Any car on the photo list including the Base models.
The rest of the GT 500 cars belong to the JGTC series. Those will be used in the Historic GT 500 race.

As far as the HSV out running your other cars.
Could it be your more comfortable driving the HSV?

I'm running the Calsonic Impul GT-R with RH tires and clocking 1:55.
Of course I cheated. I read what I typed in the above post about transmission, transmission, transmission.

Now I can run on the track longer than you can and use less fuel. The HSV will burn more fuel than the GT-R. The Lexus has less engine wear in the long run than the HSV. So which car is better. If your caught behind a slower car, now what?

The McLaren F1 is fast at the expense of fuel. I told Arveena and he was the only one who listened. He also ran on RH and RM tires only. Had I taken less fuel on the third stop I would have caught the guy driving the Ford GT at Lemans.

There was no way I should have came in third.
No way. From last on the grid to third. No way. A fourteen year old car. Long wheel base which is prone to under steer.

If it does turn into an HSV feast. The tight track will weed them out.

Offline I'm running 1.50 SS HSV and I hate this track so i never run it...
I'm sure online 155 is realistic....
It seems this event will definitely be more about comfort in what the car does for you and extended concentration.... So yes I will continue my testing
(Going down to 580hp only decreased PP to 598 on the HSV Base)

Perhaps an early judgement - the Supra and GT-Rs I have range wildly in my tunes some for loosy goosy speed and some stability

Again could be interesting what is the magic combo for people

Having said all this and my renewed dialog - 1 car / 1 track / plenty of prep time is what I love!!!

....also I MAY be back in the mix tomorrow night gentlemen!!!!!! I have vodka so that's a step in the right direction

1. set up a fan
2. don't drink
3. don't really overly plan on winning
4. do expect to be dripping wet with sweat after the race
5. if you think you are over thinking the race... I guarantee Tiger has overthought the fact that you are overthinking that you overthink that you should overthink the race, but it still wont be enough as he has outthought how that will benefit him, should he be able to figure out what are all the ways that your outthinking the variables could effect others, and therefore him...
6. hold your line - whatever you do... hold your line
7. use your mirrors, your mirrors will be more important than your tires...
8. put a post-it note on your TV to remind you to record and save the session - I guarantee you will want to! There will be epic battles you will and will not be part of and will want to see... guarenteed
9. plan on getting a good night sleep tomorrow after the race... you will be spent!!

I enjoy this previous post dating back just hours before Lemans.

Ole
If I can offer a suggestion.... I feel more testing is needed to determine the correct limit the HSV should have so this doesn't turn into a HSV event.... My versions of GT500s has the slowest of my HSVs crushing my fastest other GT500 car by 3-4sec... (Detuning the HSV to the estimated 580hp/600pp).

That car it beat isn't even on the "approved list" (NissanZ GT500)

Also is any car with the label GT500 1100kg and 600pp invited...

Edit.... I got a GTR within 1.899 but that again was my slowest HSV

I'll play around and see where my numbers are off. I'm using the Raybrig HSV and 1.89 is correct.
570 could be the correct number. Hopefully I'll have it fixed by 8:00 PM EST.

Ya it was great does anyone post results?
Typically the casual nights do not get posted as they're not taken very seriously. When we do the larger events, you will see much more follow up and the winner gets his/her name on the plaque. I do want to add that although casuals don't get results posted, Manny usually does some fantastic videos for both casual and event nights.

The key to Suzuka is understanding the track and being comfortable with your car.
If you're fighting the car for 50 laps, forget it. You won't be competitive.

You want a balanced car vs a flat out speed machine.
Suzuka will NOT forgive you for a bad decision. There is NO section of the track where you can hold the wheel straight and relax.

This is Suzuka gentlemen.

Damn this talk about Suzuka is getting my lower extremities excited. I may skip the Casual Night and check on my Team. I'm sure they've got something to discuss.

Take the time guys and read posts 1257 and 1258.

Ok, after spending 10 million credits just to purchase the Super GT cars.
Double checking and purchasing every engine upgrade(s) the dealer had.....

The HP will be 570.

Now to recoup my losses the laps will be changed to 60 laps.
Tire Compound will be set.. since nobody decided(post 1257).. to ON.

Since some of you will just have enough funding for this race(Aug 28th). Nov and Dec will also be Grand Events featuring our GT 500 cars. You could call it Super GT Tour.

The tracks will be Twin Ring Motegi full course and either Tokyo R246 or Spa Francorchamps(with night driving).

Don't worry I will decide which track.

I should have all three Announcement Sheets ready by this weekend.

Now its time for Casual Night  Maybe I can get lucky and win at least 1 million tonight.:lol::lol: In my dreams :yuck:

Another great night of Casual racing.
Hopefully I can shake the T500 blues and be a little more competitive. Commmmme on PD :nervous:
For some reason if I pick a car that I've never used the wheel goes...south.

That's ok though. Casual Night is my night to relax and watch everyone else.

Now back to the office. :ouch:

Casual Night July 24th is just around the corner.

Let me know which races had the best action and I'll try and capture it in a photo. Manny will work his magic with the video. 👍👍👍

Tire Compound will be set (NORMAL)👍

sorry I had to be hauled away in a stretcher mid event... the internet has been acting up since I added my wifi range extender and my signal dies for like an hour and then reappears randomly - its odd... anyway... good fun racing was glad I was able to participate after a few weeks off... have a good weekend

Ok gentlemen, I still have the keys to the Suzuka track.
Last night's pre scheduled agenda race at Suzuka was a great indication that the Grand Event is on most of our minds.
So tonight I'll open up the track for testing. All the race regulations will be set. The only exeption will be the laps(15).

I'll have the tire compound and pit stop turned off.

So use this opportunity to test, practice, and race against the field.
Key things to keep in mind.
Track knowledge
Passing and no passing zones
Car behavior

Most important. Your ability to control your car and sweat level.

7:00 PM EST practice. 8:00 PM EST PSN time. Race start.

The Demon is coming.
All it needs is some more transmission, transmission, transmission work.

 Hey Team! 💡 I came up with a new Idea to capture action from our races. I decided to lower my Sound effect so that way I can record all of our conversations and event though I was racing this Thursday night at a low audio level I have to say It was worth IT!!! 👍👍👍

:) Now I can combine Replays with actual live audio from the races and the synchronization is PERFECT! I decided to go with an exterior view for this video and in my opinion I think it was better then "Hood View or Cinematic" :sly:

Tell me what you guys think :gtpflag:

ENJOY! :cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers:

Last night's practice/race session was very interesting. Very interesting.
The Hondas are not much than the SC430s. Quick but at the expense of tire wear. The Lexus' are sligtly slower with mininmal tire wear.

I'm thinking about opening the track again tonight.
This time my Team wants me drive our GT-R.

Time will be 7 ish PM ESTwith the race(15 laps either 9:00 or 9:30).

One thing that was discussed last night.

Different methods of keeping body temperatures at an acceptable limit.
So I'll leave it at that. Endurance driving encompasses everything.

Tonight's practice/race session was very interesting again. 👍
The GT-Rs will get the respect they deserve from the Hondas and Lexus SC430s. ;)

This race will be about who can drive the car they chose and make the least amount of mistakes.

Gentlemen, ............choose you weapon wisely.

One more Casual Night then the Tour of Japan(July 31th).
GT 300 at Tokyo, Special Stage Route 5, Fuji, Suzuka, and Twin Ring Motegi.
