and then you will start trying to make us talk and laugh on lap 3 or 4......
I enjoy chatting away to tarkus in the main events while everyone else is trying to concentrate & Mazda sounds like he's having a wrestling match with his steering wheel.

Last night was a quietly fun race eh team didn't overdrive it like he did at Sebring but drove right on the edge and was able to pull away. The time difference on tires was huge having to take that 3rd stop in went from 40 seconds behind down to 24 in 5 laps which if I stayed out Alex would have probably passed me.
Next week weather Mazda or ehteam runs the show maybe open it up to the public see if we get any newcomers, looked like their were quite a few open rooms last night after we had finished running normal stuff.
Well off to switch out my defect ps4 for a new one 2 more days and I would of been screwed

I could do better in the qualify but a mis-shift on the last corner means I almost have a spin-out thus lost almost 1s.

Anyway, in the race I was too far away from you and EH_Team, especially EH_Team, he never show his real speed until the race, thus on the last stint I just cruise and lost concentration too.

Of cos I would always like to finish the race in a higher position unless if I win it, but with the performance from you and EH_Team, I think 3rd is good enough for me.

I generally consider it a victory for myself if you & Mazda don't lap me on a main event or if EhTeam & Gordon only lap me once.

Edit: & I aim specifically to beat tarkus. He can be fast but he never seems to get enough time to practice so that gives me a chance.

Will you race on coming Casual night

I'm going to be off the radar for another month or so. My daughter's softball (and mine, coach!) games are Thursdays, so I'm not home from 5-8ish. I'll try and catch at least one race one of these Thursdays!

hey guys... unfortunately I wont be able to make the rest of the JGTC races....will be out at those times each race. So if there was anyone else interested they could take my car:tup::)

I'll be the one hosting tonight, and we're going to open it up to the public so it may get a bit crazy. I have a couple of race ideas in mind but no set schedule, I'll be taking suggestions throughout the night from both first and last place finishers.

I will also have a special announcement to make here between now and tomorrow at 1 pm Eastern so keep your ears out everyone.

:gtpflag: Spinning Arrows DTM Reunion Event :gtpflag:

Welcome back everyone who has been away, it has been a bit since we've all raced together so this event is here to rectify that exact problem. Some of you may remember in November of 2014 the club ran an endurance race on the Nurburgring Grand Prix circuit, well this event is a near carbon copy of that with a few fun little tweaks and references to good old times. So, with that all said, let's get on to explaining the event.

The race itself is the same length, 90 minutes of beautiful sunny German weather with no sight of rain anywhere. If you have a problem with that length, talk to @mphile77 about relief methods.

Qualifying, now here's where things take a bit of a turn. Instead of a regular timed session running all by yourself there will be a qualifying race. This race will be 10 minutes in length and sets or "eliminates" positions 6 through 16 a la BAD. Following this race will be a top 5 shootout to see who takes pole which everyone else may watch a la BAD finale (let's not talk too much about that particular event though). In this session each of the top 5 finishers of the heat race take to the track by themselves for 1 warm up and 1 hot lap to set the top 5, and no if you spin on your hot lap you may not take another. You may also not turn around at the end of your warm up lap if you spin to get a better run to the start line.

After qualifying has concluded there will be open practice for approximately 15 to 20 minutes before the room is reset for the start of the race. If you do not make it to the start of the heat race you may still race in the big race but you must start from the rear.

So that's how the race will work, now for the cars. The cars have been properly prepared and balanced for this event to within 2 tenths of each other. So you may take your pick and be confident that you will not be at a great disadvantage to your competition. Do keep in mind that some cars are harder to drive than others so read the test notes and make your choice wisely.

Also Note: you do not have to use the setup provided with the car, it is provided as a resource and proof that the car can do the time that has been quoted to do.

Testing Notes: Generally nice to drive, has some lingering understeer that just doesn't go away. This car can become a bit oversteery if throttle application is careless, treat it nice and you'll receive the same in return.

Testing Notes: This car is really quite tame, it doesn't really fling itself around and doesn't understeer terribly. It will probably be one of the more uneventful cars to drive in the event in terms of incident possibility.

Testing Notes: This car definitely wants to understeer but can be tuned to behave pretty well. Due to it's lighter rear end this car should be kept under careful observation when exiting tight corners.

Testing Notes: The BMW is probably the most neutral handling car of the ones this side of the millennium. Being smooth with this car is paramount to going fast in it but boy will it go fast if you are smooth enough.

Testing Notes: This Mercedes likes to go fast down the straights, now that doesn't mean it's a pig in the corners, but care is required to get it going nicely. With a hint of understeer in the handling it is quite controllable.

Testing Notes: The Alfa Romeo is really quite like the people who built it, very enthusiastic but a bit prone to errors. Even with its four wheel drive the tail of this car should be under watchful eyes or else it could pass the front of the car.

Testing Notes: This car, be careful with it, it is easily the worst to drive not because it's terrible but because the others are so nice to drive. If you choose this car be prepared to work, hard work is rewarded though so don't be intimidated too much.

Testing Notes: The Calibra, what can I say, this car is an absolute star. By far the tamest car of the entire group, but it needs to be pushed quite hard to go fast. Be smooth and early with the throttle and you'll be on your way.

DAMN!! Thats some killer stuff my dude! Seriously, great work!

June might give me enough time to swoop that PS3 from my bro. Putting it in my calendar. No promises, but I 'll take a reserve spot for a Calibra (if it's permitted), I miss that car.

But the real question here is are you an Opel or a Vauxhall man? :P
