me too - it shouldn't get as spread out like the last event where I wound up racing an hour against myself and the sand traps... so should be a little more eye out the front and back... I'm looking forward to some good battles regardless of final position.
will be a fun race.... I don't see many places where people are going to do 360s and wiping out more than once in the race... - so its going to be concentration and whos got the repeatable alien 1:14.900 tune vs the rest of us....
lol

but lots at stake - first dibs on cars for the Nov event!!!

I may pull over in a snow bank, lay a blanket over my lap and have some vodka for race two...
I cant even begin to imagine how bad I'm going to do in that race....

I've already found PLENTY of spots to do 360's, lucky for most everyone I should be well out of the way by then.

Ok, gentlemen.
Four days left.

So let's go over some basic stuff.
1 Car tuned
2 PS3 data backed up
3 Internet connection good
4 GT6 Cache cleared
5 PS3 browser cookies cleared.
6 Blu Ray lens cleaner used
7 PS3 Inbox messages cleaned up.
8 GT6 disc removed and wiped gently with soft cloth and beer breath.

9 Am I on tarkus1 Friend's List. Check your FR list. tarkus1 says he only has 14.
VERY important. Please make sure you have an FR in to me before about 7:30 EST tonight or all your hard work tuning and practicing will be for nothing as you will not be able to enter the race.
:gtpflag:

There are a few places on the track where attempting to pass a car is just going to slow you & the other car down. Best to stay calm & use the draft in single file until there is a real opportunity to pass cleanly. That way you'll both be closer to the next car up.👍

DS3 is charging up. Resting time now. Mallet was in physio this morning & needs to stay limber.

One more thing.... If you haven't sent an FR as of right now, please send a check or even cash to tarkus1 at 300 tarkus road, tarkus, Md. 22819 in the amount of $250USD and i'll make sure your friend request is expedited.:)

I'm all ready for this, but I think my pneumonia will harass me.
Is one (or more) of the teams engaged in pathogen warfare? Those Vodka boys had a suspicious looking flask with them while they wandered the paddock late last night?

I'd say it was the guy in the deep green Mazda...Almost looks like a car-shaped weed plant.

Relatively speaking, you guys are probably older than me.
You're 18 & in the USA? So you're not supposed to drink till you're 21? You can buy booze at 18 in the UK & in certain circumstances I think it's still legal to drink at a lower age. It wasn't very strict when I was under 18, most pubs & off licenses (liquor stores) didn't really care that much.
They're a bit tighter on it now, if you appear to be under 25 you have to show ID.
Anyway, at 33 I never have to show ID so I can be as drunk as I like for the race.

Which brings me to pit stop strategy. I think 1 pint per stop should be about right, pitting every 4 laps.

Fun set of cars to race....
Was a good clean event....
Minimal sketchyness
Very proper racing

I do have to say that I feel bad for Alex and how people couldn't see him - takes the fun out of things for him ...and equally important, how much fun the hello kitty car was going to be... I hope a future patch takes care of things online.

I will have to just vent and voice frustration in my level of enjoyment of the evening... It was my understanding some tuning of the car was possible as long as it met the PP/HP/weight restrictions.
I do use traction control as well as skid recovery as part of my tunes. Others may not but it is as important as tires or suspension in my tunes. This is why I had difficulty in the last main event - I use these tuning aids in my builds. It was not mentioned in ANY post that these were not going to be permissibe. So to spend a couple weeks getting a car dialed in and happy and working appropriately with certain tire combinations that are part of an entire race strategy - to not be allowed to race what I brought, which was 100% legal, did detract from my buzz and the event.

As is always the case here at team vodka - we have a support group in the bottle I'm about to crawl into... But for future events a complete revamp of event restrictions is required.

Enjoy the snow - as you can imagine my skid recovery was part of my tune as well...

Until we rub paint again...
