Sport Truck's 470PP

yes, when you click on the Typical Opponents before the race, you can see that the Tacoma as 472 pp
;)

Thought so because those two in the lead are hard to catch but I managed to do it ! LOL ! Thanks for the reply !

I have to say, I'm a big fan of Mt. Aso tracks, but this one was just awful. Of course I realized quickly that last turn was chosen most deliberately. LOL But really, I've dashed off better Mt. Aso tracks before breakfast.

Have you tried cutting that chicane on Suzuka (turn #16 (see map)). As you're coming down the back straight take the fast left-hander like normal but as you straighten out keep to the center/right of the track then brake earlier than you normally would for the chicane. Turn slightly to the right as if you're just doing laps on Suzuka West to cut the grass. Aim your truck towards the apex of Turn 17 and power out down Turn 18 towards the finish line.

I ran all the races with the Ram which had all power upgrades/weight reduction and untuned fixed suspensions. I power limited the Ram down to I think 455-460pp?

Suzuka was a hard one. I was cleared of the pylons by lap 3 and just went Tacoma hunting for the rest of the race. Just be very careful while turning in/out of corners. I found (at least for me) that if i clipped a tiny bit of grass I'll be drifting.

Wait.. I think said you're already doing this. Nevermind then. Have you tried taking the left hand sweeper after the back straight a bit wide to use the run off area? Not sure how much of a benefit that is though.

Add an LSD and the Torque diff thing, move the power 70% to the rear wheels, soften the front dampers by 1 point and the front springs by around 3. This should make the dodge easier and quicker in the corners. As a heavy 4WD its not the best in corners but moving the bulk of the power to the rear makes it handle more like a car.

Ps. Add all the non pp increasing stuff such as twin clutch etc. Shorten the gears to the min then move 6th to 140mph (or whatever that is in km/h!) Against the tacomas acceleration is the key here. If you want to try my dodge i'll put it online. Send me a FR daddybats

Thanks guys. I finally golded em all! Really appreciate the help :)

Does this mean SUVs in the near future? Oh well my Pikes Peak Audi is waiting.

I just did all the races in a Ford F-150 SVT tuned to 470PP. No other special tuning. I just try & try... The first & last race was a bit difficult, especially the last race... but just repeatedly try i could win the Toyota Tacoma at half the last lap.

I'm defenetly not a tuner, and an average driver at best, but this 430PP setup for the Tacoma worked just fine for me :)

Did you make your tune using the DS3 or wheel !

I'm sorry, but if those Toyotas aren't a prime example of Japanese bias in this game, I don't know what is. (Maybe the 500 GT-Rs is a better example). I have tried everything but strapping a rocket to my lightning at Suzuka. In reality, I would line up a Ford Lightning against an Toyota truck.

The midget maxes at 437pp. Lol!

Edit: I'm about to attempt the ring in a Midget.

Good thing about it is I only had to brake like 5 times.
Bad thing... is the same as the good. I lost by more than a minute. Midget is slooooow.

Tried the midget on the ring twice. Best result was 5th if i remember correctly.

Able to catch the Chevrolet trucks and pass one on the last corner before the long straight. Passed a couple on the final turns.

Might be able to snatch 3rd if I try again. But not able to catch the leaders.

The AI are not bone stock but heavily mod to about 470 pp
That's why they outclass the Ford lightning. Try a stock Tacoma (about 406pp) and you'll realize PD is quite fair. A 470pp tacoma and 470pp lightning is a close match.

Any sports truck except a midget mod to max pp can win the seasonal. At Suzuka, try with srf if it proves too challenging.

All correct, as I'm sure has been said elsewhere, you can see the exact PP eack opponent runs at via the button on the front menu for any Seasonal.

The Tacomas run at a far higher PP than the rest of the field. So I took one of my own, stripped it, did the suspension, drivetrain, transmission and added an exhaust for sound effects. Runs very nicely at the 'Ring, should be good for Suzuka as well, with only ABS 1 👍

I couldn't win Rome with anything.....the closest I got was 3rd by 10 seconds in an SSR....then I tried a tuned Ram with stage 2 weight reduction and Destroyed the Tacomas....passed them both at the start of 4th lap and won by 12 seconds.

Yep, So if your like me and you were getting annoyed with this event the answer is simple....fully tuned Ram.... I blew through every race without breaking a sweat, the only tweak I made was setting top speed at 145 for Nurburgring.

Stupid Nurburgring race. I've tried everything. Those two Tacomas just leave me. Not fair.

Hello,

I have the Tacoma and the SSR but i cant find the right tuning settings.
Can someone help me please?

I;m 15secs behind at lap 4...

Thnx.

Try an ballast to get a better weight distribution, more car-like. Then tune like a car. I had some success with the Ford F150 and Chev SSR but they have to be tuned to the max, don't bother trying for a PP bonus. Was able to pass the lead Tacoma at the head of the long straight at N'Ring.

Dodge Ram, stock (except tyres, SH) 416pp, easy to draft into 1st place, 1.4mil@200% bonus, easy cash from the nerdburgy :) could probably lower it a couple of PP and still make it.

Well,if someone can find a line-up without the Tacomas then the Midget would be right in the mix.
i kept trying to get a tacoma-free lineup to be able to win with less than 470PP, no luck. and on mt aso there were THREE of them.

SPORT TRUCK Race

470pp Pickup Trucks

Limited to Sports Hard tires

5 laps Rome Cr169,500

5 laps Indy Road Cr180,000

5 laps Suzuka Cr200,700

1 lap Nordschleife Cr250,400

5 laps Mt Aso Cr218,000

Which truck to use for Nordschleife?

I use the taco at the mo, its the lightest and nippy round the bends, but i just cannot do the Nurberg with it!

The nür wasn't bad. Try shifting the ballast all the way to the back and max weight. Really makes it stable and turns a lot better. SFR only

I used a Ford Lightning with only upgrades to get me close to the PP limit. exhaust, chip, oil change, etc. No tuning needed. I won all 5 this way though a couple came down to the wire.

Nordschleife is my achilles heel ! Can only get a distant second place finish using the Tacoma !

SSR can win all races no problem.

I have the Ram and the SSR, and the Ram is almost 100HP more than the SSR when they're both at 470PP, yet I cannot win Nurbrurgring with the Ram....so how can the SSR win them all easily? I won them all easily except Nurburgring....can't figure out how to win that one.

I've gotten a third in every race in the Midget, maxxed out to maxing max, you maxers. Nurburgring took some serious gearbox tweaking, but it's possible.

Bloody Toyotas.

Regarding the difficulty some folks seem to be having with the ring, consider NOT gearing for the final long straight and instead gear for the few intermediate straights and pass the tacos around the carousel. I was bouncing off the limiter at 135mph on the long straight, and the tacos only gained 1 second between the initial timing mark and the final timing mark, so I didn't have to worry about blocking.

I was running the Dodge Laramie at 464pp
