I know we're all still debriefing from some serious fun, but I'd like to possibly inject a little more fun. I just changed my signature on the forum to have my series' website in it as a link. I'd like it if you guys checked it out because it's something I think you'd enjoy quite a lot and the new season starts this Monday at 7 PM Eastern if you can make it.

I must say u did a good job on these cars! I tested 5 of them at nrurb gp/d and all 5 cars r within a half sec of each other, nice work man! The only issue I c is that this group ur talking to doesn't like going in circles, so maybe a track change here and there might bring them in?

Penalties.
I agree with everyone.

In GT5 penalties seem more accurate at the setting: Weak.
Today and tonight if anyone wants to join me. I'm going to play around with the 'weak' setting.

For now I'm working on next week's January 8th Casual Night. Unless tarkus1 makes a quick return.

I'll be there but if you want to continue where you left off, that's fine. Looking forward to racing again with everyone. With the holidays and main events, it's been quite a while since I've been on the track.
Tjger, let me know as far as the details of the next race on the management thread. Whether you or I will host, etc.

I have an idea that might help @MRTeam come up with casual races.
On the other hand it could just make his head ache.
Here is the idea anyway, though I think we should wait for his "yay" or "nay" before bombarding him with messages..

  • We each think of a race idea & PM tjger the reg's.
  • He then chooses which ideas, if any, will be included in the agenda. So it may be that everyone has picked a race each, although we won't have a final say of course, just an idea each.
  • As it is for casual night, simplicity should probably be a key thing to remember.
  • Again for casual's sake, tjger's agenda would not be published very far in advance. Perhaps just a day or 2.
My intention here is not to start a club debate, my respect for the management system/team is unwavering.
This is just a suggestion for the big cat in case he fancies giving it a shot?

As an aside, I should be back in the game some time not long after the 11th/12th January.
 
I agree that a year into the game - we all should have cars that meets most race requirements...
so throwing an idea for a race or class of cars out there isn't going to inconvenience anyone by running a class they can't fit one of their favorites into with some light pit work.

I think tjger and other race coordinators have always been open to a member sponsored idea - so yes I'd say Tjger would probably welcome an idea here or there...

I'd say keep it more general like "we haven't done muscle cars in a while"
Or "let's do a one make with tuned CRX"

If you start saying lets do these 5 cars on racing hards, under 1175kg, and 499 pp, and penalties strong ... You know - too many restrictions I doubt would have as much pull as

"Let's do 8 laps of a one make but KEEP BOOST ON..."

Next Thursday looks great to me...

I reckon you're right about that. My thought was more of as a one off type of thing if tjger wanted a rest from coming up with race ideas.

All great ideas gentlemen. 👍 In fact this subject has been discussed plenty of times in the past. That's why I stepped down from doing the Casual Nights. ;) The only reason that I put it together for this Thursday night is I was under the impression that tarkus1 wasn't going to be back in time. ;) So sorry for the screw-up. It won't happened again.

The only reason the early heads up is so I don't have to listen to the 'I don't have that car' excuse.'
This gives everyone the chance to purchase those three cars so I don't have to hear the 'I don't have that car excuse.'

The other six races are just general PP numbers and you guys choose the cars, how you tune it, how you drive it, and what track to race on. In fact all the AIDS will be on and no restrictions.

The aliens are more confused as to what the humans will drive as much as the humans are confused as to what the aliens will drive. :scared:

This Thursday night is my last Casual Night. I'll be going to a different work schedule until March.
I've made arrangements to be off so I can host the Grand Events.

So bottom line.
There are six races where you can race anything you want.
There are three races that are thrown in for those who don't have a thumb to suck on. If you do have a thumb to suck on. You are more then welcome to suck on it and watch the race. :lol:
There is no obligation to race in those or any of the planned races.

If fact if you guys want I'll take them out.

If tarkus1 wants, there's still time to undo my mistake. 💡

Not sure if I'm nervous or excited yet:scared: I truly love my setup but I guess it's time to move on from the gt driving force. I will be passing the wheel on to my old man so he can thrash it till the end, haha.
