Team Vodka Official Press Release:
I as well will be unable to attend tomorrow...
Apparently I have been racing a bit too much according to the urgent care gal.
I've been waking up in the morning and the last 3 fingers on my left hand were locking up at the joint and basically popping and snapping open when I'd extend my fingers rather than just opening smoothly...
So I went in to make sure it wasn't drinking related so I could still drink...
I've been diagnosed with "trigger finger"
Basically the extended activity of me gripping the wheel too much for extended periods of time may have caused it...
??
Regardless - until it "rests" - I'm out of commission for races of any length -- I'm hoping casual racing with breaks etc wont be an issue... but I've been told that unless I rest it - I could have to wear like a hand brace to force rest it...
whatever...
Regardless that's my story and I hope someone is happy they get a pit for the big dance due to my drop out.

Sorry for the last minute bail out...

Gotta take care of my hands... I'm not flexible enough to drink with my feet.

enjoy boys...

That's really too bad Ole, I was hoping to see you out there tomorrow night helping the rest of us fend off this Lexus cult. As long as no one takes the spot you should come and spectate, should be a great race.

In other news I thought I'd drop this bombshell

1:39.937 boom

Well I'm starting feel bad about all this talk of drivers dropping out.
I didn't expect you guys to kill yourself trying to get that ultimate lap.
Anything can happen in a race and usually does.

After tomorrow I'm going to reevaluate the remaining races.
Several proposals include:
No more teams
No more muliti-cars races. One make only.
No more tuning allowed.
No more laps or time greater than 20 minutes/laps.

Team SG is pleased to announce a new member of the pit crew for the Tokyo Endurance.

In addition to providing mid-race meals, the new pit member will load the vehicle with a precise amount of sea bass for ballast. Competing drivers need to be aware of the smell and slick surface left behind the Cusco Impreza.

I personally am okay with all these things, I LOVE multi-car races, I don't like seeing all of the same car out on the track unless it's a really slow car like the Honda Fit for example.

I could go either way on no tuning, I understand just as well as you how hard it can be to get a set of cars to do the same sort of times without one of them being blow you away fast. It is really nice being able to tune though because some cars do just like absolute 🤬 and that's kind of the end of it.

Reducing the race times to just 20 minutes or laps kind of takes away the whole grandeur of your events, my race series in my signature is based around 20 minute races and it doesn't have the greatest attendance, then again you have a much bigger following than I do.

The only thing I kind of have a bit of a beef with is the whole team thing. I tried at first to run my series as a team race and that blew up in me face pretty much, so I've been a bit put off by it ever since. I wouldn't mind a team race so long as in the plan for the event it says that we're doing a team race and how many guys are allowed to be teamed up. What kind of rips me is on an event like the one we're about to run, guys get into this big team all on one car and plan to just blow away the entire field. While it's fun for the people beating the pants off everyone else, it's not fun for the rest of the field racing behind them knowing there's nothing they can do except hope for a pileup.

I know it sounds like I'm calling out the Lexus guys, and I guess am a little. I wanted to practice with other people tonight and only 2 guys showed up (thank you for doing so). Meanwhile the Lexus guys are in a private club room all to themselves planning the finishing order of the race for all I know. I asked nicely to get in and the answer was, no Lexus only, pretty much, it was more polite than that however that was the underlying message. I could understand that if this was meant to be a team race but nowhere did I see anything to suggest that it is. As I said before I wouldn't mind team races if it's gonna be a team race, but all this running around in the shadows and tuning behind closed doors leads me to believe there's this greater plan for the race than to just race hard and have fun. That's what I'm really here for, hard and fun racing, much as I like you guys I like racing you more, that's the real fun for me. Not to plug my series or anything, but we've had poor attendance lately, 6 and 5 guys in the last 2 consecutive weeks, but the racing couldn't be any better. 5 of the last 6 would be great races for Manny to throw on youtube, they were such fun races, and I haven't won a single race yet of those 6. I just don't want guys doing something to take away from the racing because it's what I'm here for and really live for, I don't speak for anyone else but I'm sure there are some guys here that feel the same way about this.

I hope this doesn't get blown up to something it isn't. We were all running the same car, so we started to tune together and practice together when we could. Team Lexus is all in fun, and should not be taking any other way. On race day we all are out there to win. I think everyone in SAC is out there to help one another and I've seen plenty of that the last couple of weeks. Mphile helping me, Ole, mscinnis and I'm sure others. I saw ehteam helping people also. That is what its about. I've had a personal club room for myself to practice in peace. I did open it up to the guys who had Lexus. That room will be shut down. I'm sorry if someone's feelings were hurt. That was not the intention.

I wasn't looking to chastise any one specific person here, or chastise anyone at all really. It's just the whole thing put together plus the glass I've seen it through that made it look that way to me. Calling it Team Lexus, having closed practices, the one time Tiger and I were messing around and he was trying to slow me down so a pack could catch up to me (and I do still know you were kidding around), people committing to the car way far in advance, it all just made it look a certain way to me. I'm all for being able to practice alone too, I usually pick up the most time that way, but if anyone's practicing in a group I'd say let everyone have at it so we can all have the opportunity to hear what advice or tunes may be given out by someone who wants to share. I wouldn't want you to kibosh your practice room over this, it's the whole using it exclusively for Team Lexus that makes me a bit suspicious. No disrespect meant to anyone here at all, I just want to see that everything is being kept on a level playing field as much as anyone else.

Trust me, I'm not looking to stir any pots around here.

Less than 24 hours and someone will be lying in bed knowing they took home the trophy, and they will sure have worked for it. Here's hoping it's me, but by the same token good luck to you all, may the best man win

@jr4737 and @Ole
I'm so sorry to learn about your non-attendance at the event today... :(
I'm even not that well today (🤬 blood pressure) and I'll stay at home. Hope all will be OK tonight, but I certainly won't take part to the Senna event... :ill:

You guys are some of those I had soooo pretty battles with since a cup of races. And I hoped, I could show you how much I've learned in the meantime at my very first enduro race... :mischievous:

Ole, thank you for teaching me fair driving by proper pushing. I really hope you get well again very, very soon!!!

Mazda, thank you for advising and helping me to setup my gear box. Honestly, I didn't understand the reason you're missing, but I also really hope this is not a matter of serious issue and that you'll be very soon back...

I'll miss you friends! Take care of you and CU as soon as possible back on the track!!!

:cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers:

hey EH_Team my friend, I can sense your frustration but after reading both of your posts I think there's something I have to clear up in here:

First of all, I am sorry that you cannot get into the room, but this is not what we meant to be that we are rejecting other friends into the room, but what happen is, when there is a race going on in the club room, other people cannot get in. And what happen is we always do race simulation in the room, once we started the race, others can't get it. It happened to me couple weeks ago when I was trying to get into the BAD room to join Mazda, I couldn't get in until he finished his practice race.

Secondly, the biggest issue you brought up here: "Team". I have to be honest with you and probably some other people in here if they feel the same as you. It is true we call ourselves "Team Lexus", but purely as a joking gesture.

We just happened to drive the same car in this event, Lexus. And we realized we are driving the same car, then we started talking to each other thus we can share our thought of the car, setup and stuffs like that.

In fact, it never says it is or it is not a team race. And there's no restriction on letting the people who is driving the same car get together and practice.

There can be so-called "Team Lexus", and there can be "Team Mazda", or "Team Subaru".

We all have the freedom to get together and practice together.

In fact, have we not practice in the public room?? We did.

