Enjoyed the 4 race night, just wish that it could've been 20 or 30 mins qualifying at the start instead of an hour so it could've ended that much earlier. My mind was definitely elsewhere and my energy level decreased for that last race.
Sorry for all the crazy times for the rooms tonight. I kinda had to feel it out as we went tonight, i was trying to keep stuff moving along so it ended at a decent time, next week will flow better!

Fun times tonight guys .

Old Bear, I have to agree, Is a tough cookie to pass. Always a joy racing against him, clean and smooth.:bowdown:

I had someone to battle in every race. Front, middle or rear of the pack.

Thanks again.

I almost forgot, @Mike Lobban was awesome,👍 taking the top podium in one of the races. I will surely let @aerolite know how awesome you raced tonight. He had his glory last night, your turn tonight.:lol:

How is all this close-as-hell racing possible? Oh right, @Eh Team is basically the master of BoP! I mean it really comes down to ONE mistake, thats how close this series has been so far. Every race had a train of cars piloted by drivers who just don't give up.. Props to @Mike Lobban and @coltsjugg on their podiums!

The reverse grid makes it that much more exciting. It's too bad next week is two regular-run-of-the-mill races at Donington and Bathurst. Surely those will be uninteresting races.:odd:

Mphile told me last night that I was hitting everyone around the track and I was in shock because, honesty, I didn't see or feel any bumps besides first corner craziness where I was bumped a lot.
People that race with me for years now like Loban or Sgeti know that I'm a fast wannabe but I'm fair and clean.
I'm not gonna argue because I heard this before, people that had no idea they were slapping around so i know it happens.
So, if I was rough on someone, please accept my apologies because, I swear on my kids, I had no idea i was hitting you.

What a night. Want to say I quite enjoyed the indoctrination myself with the full track of racers/cars notwithstanding my consistent last place. If it's one thing you can say is I'm consistent. :)
Have to get some good tunes for the next meet up though to try and keep up with you aliens. Y'all were blazing that track man. Was good fun and banter as usual. Cheers.

Schmiggz, I was on your ass last week for the same thing. You sometimes tend to use other cars as brakes and don't mind pushing guys out of your way for position. You are too good a driver to have to drive that way. Sorry Man, but quiting doesn't help your case either.

if I was rough on someone, please accept my apologies because

And apologies you did after the race. The bump I feel was not on purpose and I greatly appreciate your quick message. We are all good in my book.

However the bigger issue is your "internet connection" or shall I say "disconnection". I was behind you and Ipecac in the last chicane and saw the contact with you going off track. Within seconds you were in the pits and some how your internet connection, "disconnected". C'mon guy you know all races are not smooth and getting bumped happens. Pulling a DP is getting old. Should I have quit after you bumped me? No. Actually I was bumped, tagged, and airborne in 3 out of the 4 races last night. I stuck in there and had battles through out the entire race field.

I sent you a private message.

Attention: im not saying this happened, im just asking everyone to please read and follow the message I posted below :D.

This goes for everyone- please use private messages to work out driver differences. If it cant be worked out there please contact Mcinnis or myself and we will handle the situation fairly 👍. Thanks from your SRM management team :D, haha management team

I race everyone clean... except McInnis. He's getting stuck in. ;)
, I exchanged a few bumpers with that shirt tucker last night. I kinda laugh when we bump because i can imagine im giggling as he is ruffing us up .

Side note:

Racing clean is hard to do sometimes with all sorts of net connections we have to endure. So sometimes that is the culprit and the guy just doesn't know he is killing ya . I know last night in the final race i was following colts jug and he braked and I accelerated at a spot on track and boom I punted him off track :banghead:. Just a racing thang, but I stayed in communication the whole time with him keeping tabs on where he was. I wanted to give him a chance to work his way back to me then i would forfeit the spot to him. He didn't make back up so on the second to last lap i pulled off until he passed and I resumed, it was the best thing i could do to feel right about the situation. Guys can choose to handle these situations how they want, but i would always expect guys to give the spot up when they knock someone off, except for Mcinnis, push him in the sand trap

I'm gonna go on a limb and say I should be given a one lap handicap next week.
LOL. Just kidding. It's all good.

@SGETI i didn't quit. I was told to leave.
Like i said before bro, keep the drama off the thread, you continue to make me out to be the bad guy here? Thats fine i will put it on my shoulders, no problem, i can handle that because its my job here. Everyone in the chat heard you say you were done racing after the 2nd race and you weren't coming back anymore. So I simply said I agreed with your decision and i thought it was a good idea that you go, its just not working out for you here. So when your ready to answer my pm that i sent you, i will be waiting. I would also like the group to know Schmiggz is more then welcome to continue his time here at SRM, he has that option if things can change, this was fully explained to him in the pm. Im not this terrible monster :D. Peace and love :)

I sure missed a hell of a night lol hopefully I can make it next week. But not looking super hopeful. Working a little extra hours right now.

It's an issue that effects everyone though, as long as it's not personal, why not post the message?

I like racing with Scmiggz, it's always an adventure and his bumps very seldom screw up my race and because we are almost the same caliber, we tend to race each other a lot. I am certainly guilty of tapping guys too, even if I think I may have made contact for a pass, I will concede the spot and try again. If it is lag, find out how to fix it and DO IT......DO IT NOOOOW. lol

2nd Annual SRM Nurburgring 24HR
2 Class Event GT3/Clio Cup

Tuesday 5/30 - Qualifying @7:30PM EST, Race @8:30PM EST

10 Laps @ Nurburgring Combined (GP + Nordschleife)
Race will be around 90 Mins!
Prep those pee jugs!
24 Hour Day-Night Cycle
Start Time - 14:00
Time Progression - 15x
Light Cloud / Fog / Light Rain / Light Cloud
Weather Progression - 5x
Mandatory Pit Stop
Tire Wear - 3x
Real Fuel
Visual Damage
All Aids Allowed

DUE TO COMPLICATIONS WITH THE PIT BOX, DRIVER ENTRIES ARE LIMITED TO 15 TOTAL DRIVERS! One spot must be occupied with an AI driver, who will drive a random car at beginner difficulty for one lap, at which time it will make its mandatory stop and be stuck in the pits for the remainder of the race. Drivers will still be awarded points for their position should they also become stuck and catch the glitch as per the stipulation below.*

Makes Allowed:

Aston Martin Vantage V12 GT3
Audi R8 LMS Ultra GT3
BMW Z4 GT3
Ginetta G55 GT3
McLaren 12C GT3
Mercedes AMG GT3
RUF RGT-8 GT3
Renault Clio Cup

Banned GT3/GTE:

Aston Martin Vantage V8 GTE
Bentley Continental GT3
BMW M3 GT (E92)
Cadillac ATS-V.R GT3
Chevrolet Corvette C7.R
Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3

  • Drivers are free to choose either class GT3/Clio, though efforts should be made to keep classes as even as possible.
  • Average Lap time for GT3's is around 9:00, Clio 10:30
  • GT3 max fuel is 7 laps, Clio 3.5 laps
  • While damage is off, it is still possible to damage your headlights, repairing them in the pit is possible. With that said...
  • The rearview mirror is very poor at showing cars behind you when it's dark. So PLEASE BE SURE TO PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR TRACK MAP. We all know there's not a lot of passing areas here, so everyone needs to be extra cautious, especially after the sun goes down.
  • This is a difficult track to qualify for, due to it's length and the number of turns. So it's possible you don't put up a time at all and start behind an overall slower car, if that's the case, be cautious going around at the start and be aware of the other cars in your class that may be in the same predicament.
*There is a small possibility of the pit bug rearing its head on this track. It happened last year, but in recent testing we were unable to replicate it. Precautions will still be taken to avoid the game bugging out, but we are at the mercy of Project Cars. If someone does get the pit bug, and is unable to release from the pits, you will still be awarded position points for the position you entered the pit. Please post in the SRM Playstation Chat, or here with what position you entered the pit should you encounter the bug that will not let you out of the pit box.

Oh I'll be driving that beautiful McLaren!

Not if you pick Yellow/Chrome... we don't have room.

:D

You're always welcome bud, don't even have to ask.
Are you trying to say that is the livery you want, or you hate it, lol.
Seriously, you are one of the bosses, if that is the livery you want go ahead and take it, no problem, I'll just go solid yellow.

No, I was just being a sarcastic, facetious, jerk, it's what I do to people I like. :D I'm probably going to battle Grim for the Orange one lol. Yellow/Chrome - It's all you!

If anyone has some available time to help David out please let him know. He wants to learn how to tune, save a tune, use a tune, find a tune, etc...

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...de-tunes-for-future-use.355795/#post-11810116

Guys I just wanted to let you know I got the clarification I needed earlier this evening while doing some other searches. Finally I got what I was looking for.
I didn't want to know how to make a tune myself, that's for some time later down the road, but just wanted to know what happened after saving a tune or tunes already made by some aliens, how it applied and how to recall as needed etc.
What stumped me before was at the time of saving tune/s there seemed to be no way of naming the tune for whatever or purpose, to save multiple tunes for each car similar to what I was accustomed to in GT6.

A guy faced with the same dilemma asked the question back in 2015, albeit better than I had IMO, and a guy by the name of @HBR-Roadhog was able to give what I believe was the clarification needed very easy to understand.
This is the thread I found it in and HBR-Roadhog's clarification is in post #4 of the thread. Happy now.
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/how-do-you-save-your-car-tunes.329647/

Thanks guys for the links posted though, some of which I'd already saw and some I'll refer again too later. Cheers.
