In vehicle inspection last night Ole found his team had outfitted his car with level 7 traction control. Which unfortunately isn't allowed. Due to the high level of traction control - suspension, weight distribution, transmission, LSD, tire combinations - all obsolete...
Ole regrets to inform his fans that as important as it is for him to participate, its equally important for him to field a competitive entry.
With the pit crew off tonight and only available Wednesday - it's likely the #89 Honda HSV will not be able to be made competitive in this time...
Assuming the team can find a suitable replacement our plan is to still try to attend Thursday...
What mfgr - at this point we cannot say...
We don't have anything further at this point.
Our team is greatly disappointed and will make every effort to be there for our fans.

I paid a group of "underage workers" (times are tight) to remove the livery from my Nissan and I told them they could pop off the emblems and keep them if they wanted... we'll see... A bit less wild than the Honda... hoping some LSD and transmission work can keep me mid pack.....
My Lexus is underpowered but stable as well and just need to dial back the LSD some I'm hoping...
So I am confident I will bring something to the track... I was just very confident with what I had put together so I'm disappointed in myself for missing that...
After I left the test room with the guys I couldn't enter and create a new room that I could join...was odd - I could create the room but I couldn't enter the track.... so wasn't able to do anything last night... if I can't get online in a room to test - I'm likely a scratch!!!
Hopefully was just a side effect of the problems online has been having....

Actually tjger lost his mind when this whole thing started.
Because the NSXs would have been the dominate car. Luckily I listened to Ole who talked me out of running the event at 600PP and 580HP.
That would have allowed the NSXs to compete. So sorry, I took your advice and disqualified the NSXs. 👎Hmmm listen to Ole, he is the wiser one.

Although we do not wish to come across as a random irresponsible racing team. We realize that part of the draw of Team Vodka is some underlying drama.
Team Vodka has become aware that a mistake was made in the purchase of the #89 Honda HSV. Either the seller or the buyer, our endearing, and challenging, and expensive, and frustrating, and drunk usually, and special, and challenged at times, special special driver, made an alcohol related error that has been corrected at great expense.
The #98 Honda HSV without traction control should have been purchased instead of the #89 Honda.
The Honda's have been swapped at great expense, similar to last nights bar tab at MIA KINKI STEAKHOUSE.
We are pleased to say that the #89 HONDA HSV will be there for our fans and to as quickly as possible fulfill contracts that have been made with our driver.

A brief testing was done @ Suzuka after the presentation, Team Lexus will confirm on the 27th regarding which chassis to use for the race.

I want to apologize in advance for any confusion but I will be unable to attend the races this week and actually straight through sept 11th. Fortunately Mazda has really stepped up and will be hosting all races until I return on the 18th. So that means Team Honda will now have an empty slot to fill. Of course that works out ok as I've accumulated approximately 10 total minutes of tuning and practicing for the grand event so far and certainly wouldn't expect to be in contention.
Please make sure Mazda has you on his friend list for the upcoming races and I'll still be looking through the site and checking out the great videos Manny creates but will just be unable to race.
Good luck to you all and Manny, keep that "don't look back" horn warmed up as I'll be quoting the terminator when I say "I'll be back".
