I can probably get on tonight.

I haven't driven the car since I gave it a quick once-over, just after the championship was announced many weeks ago. I haven't yet checked the schedule (I know it's easy to do) to see if we're on a new track or one from the game. I can probably drive around at the back & stay out of everyone's way though.

I'll get on early & run a few practice laps at the appropriate track. If I'm the first one on, I'll make a practice room. Feel free to join, any of you.
If i'm not the first on, I'll look out for your practice rooms.

it's Motegi.... it's the track you are familiar with.... it's the place where you were very competitive with the impreza last time.

you will have fun tonight.... 👍

I didn't know that track very well at all before I practiced there for the Impreza event. Hopefully I learnt enough that I won't crash too much or foul anybody in this one.

My machine is on but so far it's only charging the DS3 while I eat. I'll load the game up soon. 👍

Hey Guys,
I want to apologize for the late notice but its looking like tonights event may need to be pushed back until next week. I am unable to host tonight and could not get a replacement in time. I apologize for the inconvenience but it at least does offer more time for practicing prior to running the real thing.

Of course if one of you volunteers to host the race, it can still go on as planned.

I really should be getting some sleep anyway.

See you another night.

So glad you guys managed to get the race in. That was really bothering me. Lets hope the next series will have a better turn-out. Just remember that the next race will be a casual night and I'll be back after my long absence.

Sounds like a good movie title to me "TARKUS 2 - he's back and this time he means business"

Cong to Gordon, Alex, Pkart, myself and Kingdom

Wow, what a race last night!!!:cheers:

Haven't had such an exciting race and tight battle for a long time..!!! 👍

Took the position from Gordon on the 2nd right hander at the start and I remember we were between 1.4s-0.7s apart until the first pit stop.

When Gordon came out of the pit I was about 5s ahead and I thought I am safe...

but hack... he was in light-year speed and caught up on me within 10mins...

a mistake on the 2nd right hander means I lost the lead to Gordon and he started to get smaller and smaller on my windshield.....

I first went for the 2nd stop, too rush and I bang into the pit-wall.... lost about 5-7s on that cause have to reverse... :ouch:

Look at the pit menu and I thought.... "mmm.... fill in another 50L should be ok...." (and that's the biggest mistake I've ever made!!!)

I came out, and I remember Gordon pitted the lap later... I was about 32s behind at that time....

Thus I thought I might be able to catch up on him if I run this lap properly...

And yes... I was only slightly behind him when he came out of the pit...

Maybe it was the cold tires or whatever, I was able to catch him up quickly...

And starting from that point we have the good battle until......

Until half way through the very last lap......

Still in the lead... but the fuel gauge was pointing left.... dead left...

No fuel............ :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Congrats to Gordon.... :cheers::cheers:

It was fun and exciting. 👍👍👍

I tell ya that was a fun race too much understeer when I had over a half tank of gas but when I was under a half it drove fantastic.

So the first run Alex got the quick jump and just couldn't get around him so just tried to pressure him into a mistake and it didn't happen in the first stint.

Then Alex pitted and thought the one pit stop strategy but the pit delta time was too short so I pitted only put in like 30L of fuel got out the pit and I flew mid 1.47 laps past Alex with ease and I was gone

Saw Alex hit the pit wall entering the pit the second time ever and I was yes I got this big lead then uh oh I'm almost out of gas and had to pit a lap earlier then planned and added to much fuel to where I got out ahead of Alex but he got pass me pretty quick.

Went to plan C after that happen and was to sit behind and pressure him into a mistake which turned into a battle for the final 15 minutes. Bumping, off roading, T bone. Then came the last lap made a slight error coming to take the white drove turns 1-4 perfect upto turn 5 I said to myself I'm gonna push him into the dirt but all of a sudden Alex slows and I passed him and i took the win, I was surprised but it was a great race be me and Alex

Kingdom Mazda and pkart had a great battle to when I saw their arrows on tracks good job by them too
Well onto casual night let's see what craziness Tarkus2 gets us into :lol:

This is really cool reading the recaps from you and Alex. Very enjoyable!

:D:D

so far the laptime is 1:23.mid...

and that's human laptime.

alien aka EH and Gordon laptime should be around 1:20.or-lower.
So is it proper for you to call those guys an alien when you're one yourself? I don't know how that works when dealing with people from numerous different planets. I guess technically you would all be "alien" to each other.

EDIT: Don't know why but lots of "rings" ended up in the casual night agenda for those that can make it tomorrow. It will be my first race in a few weeks so expect some rust.

It's a great night for racing I'll miss the first 2 or 3 races since my L.A. rams are on the clock and have to watch them draft a QB that will last 3 years probably

Did my first laps at sugoland or whatever it was called all slower then 1.26 so I'm revoking my alien status to slowpoke until next thursday
