Just throwing this out there. The agenda for this coming week is not set so now would be the time to start throwing out some ideas. I'm always open to cool ideas and last week I thought we had some very good races. Unfortunately, they were mostly not MY ideas. I'm still thinking inside the box.

Here's a not so outside the box idea but it could be interesting. German car German track, American car American track catch the drift a little bit (example below)

American car at #PP at willow/indy/daytona
Italian car at #pp at monza
German car at#pp at nurberg
Japan car at #PP at suzuka/fuji/twin ring

I think it may only work for like 6-7 country's but we would see a wider variety of cars

Or dirty nascar at SSX with full B/S
Overweight class all cars must be certain minunium weight 1200kg (example)
Or a bunch of 450-500pp races at le man, nurburgring, spa

Okay I'm out of ideas back to cooking dinner Fiesta style pasta, (shells with beef and rice top with 2 cups of parm cheese 1 cup shredded taco cheese and a scoop of sour cream on top

tried out the S2000 @ Midfield last night... :)

most of the part is very straight forward until the last sector... gosh.... gotta make it right... I mean, gotta make everything right: chassis setup, approach, braking and turn-in... :dunce:

cos it can make 0.5s of a difference on the laptime.... :scared:

Did anyone try the GT300 yet

Will this be set to "tuning prohibited" or can we mess with things that don't increase the power?

tried the Impreza last night, it's a pretty boring car... lol...

need some aggressive setup on the rear to get rid of that understeering...

the fun part is finding the proper apex on some corners @ Motegi, lots of them are quite "blind"

I just hope I can get that s2000 dialed in. I've never been able to get that thing under control for long periods at a time.

ya... it's gonna be a challenge to you cos you have to drive it in reverse....

and it's gonna take you a while to get used to it cos there's gonna be nothing in your mirror....

anyway... on a serious note, the S2000 is easier to drive than expected, as my earlier post says, try to get the car dial-in on the last sector is a bit tricky, though.

Maybe easier to drive for you. You're not from these parts. My understanding of outer space is pretty limited but I'm pretty sure it's a fact that aliens make better S2000 drivers than humans. I think it has something to do with Honda's exports or something like that but I'm pretty sure I'm correct.

I thought Honda was based on Pluto.

I'm sure that they'll move to the new planet when it's confirmed.
i think @Squatch7 just got a new home there.

For anyone that will be racing tomorrow night during the usual casual races, please make sure MAZDA3pro is on your friends list as he will start the hosting duties once again. I will most likely be a wee bit late.
Agenda will be posted shortly.

I very well may be but wanted to make sure we were covered just in case. Just make sure YOU'RE there and don't give me that "I have to work crap". I ordered my BBQ pork months ago and I'm getting quite hungry!!!!!!

BTW - the agenda for tomorrow night is now posted.

i can 300% guarantee you I am in for tomorrow!!!

regarding the bbq pork, i can safely pass that duty to Squatch!!! LOL!!

I hope everyone had some great racing last night even though I wasn't there to wipe the floor with you all.:)
Thanks again to Mazda for his hosting duties while I'm not available. It was just an incredibly long day for me and I fell asleep almost immediately after sending you guys that message on PSN.

I'm hoping to get to the main event. I'm terrible at Motegi & not great with 4WD so I ran laps for 45 minutes earlier today & improved by 4 seconds per lap over the course of it. I have just enough time now to do the same again (edit: run the laps, I mean. Another 4s improvement isn't going to happen). Is anyone else on?

Also edit: This car can be used in the current Beginner Level Seasonal Event Race. It's a 2 lap race that pays over 400,000 credits for an easy win, with 5 day login bonus. So for a quick test or practice it's worth collecting some money while you're on. 👍

C'mon people... last post was Wed 8:46pm..... :)

42 straight dead hours in here?? :scared:
Yes folks. More exchange of information would be valuable right now.

Also, I know I've been the one to try to help with cracking down on unnecessary double posts in the past but this one is legitimate. The staff/emeritii have suggested that adding proper new information after 24 hours or more is worthy of a new post. I do have proper new information to add to the discussion. 👍

Race 1 - S2000? Somewhere?
I've not really looked at this at all yet.

Race 2 - Impreza GT300 at Motegi
It's a 4WD at a track that I don't know well at all so I think I need to do some work.
My first impression of the car is the understeer!!

I've tried just removing all the downforce & shifting all the torque distribution to the rear. Straight away, miraculously, the car rotates in the corners & feels ok all of a sudden.
I feel happy with the car but I suspect that if I try other methods of achieving rotation it might lap faster than the current setup.

The time available for testing is a factor here.

I am wondering about moving the torque distribution, brake bias, lsd, suspension, front DF, to affect the point at which the rotation occurs & maybe the amount of power available to pushing the car forward on exit.

Unless there is anybody else whose lap times will be similar to mine as I stand now? In which case I'll be happy to race against that person & see who can be most consistent.

If I don't test or practice any further, I'll start at 1:58 on new tyres & improve to 1:56 with slippier tyres (edit: & lighter fuel load) later on in the race.

Is anyone else going to be a similar pace or do I need to do more homework?
