sigh..looks like i wont be able to make it...I have an outting about 30mins into the race....unless i run for a wee bit before I leave but :( argh

BBC's coverage has been found to be lacking. I pushed for a full programme including build up & analysis but it turns out I don't hold the same sway as I once did. Can't find a live stream anywhere either. I'll have to check the results in the foreign 'papers tomorrow I guess.
Go Team Honda (keep safe lads)!

congratulations on a fun evening...
now its time for a drink!!!!!
......after I make a quick stop out in the middle of nowhere...

Hey TEAM,
As you all know I am in charge on the MEDIA Management.... Yes I am an OFFICIAL S.A.C Management Member.

The GT500 event was Amazing, BUT I think I will be having a hard time since it was a 60 lap race so I ask of you to post the action YOU guys had. Post what LAP had action that you think deserves to be a HIGH-LIGHT for the S.A.C You Tube video. Reason I am asking is cause it will take me a long time going though the WHOLE 60 lap race looking for some action.

Thank you for participating TEAM.

Even though the founder or OWNER of the CLUB (TARKUS) didn't make it I would like to say the following in his absence:

"Thank you guys for being a great TEAM and Racing clean as usual! The SPINNING ARROWS CLUB is more then happy to have ALL of you as members and Participate in our EVENT. You guys are the reason the CLUB is a GREAT success and WE are looking forward for MORE NEW members to join US & ALL of these could have NEVER been possible with out you!
We thank you for being with US and We will see you NEXT week"

I have to send out a huge congrats to all of you who raced that entire event, way to go guys! :gtpflag:

Sadly I retired myself at lap 38 (pulled off to the side) about 1 hour and 16 minutes in. Kudos to all of you for sticking it out and having that level of concentration to maintain such consistent lap times (especially erazer).
When I saw 1:49 then 1:48 showing up, I began pushing too hard and my best lap was 1:53, this caused me to make more and more mistakes and get more and more frustrated. It's a good thing my mic was muted, cause you guys would have heard some serious cursing lol :ouch: .

Having been my first online endurance race, I realized that mental preparation seems more important than car setup, I completely psyched myself out:scared:.

Anyway, it was definitely a learning experience, and I'm in awe of you guys. I definitely have to step up my game.

So each of you, give yourselves a pat on the back for job well done! 👍

Mik

As for my casual night race idea this is what I was thinking - doing a "poor man's race" with a low pp limit. If you make the pp limit 300, on say autumn ring mini in the rain...with comfort soft tires :mischievous:. As for the poor man's thing...well there is no way to enforce it but we could say cars under $30,000 and under, you can look under car search and easily find it. It gives 25 choices when you put in 300 pp and $30,000 maximum. Just an idea...I don't think we have ever raced in the rain.

The other ideas I have are similar to our last casual night, but instead of going by country, we could go by manufacturer. Maybe make it interesting by allowing two or three manufacturers per race. You can filter that in the online room. You could do a "big three" challenge, Chevy vs Ford vs Dodge. Maybe Honda vs Toyota, or to mix it up, the classic Ford vs Ferrari. I would love to do just classics for some races, but again, there is no way to filter it :(. Just some ideas for you guys:idea:. If you don't want to use them, don't feel bad. I was going to do my own casual night on a separate day, but I just don't have the time to organize it.

You probably could have caught me! Simalive and Erazer are in a league of their own, especially erazer. Using a controller, I am happy with my not so great finish. My best lap, too, was 1:53. Pretty much 1:55s all night, with a few 1:54s (and a couple of 2min+ :boggled:).

Love ur ideas, especially low pp race, even 4400 pp are good

@dolmakers...yeah I just did some testing, and 400 seems a better number than 300. 300 is much slower than I thought, even at autumn ring mini in the rain. 350 wasn't bad, but 400 seems perfect for a low pp race. Might be a welcome break from the fast GT500 cars too. Looking forward to having a beer during the race next week too....didn't dare do that last night!

Actually i prefer slow And stock car races over gt500 etc etc :D

if we're already starting to throw around ideas.... I don't know if you guys have visited RIDOX's Tuning garage...
He replicates actual cars to real life specs...
When I drive with my wheel - they feel REALLY REALLY realistic for most of tunes... It may not be the same with a controller though, and they are typically not 'alien' tunes - so they aren't always the "fastest"... but his vette tune for example... feels REALLY SIMILAR to my car believe it or not....

So perhaps we could have an event with a make or class of REAL TUNES.
? ? ? ? ?
It would certainly take some prep work to find 4-5 cars that all are tuned to super similar performance, use the exact tunes - but I love doing that type of research and putting in lap after lap... Once we decided on a class or group of cars... 2 of us maybe could work together on some independent tests - come up with the best way to manage each car's pp or hp or power to weight to keep a level playing field. Get times to within 1-2 seconds.... I'm sure he's got different classes that he's tuned pretty tight and could provide some feedback for us too.

or perhaps we could do a 1 make to make it even tighter - but with different colors and number plates and wheels and spoiler options we could deck out our cars to look a little different...

would have to be something we plan for a ways out as it would take some planning - but that could be interesting and keep it in the drivers hands as opposed to some magical tune...

just throwin out options for future events...

Great ideas for future races.
The only thing suggestion I have is...keep feeding me with these ideas.

Right now according to the Bulletin Board on page 48.
I have our original Tour of Japan 500 PP planned for September 25. The Original 500
This time we use our Japanese Road Cars on the original 5 tracks that PD created.
Autumn Ring,
High Speed Ring,
Grand Valley,
Deep Forest,
Trail Mountain.

10 laps each with no restrictions except Nitrous and penalties.
Any Japanese Road Cars.

Now as far as running a 400 PP car race.
Do you guys want it treated as a Main Event, a Grand Event or as something we can do on a Casual Night?

Next week is Casual Night. Next week there will be no plan unless you guys want one.
