What a great weekend!!!. A road trip that will forever be in my memory.
Started at the boarder. Aero told me, Don't worry, just tell them your going to see a buddy and going to the races. You will be waived thru. Yeah right. 20 minutes later after two, not just one Canadian boarder officials , told me I was all set, you can put your stuff back. My stuff!! Lets see. My glove box was emptied on my front seat, along with my center console. My luggage was opened and spread on the table. The golf clubs removed from my golf bag. My bottle of Vodka was taken, (then returned). At least they did not find the other two bottles.
Thursday night met at the home of Aero and then Lobban came riding up on his sweet looking Honda. No sooner did he arrive when he realized he walked out of his house without his bag luggage. Meeting these two guys was also the best part of the trip.
Yeah that lady in the parking lot with the dog. Mike actually did have a hammer in hand. After Mike made it very clear his intention to her stupid moves. She walked over and thanked him for his concern. Are you fn kidding me!!! You thank this guy who threatened to smash your window, only in Canada.
The Spud Shack. This still has me completely baffled. We stopped for lunch and the owner behind the counter had the three of us figured out. Three wise guys. Talking 🤬 back n forth. Before I know it the owner was talking about pinkpot and had us smelling the joint. It gets better. He later came over to our picnic table and joined us for lunch and lit up that joint!!! Only in Canada!!!
Friday night is still a blur. Or should I say Saturday morning. 2:00AM before the old guys called it quits. Aero, does he have a new walker or did we have an earthquake and he was simply making sure the chair would not tip over?
Me snore? Mike your tent fell down from your snoring. The most challenging part was bending down and trying to unzip the tent screen. Would have been a lot easier if my tent would have stopped moving around. Woke up 5 hours later, no hangover for me!!. Hell, I was was still hammered, the hangover came around 5 hours later.
The racing was loud and close. Just amazing. I took a walk to the paddock and soon realized I forgot my camera, Dumb azz move. The only car I did not see up close was the Vette, (already on the track)
Grimm thanks again for the invite, Who knows maybe next year you will bring your new baby. Kelly, Kelly, Kelly.
The young guy, Eh team, had the best set up. This kid is going far. He works smarter not harder.
Memory of a life time.