Let me show you the driver list from yesterday:

IS350 - tjger
IS350 -alexmavis
IS350 -BR1MANN
IS350 -mphile77
IS350 -xX2MannYhAvitZXx

Rx-7 -PTK_68
Rx-7 -LR_LR_BASTARD
Rx-7 - mazda3pro
Rx-7 - M_Mallet_Jr
Rx-7 - FAN_Lawless
Rx-7 or Garaiya - simalive

BRZ/Garaiya/Rx7?? - The_EH_Team_43
BRZ - rmts_kingdom
BRZ - griff_theo

Impreza - smcinnis

We have 5 guys driving the IS350, another 5 driving the Rx7, possible up to 7, depending on EHTeam and simalive.

Yup the five Lexus drivers get together, but how about the other Rx7 drivers?? or the BRZ drivers?

we've never said you cannot get together, it is your choice to decide whether you want to gather with the other drivers who drive the same car to do some particular testing and share the setup.

It is up to you to do it, nobody restrict you from doing it, it's 100% your choice to reach out the other drivers.

What we are trying to do, is just to get a better result and trying to help each other out, we are on the same boat thus why don't we just work together.

Also, if you are saying we are talking about winning the race, come on buddy, we know EH_Team you are the fastest guy in here, you just posted a 1:39.xxx which is a time that we are not even close.

Will we win the race?? I don't know, but I can only say we prepare the race as a group just only because we are driving the same car.

Just check back couple pages and you will see a post from smcinnis saying Mphile helped him setup his Impreza. If we are as selfish as you think, why would Mphile do that?

The point is, right now you are saying the Lexus guys are doing an inner-circle thing and make it sounds like we are fixing the race.

I just want to clear things up with you, we setup a room and test together because we drive the same car, and all other drivers can do the same thing, if anyone drive a Rx7, feel free to call up others who drive the same car and test together, you all have the freedom/option to do that.

But when you have chosen not to do that, then please, don't complain others who has taken the opputunity.

If we have to be selfish or inner-circle style, Mphile wouldn't setup that 2 X 10 laps warm-up race last Sunday and open the room to everyone, I wouldn't race with you last Thursday at the causal, right?

I hope you undstand my explanation, if you feel frustrated, I can say we didn't mean to do that.

I think I've said enough and I'm gonna stop here, but all in all, we just want to have fun.

:cheers::cheers:

Woooow Alex, very nice explanation! Fair and gentle... 👍

I wasn't aware about this "Team" concept (kidding or not...) and I created my own room (after being advised by Tjger) for practicing until I got an invitation from @S_Bridge for joining into his room and training together (note that we drove different cars). Mazda joined us and was soooo kind to analyze my driving and suggest to adapt my gear-box. I was so pleasantly surprised and though: "What a nice gesture!!!".
Fact is that this advice worked very fine and I could improve my driving! 👍 Thanx again dear Mazda!

I wish I can win that much experience, that I may as well help someone one day...

BTW, how the hell did you find out which car I'm driving??? :D :D :D

I was driving the BRZ on Monday & my fastest lap with it is almost a second faster than my best time in the RX-7.

I will however be driving the RX-7 for the race tonight. I still need more practice to be anything like consistent so there will be a room open for that at some point later today. I also need to finalise my thoughts for pit stop strategy & might even run a full 50 lap simulation. As always, the room will be open to you all.

The F3 races are also very appealing but depending on the time of night, I may have to duck out after the GT300.

An official Team Bridge statement with accompanying press photography is expected later in the day.

R u kidding me? Ive helped and practiced with most of this group? Because i choose to be in a private tune group for long practice runs is my choice. I dont want to be bothered or interupted while doing this. When just running basic practice ive been out for all to c, not my fault u cant make it those days? The team thing is a total joke just messing with u guys, pull ur big girl pants up show up and have fun. If ur not having fun ur fault buddy? Also coming from the guy who is almost 1sec faster than everyone else, come on man? You sound silly bro. When i got in ur room last night did i not tell u and show u tire wear on my car? Did i have to? Nope but i did because im a team player, check ur facts before u spread and start an issue. Hope ur not to but hurt but im trying to be nice here, trust me its hard!
