Just wanted to apologize to my little merc that could. I felt my car was off the pace going into this race. I was 2 sec off alex and 1sec off eh team, but for 5 laps i pushed it as hard as i could and with a little draft i was battling with all my might! Then came my stupidity, alex im sorry for the 2 bumps in the chicane 2 laps in a row!i felt terrible thinking i killed ur chances. Eh team blew our doors in and was gone. That ford had a set of nutz tonight to battle back like that! Great job! Now eh team, im super proud of u because i didnt here u wreck at all, u said last night u felt that would happen and I didn't c it, great job controlling that twitchy beast all night! Everyone else great jo! Ob im nicknaming u blocker boy, i would have pushed u off track if i was manny. Not cool bro!

Eh ah... Crap, how do I put this?

I'm sorry to disappoint you... No that won't work.

You thought wrong, no that's just worse.

Okay I'll just say it, I did. Once. But it cost me my entire precious 5 point whatever second lead. In fairness it wasn't the car to blame, I got a bit greedy up in the top section, where the car was awesome by the way so it makes it more stupid, and put a wheel just too far over a curb and it spun ne into the inside wall. Fortunately I got it back together before alex came literally roaring up behind me, but I think that set him on a roll from there on out. So yeah it wasn't this beastly thing that did it, I did, the car did good and I'm proud of it.

God I love my cars, they're like family to me.

Also thanks to @MRTeam for the plug, I'd like to post it in the clubs area here but there's just too much stuff for that in the forum pages. I also tried it a couple times before but never really got any replies. Maybe I can integrate it with this club a little more because it is a lot of fun, but there just need to be more people attending.

We'll figure out a way to make it work in this forum or another. 👍

Maybe just a little bit, but hey it's all in good fun. Heck, roast me if you want, just don't talk about my cars. They're very carefully chosen and tuned, and as we've already established I love them too. So anything but the cars, GO!
Your comment gives me the chills.

You guys do rib me for having the washing machine around.

I'n actually working to replace it with a weird car that's 33 years older than it.

I think on here it's a bit the opposite of real life culture, the more of them you love the more accepted it is whereas if you love one person in real life you'll be more accepted than the crazy african or middle eastern dude that has like 10 wives. So yes in the world of cars I am very polygamous, verrrry polygamous haha.

:gtpflag:Alright for me:gtpflag:

Kudos go to:
Manny, for sweating all over my windshield on the last corner of the race causing me to crash.

Arveena for joining late and putting on a great race. ;)

Patrick. Taking the courage to drive an old Dodge and earning the respect it deserves.
He was involved in some of the great battles that I witnessed.

...You missed it lol

A roast is public teasing of a person by a group.

lol... i know.. but doesn't want to make it sounds like you got bullied... hahaaa

"it's a joke".... we, the group, just joking with you....

anyway, on a serious note, next time when you see someone is coming up on you who is one lap ahead, regardless their position, as long as they are lapping you, you HAVE to lift the throttle to slow down and let them have a clean pass, then you resume your regular pace.

what you did tonight, if that happens in real world racing, could cause you a drive thru penalty or even a black flag, because you did cause the faster car an accident.

you might ask, "what if I am battling position with another driver(s) when being lapped?"

answer:

the group that is being lapped have to slow down for the faster driver(s) and let them pass first, then the lapped group can resume their pace afterward.

good luck next time.

What a night!!! :cheers::cheers::cheers:

to be honest, I cannot be happier, pole, fastest lap, won the race. ya man!! :D

the most importantly, I had some greatest battle ever with you guys..!!!

The first 8 laps of the race was intense, did a good start and had a 1sec lead over EH and Mphile, but because I took extra caution on the last chicane, EH and Mphile caught up on me quickly.

And I have to say, EH's Z4 is :scared::scared::scared: fast..!!! Passed me on the Kimmel Straight couple of times, I was :scared:..!!!

Regarding the bumps from Mphile, don't worry about it man, it's all good, the Ford is very unstable @ the chicane, thus I have to brake quite a bit earlier than you guys, plus I don't want to take risk of spinning out, thus rather take it slow than risky. Those bumps didn't cost me anything, really, don't worry about it. I overshoot the 1st turn on lap(7?) thus you took the inside. But I thank you very much for your gesture @ the back straight before the chicane.

Lap 14 to 17 was the highlight of my race, I bet that's also for EH, great battle in the darkness while can't see a damn thing, side by side through many twisties, it was just great!!! We exchanged positions couple times, side by side but still just give enough room to each other, 👍👍 buddy!!

another interesting thing was about the pit stops, I always thought the race were 2-stops, since it's 90mins instead of 120mins, thus my plan was a 2 stops.

Then at the start while we were waiting for the red goes off I saw "3 stops", :scared::scared:.

Basically the first 10 laps I was driving, fighting with EH and Mphile... AND calculating a new pit-strategy and re-fuel.

Lastly, BIG thanks to Tjger again, to put up such a great event!!!:bowdown:

:bowdown::bowdown::bowdown: to SAC!!!!!

[Short break at work]

Hi Guys! Now it’s my turn to say something about the great event at Spa…

I was total in panic due to the PD bug, but all worked fine. :scared:

I had a good start and came very soon to the 4th place. Unfortunately I made a mistake outgoing the “Blanchimont curve #17”, came over the curb, began to spin and lost the control (I can still remember the guys screaming…). For sure the tires were still too cold. Damn, what a stupid mistake!... :dunce:

One more mistake at my second pit-stop. I gas up one liter too little and came out of gas after the “Curve Paul Frère #15”. I can remember Tjger overtaking me… :odd:

I got two times 3sec. penalties as I tried to overtake Mazda and missed my brake point and in the very last chicane, as Tjger stood suddenly across the track. I totally missed my brake point while I tried to avoid the crash with him, but could anyway get back on the track and finished tight in front of Tjger. Too bad Tjger but however, what a finish!!!

Whatever happened, I’m really totally satisfied with my performance. Because for me, it has been a very, very, very successful event. Lots of battles by defending my place or by chasing some guys… Strong battles and thereby always fair!!! What a great pleasure!!!

Thanks a lot to you all guys!!!

I’ve got a special thank to @mphile77 for his support concerning my car setup. You’re a fine guy!!! 👍

And an extra very special thank to @MRTeam for coaching, patiently advising and first of all for trusting me and giving me the opportunity to be part of his team. Thank you very much Tjger!!!:bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:

Now, let’s go to Suzuka!... :D

Race was great. But why did you change the rule regarding Tyre switching i found it a lot more fun with different Tyres and because of the different Strategys there are more Battles. And why 3 Stops?:confused:
I wanted to do 2 which is easily possible but i noticed after the second stop that i need to pit again. Tyres werent even used when i switched them.
Also I think the Suzuka Race needs some BOP tweaking. I tested a lot for Daytona and i drove all cars. They are pretty much balanced as far as the gt3 goes and the Vette.
Some are faster on the straights some faster in slow turns some faster in fast turns. The Audi is was probably the worst in Daytona because he doesnt like slow turns. The Ford was the fastest in Daytona but only by 2tenth for me which is fine you will never get so many cars to be exactly equal.
In Spa it was way more than a second for me. But why that? Its because the Fords biggest strenght are fast turns and i think Suzuka has a lot of them. Because it is a different type of car its not a gt3 car it is an GT original car. There is a gt3 Ford GT in Real life but its not the one in the game.
All the other cars i think are in 1 second Merc Audi BMW Vette and Viper. Which is amazing.👍
But i can understand that everyone wants to drive their car. And i also want to drive a german car not that American crap:lol::lol:
But you could give the winning car or driver the top 3 cars some sort of penalty for the next race.
For example:

First place -15hp
Second place -10hp
Third place -5hp

So you get a closer field and the cars are balancing themself just by performance.
You can do it with Driver or the Car. Maybe with smaler Numbers i dont know. But it is a fact that the Ford GT is not a gt3 car. The same as the Pagani was wrong in the Lemans Race.

Spa-Franco champs is a huge track. It's not hard for the leaders to run off and leave everyone behind.
So to keep the race exciting with battles throughout the field. Three stops was perfect. Everyone had an opportunity to experience the thrills and excitement of passing each other. Even if it was during pit stops. Just as in Formula One traffic is a concern. Timing your pit stops correctly is always important in an endurance race. Watch the replay this weekend.

Tire compound. 3 stops and tire compound change would have been a mess. If the race length would half been 2 hours, yes.

As far as HP reduction for the winning cars. No. PD picked the numbers in their Quick match races. The winning Ford GT was driven by a faster driver. A driver who put in roughly 50 PLUS hours of practice.   The Corvettes were faster in testing than the Vipers. Any car can be fast in the right hands.

It's not the car that makes you a winner. It's how you drive that car that makes you a winner.

This group of racers are made up of DS3-D pad drivers, DS3-Analog stick drivers, DFGT wheel drivers, T300 wheel drivers, T500 wheel drivers. Manual and Automatic drivers. Young and old. Alien, Human, and Animal.

Suzuka will a two hour race. Driver fatigue will be more important.
Mt Panorama will have DRS zones enabled.

You will be fine. Think back to Lemans 2014. You put in a lot of hours testing and practicing. 👍

28 days until Suzuka.

DRS - Drag Reduction System

In formula one there is a DRS zone where the cars are allowed to use this system which adjusts the rear wing effectively reducing the drag on the car and giving the car an edge in speed. This zone is a marked area and is the only area where the DRS can be used. Also i believe you have to be within 1 second of the car infront of you to use it (someone with more F1 knowledge can correct me on this)

You are right of course. The best driver with the most Preparation has won the Race.
The only thing you are missing is that there is no Ford GT in the the Quickmatches that is what i am saying. Its not even a GT3 car in this game.
It was a nice race and experince and of course the best driver did win. But the numbers are off the car is 1.5 to 2 seconds faster i spoke with a lot of people and everyone who tried it can tell you the ford is faster.
When you do 2:17 with your car you will do 2:15 or 2:16 with that car.
I only mentioned the Tyre Change because it was a Rulechange an Team_Eh got it wrong and i also did not know it but that was because i jumped in so late.
I like it but Pit Stop Strategy is also something i am bad at.

Of course I am fine I was very happy with both races. But it just bugs me. As you remember I actually did not drive the Pagani in Le Mans it was way too fast. The same as mphile and i did at daytona with the Ford GT.
Its just a different class of cars the Pagani was more of an LMP than an GT3 same goes now for the ford. Just compare the Audi and the Ford. Both MR and both should be equal and the Ford is faster and waaaay easier to drive.
