Are the pitstop success penalties adding anything to the series? Should they be removed?

I had a from-start-to-finish race with @Invisigoth ( :cheers:) at the back. I was only 10-15 seconds ahead of him, so 1 mistake and he overtakes me + he was faster, even with older tires.

You were patient the first lap and it paid off. When we were side by side approaching a corner, you backed off, then patiently sat behind me. I stuffed up and past me you went. I was trying to hunt you down, and on occasion I was able to close the gap a little, but I spun out at least twice, and went onto the grass a few times. I think in the end you finished about 30s ahead of me :lol:. A better driver would have gotten more from the tyres. They dropped off significantly after lap 6. The rears were fine, but I think I had the BB set to max front bias. On that track I suspect 0 would have been fine.

Thank you for hosting tonight's event Paul. Good fun as always.

A few observations I noted from my position on the mid-field of the silver cup.

1) The Atenza has been killed by another 1% added to the weight. So now I'm even slower in the straights (an Atenza weakness anyway!), worse under braking and in the corners.

2) Raptor's Evo looks to be a bit more of a handful after about 3 laps. BOP changes have really hampered this car's drivability.

3) The RC-F is a bit of a sod in the slower speed corners and now seems to eat the tyres up much quicker. Again, the BOP has really upset this car.

4) It looks like the NSX has been gained decent performance through the BOP changes. Looks more settled in turns and is much faster.



I was looking forward to a good season-long battle with TotalRose and the Beetle having both taken a win and a 2nd place each until Round 3. I don't think that'll happen now.

Yeah, it's a weird one with the Evo. They've taken 1% weight off the car, but it's now not as responsive through the corners. It almost seems like they've changed something in the physics file for the car as well but not announced that change.

Looks like I'll be looking for a new drive for the FIA races for next season, as they keep nerfing the GT4 Lancer to the point it's not worth driving the car anymore.

Your Corvette was very fast and I always had the "wrong" line :) . So yep, I listened to Obi Wan Kenobi and I was patient. I had no chance to overtake you even with the slipstream. After the position switching you came closer with every lap + I tortured my tires with a 9(? :dunce::banghead:) lap first stage dropping (yes, that is possible XD ) my lap times. I was the slowest racer, but no spins, no mistakes just constant sloooow laps :D .
Autopolis? :cheers:

@Drex124 that Aston Martin is beautiful :) .

That's how championships are won and lost. Many faster drivers have lost to slower but consistent drivers. 👍 Except I wasn't fast.. I think most of my laps were 10s slower than my qualifying laps :lol:. I'm gunna use a racing drivers excuse and claim it's because it was my first race in over 2 months :P.

I didn't even bother with the qf :scared:. I watched the times (I think you were faster than my practice best lap), it was OK to me to start at the back. And of course we had to start mid-corner just to spice up the first full throttle :D :D :D .

Autopolis is another tire killer track. Last year it was a tough one with the Viper...:ouch:

Autopolis should be interesting, I tend to get good results there, but haven't driven the track since the BoP update with the Lancer.

Absolutely! Theres 2 secret airbrakes on the sides of the car allowing drifting in tight corners, evasives manuvers, performing barel rolls, and even instant 180 degrees rotation if you want to shoot rockets to the cars behind;)

Also the car is equipped with the latest version of the "Mag Lock" technology allowing the car to be attracted to any compatible surfaces... Autopolis is not one of them...:lol:
