some of the best casual racing last night in quite some time, driving my mammoth challenger around spa to actually winning a race against mphile. the lm55 leman race jeepers oh mighty keeping that a speedway only car for now on

I'm off work today, but I normally work at 2-4am. So I woke up at 1:30 and have been watching/listening to the race all day. :D

Man these GT Academy guys are incredible! With this alien crew, next year that RJN car might have a Spinning Arrows logo on the hood.:bowdown:
 
So I read today in the 24dubai race they will have to race in like 13hrs of darkness, wow kinda crazy. Maybe u guys know this stuff already? I don't follow much of this style racing but I think I'm getting into this stuff listening to u guys talk about it. I even watched some formula1 races this past season. In my house growing up it was drag racing and nascar, so ya kinda watched and learned that stuff if ya know what I mean, lol

24 hour events almost never halt races unless there's a serious problem.
 
Formula One and if I can set some time aside. Any form of racing with right hand turns.
If you can tap into the Euro Sport Channel. Satellite service I think.

You'll see the Australian V8 Super Cars.
You'll see the DTM races in Europe.
You'll see the British Touring Car Championship.
You'll see the numerous 24 hour events.
You'll see the other great auto sports too numerous to mention here.

If you stick around. I'll try my best to recreated them to enjoy.

So not only is the Actual Daytona 24 hour race coming up at the end of the month.... but in May I'm taking off the weekend to watch the Nurburgring 24 hour. That is my Superbowl. LeMans is cool and all, but I have a hard time getting into the prototype cars.

Although as you guys pointed out... that new Nissan LMP GTR will have me tuning in for sure!

And be on the lookout for the Blancpain and World Challenge Series' coming back. 2015 is going to be an amazing year for motorsports.

Speaking of tunes-Nobody's tried the GT-R one I did.

I've never really been all that into motorsport before but I've become a fan of the existence of endurance races & such like through my interest in gran turismo.
I've been loving that there is a thread on here for the Dubai 24 Hr, & just to clear up I will also say that,

did not mean that I was actually "diss'ing" anybody, I was just managing to avoid all of the after work parties as best as I could because I've done it all before. The director came back tonight to see how we'd all been doing & we had our own "after party" (cocktail night).

I feel very often that this thread has been hijacked by our own personal chit-chat & I know I've been just as bad as everyone else with this kind of talk.
In some ways I think I'm just trying to say that I really miss being able to turn up every week.

i actually watch some of the blancpain series last year with nismo livestreaming it on youtube (24 hours of SPA) and they did commentary as well. And abu dhabi is a great track to drive ive played it in the F1 2014 and 2012 maybe one of the best track internationally

so I have a long time buddy that flew up from TX to take delivery of a 99k 2015k land rover...
(something shady going on probably - it was a don't ask don't tell deal for sure... prob will end up in China or something... long wheel base v6 - super rare - in china they are taxed on engine size - so it was something sketchy probably and probably will wind up overseas)
But while I'm waiting for my buddy to do the paperwork the sales guy comes over and we wind up talking about some of the new Jag F-types that were there (sick hot by the way)
and I said, man you look familiar... How might I know you...
Turns out its former AWA wrestling superstar Greg Gagne!!!
We wound up talking for 20 minutes about wrestling stories and how he and Andre the Giant and Rick Flair would all get bombed before during and after matches and he told me maybe 6-7 different stories...
He said he saw Andre the Giant drink 144 beers one night....

Unsolicited he whipped this up for me!!! (I guess when you're a former celeb and now you're selling Range Rovers to rich house wives in Minnetonka Minnesota I guess you have to give them away...)
