I messed up and I'm sorry. I'm putting that in the biggest possible text to really emphasize it, I admit I sometimes take things out of the context they're meant to be taken in and this was one of them. I'm sorry for the hurt feelings and possible insulting that may have seemed as though it was. I was getting frustrated that my times weren't as good as the guys with the Lexuses, then last night I put my head down and got it all figured out and in a feat of stupidity and slight rage posted the post I did. I extend my sincerest of apologies to you guys for being a total meathead, I really do like you all here and I just want to be a regular dude that's part of the group. With that I hold myself to a high standard of speed and race quality because all of you here are really quite good and better than that. So again, I'm truly sorry I took this where it didn't deserve to go especially since it's all in jest and good fun.

you did a 1:39.9xx and you said you were not as fast as the Lexus guys....??

unless Mphile did a faster one and did't tell us.....

or.... you were drunk when you make those posts last night.....

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

hey buddy, it's all good, let's have fun tonight.:cheers::cheers:

I don't think anyone is probably taking things as seriously as it sounds...
It's all good brothers...
People are probably just reading stuff a little too pointedly...

I love that I'm horrible at golf... I love to play... But I suck... When I golf I never get mad about shooting a high score or getting a 6 on a par4... Hahaha
Yet I'm really competitive still - I just have to give myself a handicap.. I know my goals and I still play.

In gt6 Im competitive to a point - but not to a level where it's seen maybe - but I high five myself after a well fought 8th place... It's all about running the best with what you're given...

Sometimes I think we all are SO competitive - which is great!!!
But at the end of the day - racers in real life are seldom given the best car, luck, focus, excitement, pit crew... At the end of the day...
If you're a respectable SAC driver you don't need a podium to prove it...

I golf and take my 6s when I can an hope for <100...
I'll race and try to gain respect...

Does it feel unfair when I can't shoot par - sorda
Does it feel unfair when I know I can't win because I've been given a car that's off the pace - yeah that's no fun...

I do feel we all do a good job of helping - but like mphile said - you'll see me in rooms all the time where I've limited it to 2 people - that means I am just doing my thing - it's not cause I hate you bstards.

When I race I know that anything could happen, and as long as I put the prep work in and drive as best as I can - I can say well done to myself - maybe it's just being the fastest in my car group or in my human / alien group...

I play poker quite a bit and you can do the right thing and have all the prep and experience in the world and know what you're doing and still not be given the best cards...
Play correctly
Drive correctly
And at the end of the event you will be better off than those less prepared... And you may still win...

Let's all just drive!!
(Except me I'm an old cripple)

I should see if I can get a handicap parking spot pass....

Just have fun tonight, we need to get u drunk, lol

Tried the whole drunk thing once, it went about as well as the post that started this whole thing haha. Maybe some espresso shots, I'm curious what driving all twitchy would be like.

you did a 1:39.9xx and you said you were not as fast as the Lexus guys....??

Before last night I was barely touching 1:40.9 with the random 1:40.6 or 7 thrown in. So then I went and tuned it all out, after that time got laid down I made my post to spite what I thought was the whole team thing, which was a stupid thing to do as we all found out.

I got a physics test to go write and some other classes to attend, but I'll be back around 4 starting my equipment check. I hope to hell and back we don't repeat daytona's issues.

En team can not find any drink cause I drink it all

Trust me, we have very nice people in here.
those quick match guys online were Fukking animals. they want to kill you, they want to take you out whatever they can

Well I guess if everyone is pulling 1:40s, I guess I better pack some snacks in my car so I have something to do at the back of the pack, my best is 1:43.3 :lol:
You never know what place you finish until the race over
I see some people use RM tires beat the RS
I see some people on 1st and 2nd place run out the fuel before the finish line and end up 4 and 5
Anything can happen during the race

It's amazing how the tone has changed. Just six hours ago the ruling officials at the track imposed
a ban on:
Mazda Performance. Technical Issues with the car or Holiday conflict
Team Vodka. Over extended drivers physical limitations
Polar Bear Motorsports. UnSportsman like conduct

Track officials were ready to hand out participation restrictions for three additional races for:
Mazda Performance and Team Vodka. An additional six race suspension for Polar Bear Motorsports.

