I hope you will enjoy more of my work of which is too come. Thanks again!

I am now putting another update on hold while I take some other shots of black cars in NY, I seem to love black cars at the moment! Also those shots will be delayed as I am currently running Nurb 24hr's.......

Yeah, lots of people out these days on vacation or whatever.

Plus, people had already seen it on the comp thread, thus narrowing the chances of it getting comments on the gallery.

Remember there is not many people around these days.
True, true.

Also very true.

Anyway, time for a remix update! TVR&FF recently PM'ed me about a shot that would have been in a update of his if his 360 hadn't broke. He basically asked me to Remix the shot. At first I wasn't too keen but I turned round in the end. I must also say that this is a one off update and GT4 photography will return hopefully next week. I hope you enjoy the shot, TVR&FF takes credit for the orginal shot which is also shown.

EDIT: Also added new banner to promote the gallery on the first page.

Cool update, and compared to the original one, this is much better. 👍

WOW, it looks fantastic. The editted lighting is great, very realistic, and the smooth motion blur is amazingly cool as well for that photo and angle. All these modifications are simple, but well done!

I'm back, again.
Oh boy! That SL65 is just an awesome picture. The Vantage is just funny to look at, because the camera angle warps the dimensions of the car!
Regardless, the touch-ups for it intensify the shine and reflections, which makes it look fantastic. Great job once again Speedster:)👍
