If you guys want to practice some more.
Setup a room and have at it.

Find out who your team mate is and share race strategies.

I'll probably be in alex's room tonight at 9:00 PM EST. If you want to join make sure he has your FR before he opens the room.

You could post him here in the forums. "Don't start the room before you get my FR.

Tjger has it right. Casual is casual. If somebody turns up to every race in a blatantly over performing car then who cares? Let's just have fun.
There is a case to be made for evening out the possibilities regarding performance but why bother? Let's all take what we want from these nights, if we have fun then we've achieved our goal.

Wow I wish I could get my point across in as few words as you. 👍

Ok gentlemen, here's something that been discussed at my place.

Some of the parents are trying to get their kids off of the violent games.

I told them about our get together. They want to know if there's a way to bring them in.

So in simple words. What do you guys think about S.A.C. Jr. racing?

They would start out at High Speed Ring and the Honda Fitt RS. Nothing big or long in length.

I need to be better at MYSELF being ok picking my 5th fastest 575pp car if I really wanna run it rather than caring about the results...

Noted... It's just as much my fault...

Was just trying to see different cars and versions outta the field and myself... Giving an idea for us to return to our home track every now and then...

I do like our casual night as is - but I enjoy that one special race a night or evening theme... That does make it fun... Helps me know if it's a Manhattan or Vokda night!!!!

I always start my rookies out at the HSRing when people are getting used to my sim...

One thing to keep in mind is that sometimes the slower cars aren't always easier to drive....

Usually people do better with a toned down race car actually seeing the gas is easy... The brakes are what's hard for newbies.... Find a car that actually handles and brakes good and it may be easier...

But perfect track for being able to "learn" from lap to lap

So what car do you use to introduce them GT 6?
Yeah High Speed Ring is perfect.

Could our Miata Roadster Touring Cars work?

Yes the Miata could work... I have a detuned the BMW Z4GT3 car I make all my new drivers test first at HSRing and they quite like the track and car.

Sounds like a lot of car - but handles good (with a tune you make) - which is the most important thing - keeping them on the road and braking. Always train them w/ the racing line!!!!!

The challenge is getting them out of the mindset that they are at Chucky Cheese Pizza Arcade playing Ridge Racer and getting them used to the fact that you have to go slow to go fast...

The slow road cars discourage all my newbies I find

Amazing character in each of those cars for us to see and feel - but HELL for kids that don't realize you can't take a corner at 145mph
LoL

The race cars kinda let them make the mistake of taking the corner at 145 and sorda getting away with it!!

Ok, the Z4 GT3 car.
Yeah like I said I have two Jr racers who are starting out with their copy of GT6 and the Honda Fitt.

There's no reason we couldn't have a night other than Thursday for anyone new. Spouses, Kids, and anyone else.

It will give the kids something to do besides the violent games and the outside cold.

Mallet. It could include those across the pond

Perfect.....
when I get "downgraded" and sent down to the JV Team I can run with the wives and kids....

....I will stay on mute obviously

Mrs Mallet has played GT before but became a bit discouraged after I "got good" at it which is something that can understandably leave others feeling a bit left behind & out of the picture.
This kind of thing sounds ideal for many people who may be at that level.
I doubt Mrs Mallet will return to the GT arena which, I can assure you all, is a momentous loss to the community.
Let's make sure we don't lose too many others & do what we can to support these junior events. 👍:gtplanet:👍

Thanks for hosting the practice race tonight guys! Fun as always!

Apologies if you saw my car bouncing/glitching around on the track just now - don't know whether it was PSN or my own connection being screwy tonight but it doesn't usually do this... :(