I still am unclear as to what just happened.
I'm going try and blame it on pre-race stress.

So at this moment. 11:30 AM EST the ban is still in place for all three teams.
I have a meeting to attend. Hopefully I can sift through all posts. We will see what happens.

In the real world of racing. This would not be allowed.

:gtpflag:Alright Gentlemen:gtpflag:

The meeting is over
The decisions on the three teams has been decided

Mazda Performance:
The 'Ban' restriction will remain in place.
This is to allow Jerryman692 to join the room
Once the race is over, the restriction will be lifted

Polar Bear Motorsports:
The 'Ban' will be lifted.
Their driver can join if so desired

Team Vodka:

The 'Ban' will remain in place
Health issues on the race track.
There's no reason to force an injury further

There is one slot left.
A mystery driver has expressed interest in racing.

It's first come first join.

Now in the future, I don't want to hear/read what's happened in the past few hours.
I can only host 15 drivers. That's the only reason for this shakeup.
If I could host more drivers....

If you've got a concern, take it offline or buy a punching bag.

I would like to just re-up the better things I had said, mostly about the grandeur of the events. I realize you're a pretty laid back guy and stuff, I think that's why your endurance races are so much fun. As much as I'd like to try the GTPlanet version of WEC, there's a heck of a lot of rules to follow and protocols during the race and that's the difference here. We just race for the most part, when we're not it's because we're trying to accomodate someone's terrible luck with the servers that day. Back to the length though, that's what makes the races so great, you have to have the stamina to last 2 or so hours at the wheel straight up. Also when you crash there's no caution to save you and you have to get back into your rhythm right away or your situation can only get worse, so it's laid back and hardcore at the same time. So I'm behind you on whatever your decision is but I'd prefer to see the long races stay because they are a true test of skill, consistency, and stamina.

Edit: yes my class right now is so truly boring that I'm posting.

take it easy buddy, don't stress yourself too much for tonight race, i can feel the pressure you're giving to yourself too.

winning or losing is only a small part of a race, the whole process is the biggest portion.

Imagine somebody coming along & telling you, "There's a games console called the SuperPlayBox. On there, there's a game called Fast Drivers. We're going to say you won a car race on that. You can't have a SuperPlayBox or ever look at one though."

Now imagine there is a game you really enjoy playing, on a console you own. You get to play this game for hours and hours and hours. It takes up some of your thoughts for a portion of every day & gives you loads of satisfaction.

Which scenario sounds more desirable? For me it's the 2nd one. It didn't mention winning or losing but it didn't make a difference.

This isn't specifically aimed at recent events, I think they've blown over quite satisfactorily.
It's just something I thought of. I've had a month of fun just by knowing this one race was coming up. That cannot change whether I come 1st (yeah right) or last or anywhere in between.

Jeeez, and I was thinking about adding more races this year.
I'm going to apologize to everyone for using the word 'Ban.'

Now let me explain why the word.

Again, I can only host 15 drivers. If someone wants to race in a race. Go to the Community site and sign-up. Nothing wrong with that. Please don't come on here and say you're not racing, but still stay sign-up. If that is your decision, do the gentlemen thing and go to the site and withdraw. Free up your slot for some else to use.

The word 'Ban' is used in the Community Lobby in an effort to control drivers who just can't figure it out.

Restricted, The NASCAR trailer, and other words mean the same thing. PD chose the word Ban not me.

Maybe after the race everyone will receive homework. 💡 Tonight's lesson: Create a Community Lobby Race.

The only problem with that is first you have create a club. So two lessons to learn.
