So...do you happen to have any spots left? I sent a FR to tarkus1 last night. I'm a long time GT player who hasn't gotten any faster over the years :). I used to race Forza online, but only have one online race in GT under my belt. I'm a clean driver, but I do worry with my lack of online experience that I will cause an accident. Anyway, if you have spots left, let me know

Right now were getting ready for a Main Event race scheduled for July 31.
There is an Announcement Sheet posted at the top of page 48.

If you want to pass on it. We always have whats called a Casual Night every thursday night around 8:00 PM EST.
Its basically a car show with a few PP limit(only) races. The drivers get to vote on the track and we have fun running five laps each.

If you want grab a grab car from the list/ video and join us.

ADDED: The Announcement Sheet has been revised.
It seems make-up and dresses is a great motivational tool to get everyone PUMPED UP.

We are roughly 30 hours away from the Tour of Japan. Can you feel the warmth down under?

Benny, as Tjger stated above, we are currently planning a tour of Japan for this Thursday but after that we will go back to casual racing (until late August when we do another main event).
But to summarize, you are welcome to jump in any time although this week will require a GT300 car. Any other week it will basically be a car show and random tracks all for fun. It's a great group of clean racers from all over the world so jump in any time and have some fun. As long as you aren't one of those people that start intentionally knocking into people and you treat all drivers with respect, you would always be welcomed back. keep in mind we are not real strict either and do understand there is always going to be some paint being traded, especially at that first turn where 16 drivers are all making the same turn at just about the same time. Can be very hectic at first.

Well, I have the day off tomorrow because my wife has day surgery (nothing life threatening). So...I have no idea if I will be online or not. She will no doubt be fast asleep and heavily medicated tomorrow evening, so I may just have loads of free time :). And I am sure I have a GT300 car if you don't have a full grid. If you do, no worries. Thanks guys!

One would think with 120 cars I would have one on the list. Guess not haha. I have an RE Amemiya FD3S RX-7. Oh well, I will have to buy one. I am stingy because I am saving for an XJ13. Only 4.5 million left haha. Anyway, hope to see some of you on the track

Yeah you did.
Right in the middle of filming an unexpected storm brought rain to the track.
Our pit crew(s) were scrambling to get the cars serviced.

Typical Suzuka weather. Luckily the end of August is forecasted to be dry and Sunny.

ADDED: When I get home I'm saving the trailer photo to my desktop.
How many of you guys have access to a T-Shirt printing shop?
Ok, ok, I'm getting in over my head again.

won't be long now boys. I hope you're all prepared for this evenings races. My cars are still in transit to Japan but expected to arrive and be ready in 2 hours. track is being cleaned as I type and I hear the races are sold out so expect a large crowd. Keep in mind there will be a set 5 minutes between races so keep the autograph signings to a minimum. Good luck to you all and as always: race cleanly but more importantly, HAVE FUN. Without that last part, what's the point.

I just stumbled across this from reading the "suggestions" forum.

Apparently there is a way to turn off the driver names above cars while racing, has anyone tried this?
interesting. I haven't tried it and didn't even know. I really want to remove the other drivers names and lines while doing the seasonals but still keep my ghost car. As you can imagine, with so many people playing GT6 when I start a seasonal race there are times when I can't even see the track. if I turn off the names and light blue lines I lose my ghost car also.

I just created a room and the option is there, i just need another person in the room to check if it works. I'm assuming each person would need to go into spectator mode once to change the setting for themselves and then it stays for the duration of that room .

You can remove the drivers names from the main menu options. Go into Race HUD, I think that's what it's called, and there should be an option to turn off driver names. You can also disable it in a room but it's easier to remove them before going online. As far as the seasonals go, if you shut the ghost off you lose the lines also but, you can see the arrow of your ghost on your map. It's not perfect but its better than seeing all those blue lines cluttering up the next turn or braking point.

thanks much good Sir.

Ok folks, this works! You can turn off those annoying floating names while online :)

Each person would have to enter "Watch Race" after joining room. Then go to "Quick Options" and change "Display Driver Name" to "Off". You can then leave the watching screen and go onto the track and presto, no more stupid floating names :)
